Looking good Nick - been following along with Jack's success, just like his Dad and Grandad! Good luck

Top notch presentation ! Every judoka has a signature of Morote, even if it is classical or drop version, but the way you described in your video is really ... really good ! Thank you sensei !

Sensei, would be possible a video with seoi-nage Korean's style? Personally, I found Korean style very sleek on this technique. Thank you.

Thank you for this video. I naturally never liked the weak base of flat feet on ground and naturally gravitated towards the one leg variant. The squatting version seems to be the best of both worlds. When I was a child learning judo I loved how strong this throw always felt and became one of my favorites. Thank you for all of the excellent details in this!

Sensei Nick it looks like your entry when Jack is bent over would work well in BJJ. Also with Morote because you have more control of his shoulders it seems unlikely that someone would successfully “take your back” or “sink in the choke” as is constantly repeated in BJJ classes.

Yeah David, with morote you can pull your opponent over your shoulder using the elbow under the armpit. So it is unlikely they can take your back unlike ippon seoi, where if the connection isn't the best, it can slip and you give up your back. And yes, really good for bent over opponents.

    Nick,
Are you directly throwing the person over you, or is there a twist?
    Thanks as always

Just think of throwing over your shoulder. If there is a slight twist on the finish due to your opponent’s angle of stance that’s ok. But concentrate on getting him over your shoulder then pop up and the rest will come naturally
