thanks for this! i was able to mix this into a few grappling competition matches where opponents were pulling back from my armdrag and extending opposite arm to push me away, i would feint arm drag left and then switch hard to right side seo inage. seems to be similar to armdrag but with simpler movements for my non-dominant side. Thanks again!
I do or used use this throw a lot mostly stranding, and also for defence from behind combined with elbow strike leg sweep, but when I was younger I severely hurt my back by practicing a pick with no gi, ippon seio nage, on a guy that out weighed me by 150 lb.s, it was quite dumb because back in the day I thought I could do almost anything, and yes I got the pick up with my hips but I could not toss him on my floor, so he ended up with too much weight on my back and as I was protecting him I hurt myself. Now 30 years later I am severely injured. I made it almost 30 years quite strong, but that day I caused 5 herniated disc that I did not know about until 6 years ago. Now in the last year I have had 2 bilateral lateral titanium rods and 8 screws in my back and both hips replaced in an 11 month period. I am working and training as much as I can, and now I am in love with a woman who is only 27, I really can't explain easily to her what it is like to recover from such an injury, I can only do the best I can as I am fortunate to have a very strong mind! !I wish I could go back in time snd just say not today! Judo can cripple either opponent. It is brutal and can be devastating. It must be dealt with carefully and dam I wish that day, I did not get too much weight on my back! There is so much to be said for basic kicks foot sweeps etc combined with heavy opponents. It it takes time to become humble. I will not give up! I am not giving up in recovering and life7 ahead!. I probably seem nuts but I can't just quit on life because I am who I am, Martial arts including Judo are still part of who I am. She is too, I am going to die someday so I need to live now with out to much regret for come what may. Thanks Nick
