Melodia said in a video that she does a special warm-up every morning to exercise and keep her voice intact. So yea she takes care of her voice.
Sam, papa, and melody do the writing and arrangement while Abby and Ethan work on the bass line. Everyone contributes something, it all comes together perfectly. ❤
The Band writes all their songs together as a group, Melody has written lyrics for a few songs but they usually write songs together , The song Mars is from their fist EP Chain of Thorns. The Band plans to release this concert on DVD, Along with Another concert also on DVD

Yeah this is a couple years old. Abi still has the single Bass drum here. She uses a double Bass these days. Ethan plays a 5 string Bass now, and the boys are like a foot taller. LOL Melo's solo in this performance is my Favorite part. All of them have grown and matured tremendously since this was filmed. Trooper, Sandman, Chain of Thorns, and Dancing in the dark are all earlier years. They are still making videos for the last LP Queen of Hearts to this day, with about half of the LP done, and available for reacting too. 20 originals so far, and more on the way! 🤘🤓🤘

These kids are so so talented. Your description of what you thought was very detailed. I'll add though, that the bassist and keyboardist are still only 11 and 14, I think younger when this was recorded. So they won't have that on stage presence just yet. And they are still learning, as they all are. Hopefully we never stop. The bass and keyboards, rarely, are band members who show much emotion, more than playing their instruments unless they are singers too and do it that way instead.
More importantly, I only want to say Rock n Roll is from it's blues roots. Where the music is more about feeling it. Which is the main reason why these kids can do what they do so well. Along with putting in all the hours of course. Sam does write along with Melody. The others are now adding in there own parts as it usually works with band members.
Abigail is so fun to watch and you nailed it. She's infectious.

I love everything I have heard from them, because I think it comes down to Melody's voice and she has such a unique and powerful voice I can't get enough. The whole band is so talented it's ridiculous. Thanks for the reaction.

I'm anxiously awaiting for the next LILIAC album to see where they're going to go with their music. Everything they've done so far, whether it's a cover or an original has been fangtastic!

Precise, appreciative and relevant! Great reaction and commentaries! What we call here "trad metal" or "folk metal" is a style VERY interesting. They don't have that kind of personality, yet! Of course, the future is wide open for them. Two EPs of covers, and one EP and one LP of originals. Lots of stuff, already, to be frank.

@@BaldHeadedMETAL Guylain, is doing a 5 part series on their growth. He's already done Part 1 and now will be doing Part 2 tomorrow. Very interesting stuff, even for us who already have been following them for a couple years.
@@BaldHeadedMETAL You want to follow their growth? Look closely for the evolution of Abigail, Ethan and Justin. Abi is still a young drummer. How much work will she put in the art of drumming? Ethan, at 14 yo, is already quite impressive (Master of Puppets): he seems to develop a sound of his own. As for Justin: how great of a keyboardist/musician will he be? These are the keys to greatness for them. Sam and Melody are already phenomenal. They will get better, of course, but their stage personality is already defined.

Actually one of their best covers, I should say one of Melody's since she's the vital part of it, is Janis Joplin's Piece of My Heart. You've said that it's remarkable how well she capures Mr Dio's style. Janis might be as difficult and completely different. Check it out if you're a fan of that era. She channels Janis. Their cover of Jefferson Airplane's Somebody to Love is also great. And...as a New York sorta guy you'd like their cover of Joan Jett's I Hate Myself for Loving You. Excellent reaction

We told you so , a great reaction to avery professional performance . FIY this was recorded 2 yrs ago and Last in line was recorded last month . The next song to react to should be their original Nothing which was recorded in their small apartment living room during lockdown then their original We are the children and then my all time favourite their original Ballad Sailaway . Its good your going to react to Sandman agreat tribute cover which was their breakout performance with over 9 million views . Fang4life RORH
they all have a part in writing the music. they also write their own notes to play.
Actually Melody does most of the writing, Sam does the music and video editing... Melody is also an artist; drawing and painting.

Great reaction!! Ethan had just started playing the bass on that tour in 2019 he used to be the rhythm guitarist! Check out his guitar solo on their cover of The Trooper by Iron Maiden!

