Sonata Arctica is really awesome, and Tony has great voice. Unfortunately they are such underrated band. Do you know, that Tony is a very good friend with Nightwish' Tuomas, and that he basically saved Nightwish in 2001. Tuomas had already informed their manager and label that Nightwish is over, but Tony took Tuomas for hiking and they talked about it. We all know how that turned out.
The Lead Singer Tony Kakko is the Best Friend of Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish. They hike in the Laplands of Finland together, and share advice between them. Without Tony, Nightwish may not exist. In 2000 Tuomas began to experience a severe writers block. He was going to end Nightwish and go back to college and become the Marine Biologist he was studying to be before Nightwish. But Tony advised him to slow down and not rush it. The Writers block ended and Nightwish continued on.
It was not about the writers block, but that they had issues on their Wishmaster tour (in Russia if I remember correctly). It was mostly about their chemistry, and band management, and for that reason they ended up firing Sami.
@@NightwishArena the writers block was just part of the same trouble. Not able to continue with Sami , and then emppu's unhappiness about his role, and Tuomas unable to go to his friends and talk it thru.
@@MOON-SHADOW-ANNE you are probably right. The band management was a real chaos at that time, and Tuomas tried to keep all the strings in his hands. No one was happy.

I have been listening to Sonata Arctica since 2003 and I can at least recommend their most famous songs like The Cage, Replica, Tallulah, Victoria's secret, Full Moon, San Sebastian and White Pearl, Black Oceans. They're such an underrated band! I would love to see more reactions to Sonata Arctica.

Replica is also really beautiful song...In this dvd "Live in Finland" every song is worth to listen. I love Sonata Arctica😊