One of my favorites because it shows how talented Ethan really is. He was maybe 10 when he soloed on that song. For a 10 year old to show those kind of chops on lead guitar puts him in a category of some of the great guitarists. I not sure if Samuel even picked up a guitar when he was 10.Although, he shows what he can do now is with some of the greats. But if Ethan stuck with guitar I would love to have seen where he'd be today and moving forward in the future. He took one for the team. Any guitarist who plays that good doesn't want to give it up normally. Ego's are big with guitar players especially when you play lead and your that good early on.
@@bertpainter8385 I doubt that Ethan is not playing guitar any more. I am sure he is still keeping it up and would like to see both Ethan and Sam soloing together one day. I saw an early video when all five were in the band. Ethan was playing the Ukulele. He must have been 7-8 years old. Seems like they all play multiple instruments and still picking up others. Abigail started on the accordion.
Nice of you to mention the Romanian roots, I would recommend a rock band from the 70's Phoenix -Cantafabule. That was vamprock!

Great reaction the reason they got it at a young age probably because they did weekends at the Santa Monica pier for years. Melodio is the most unique vocalist on the planet.checkout Mystery , Nothing and Crazy Night’s.

Last In Line is their most recent one, whereas this was 2019. Word is Melody takes really good care of her throat and vocals and gets checked regularly. Thank God.
Thats good to know! She has a voice i believe thats alittle even beyond her age and gives her a unique palette
@@BaldHeadedMETAL True, but as an older person and having seen some of my fave singers voices go downhill, I do worry about her. As long as she takes good care of it tho. And you're so right, she doesn't sound like anyone else, she sounds like Melody. lol

NO!!! Save “Sail Away” for after having several covers and several other originals done. “Sail Away” is best appreciated after you’ve got a solid feel for the band. I may be biased but it is by far their best song and it deserves a build up to get there.

@@BaldHeadedMETAL Yes! Trooper is great. I realize about the title and frankly that's the 2nd title I wished they had named differently becuz of there being titles like them already. The "Sail Away" is way too overused but that was their choice. 🤷♀️

This whole concert was on a higher level. Melody (lead Singer) writes the majority of the original lyrical material, while Sam and Abigail do the music for the guitar and drums. Great commentary and explanations. !- 6 song EP and a 13 LP both originals.
they use to be called the cristeas. that is their last name. check them out under this name and watch them grow from being 9 11 12 year olds.
I consider this to be Liliac’s “showcase” vid. You get to see them live on stage, in their element, and the audio quality is awesome to boot. Abigail is def living her best life back there on the drums. She’s pretty commonly that way in most of their vids but sometimes she’s serious/solemn such as in “Master of Puppets”.
Great commentary and points of interest throughout the vid. Well done!
I’ll let others offer future song suggestions but beg of you to hold off doing “Sail Away” until after you have done several covers and several other originals. I consider it Liliac’s crowning jewel song. They literally upped their game for it. And to add to the hype, they’re no longer playing fair with the overall composition of “Sail Away” in comparison to any of their other songs. Please wait for it, and then allow yourself to sail away with it (no pun intended).

@@cristyrawks6325 if you listened to his reaction, he said he would like to watch originals being called vamp metal. I suggested a couple. He also said he thought of them as more old school rock and would like to hear more heavy metal and I suggested MOP. No harm no foul just didn’t understand why you replied as to what he had watched, had nothing to do with my answers to his request.

Holy crap dude!! You stop in the middle of the guitar solo...you stop at the point of the song kicking into the next gear! You do know that you wont get blocked by letting the song play thru, right? They're independant and Poppa Liliac doesnt mind you playing thru. Btw...Melody writes most of the songs with help from others here and there. Also, the parents are the only ones from Romania. All the kids were born here in the states. Other than you stopping in crucial parts of the songs I like your reactions. "Last in Line" came well after this.
I learned that in my later reactions. They are very gracious in that sense
you really need to go and listen to the songs they have written themself and listen to covers they have done.
