I watched another channel where the guy put a speaker type kit into this type of plane which gives it the original sound when you fly. Not sure how it works but it sounded like a real fighter plane. Sounded real good.
Great! I showed a speaker sound kit that I had placed in a plane (it certainly adds more realism). You can see the one I used in my Hanger 9 PT-19 review.
FMS/AIRFIELD came out with the US or Chinese markings. Having both versons, I prefer the Chinese makings. Love those scale rotating retracts. Same as used in the F4U and F6F. I uped the power to my P-40 to a Big Foot Tacon 46, 670 kv. Adds a bit more power without chewing up a lot of battery.

In the old days if you wanted a plane you had to assemble it and buy all the electronics yourself, now you get it all pre done (except basic assembly) , it's great , nice plane , look forward to the SR71 Blackbird

Love the videos, thank you so much for this. I just got my FMS 1.4 P-40B. Finished putting it together, looks amazing. But, the manual states 50-55mm as the CG, this does not seem possible. I found a few postings that noted the manual is wrong, that the CG is really 70-80mm, can you please share any insights? I am still pretty new and what the more experienced pilots in my club say is nose heavy flies bad and tail heavy flies bad ONCE, haha. Thanks for your help.
I no longer own this plane so I can’t check but I will say I always setup my planes as per the manual, and I would have done so for this plane. Sometimes, with WARPLANES, you need to add weight to the nose so that the CG is correct with the battery. I have to do this often when it comes to scale replica planes.
The MUSTANG P51D is larger in size compare to the P40B. Mustangs are everywhere and they fly great, but the P40B is newer tech, so it is a more modern assembly and more detailed.

(your on board cameras positioning's make such a difference to the review) quick question; looked like very early morning (beautiful sky / sunrise BTW!); the car park looked empty and was surprised you didn't use the "smooth" bitumen to take off / land!
If I took off from the parking lot, I could not land there as cars could show up at any moment. Where I takeoff from is often where I land due to the many camera placements.

I have made a few videos of planes designed for FPV cameras and even have a video of an FPV plane chasing another FPV plane over snow. Pretty much everyone in the RC hobby simply places FPV cameras themselves on any RC device.
I have recently watched the Flying Tigers movie with John Wayne. They were squadron of volunteer pilots, that fought the Japanese in China. I think they were a mercenary squadron, that got paid $1000 for every Japanese plane they shot down. Obviously, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, they became a proper US air force squadron. 🙂
I'd like to tell you something strange during the assembly. When assembled, the left wing goes down 2-3mm. This causes the left and right wings to twist when the bolt is tightened to the holder. The left wing does not attach to the fuselage and creates a gap. As a result of checking, the hole in the wing joiner pipe on the main wing is not right and left and right. I doubt if this body can fly. It is not possible to fix it by tightening one side of the fixed clip and forcing it in. It twists around the pipe. It's no longer a wing, it's a giant propella. I tried to solve it by sticking the sponge, but the wings keep twisting. Is there a solution? Do I need to buy normal wings separately? I have a few FMS. but the first time is work. Today, MAULE flew very elegantly. The wings of the p40b are really disappointing. QC is suspected.
Yikes! You must be the most unlucky person in the RC plane hobby. So far I have assembled over 100 RC planes and never encountered any issues. RC foam planes are all injected milder so fit should be perfect.

Is your P-40 a V2 ? I just watched Brian Phillips rc build and his is V2 . His model doesn't have true flaps or a tail wheel that retracts, so what's up?
Perhaps he broke his or his is a different model/size? Mine is simply the version that FMS launched earlier this year. Watch other vids and you’ll see they all look like mine.

Mustangs and Spitfires all fly great. This one flies equally as well. You can fly it slow and it won’t tip stall, unlike some warbirds.

I don’t because I have very little space. So many items are given to family & friends and others are sold locally.

Zero is a pussy cat in the air and flies great. This one has attitude in looks and seems to dominate the sky.

Awesome plane, more into drones but it's something special about the speed and glide with a plane. It kinda limits where you could fly though.
As a drone pilot, I find the thrill of flying RC planes is magical especially for early morning and early evening flights.

IX12 is my backup radio. IX14 is my main radio. My IX12 is rather old, has a few issues, but still works.

Nice flight, but if you had gone straight down the runway you wouldn't have hit the grass and flipped over. Pratice makes perfect.
I’ve only had about 300 flights under my belt… I’ll eventually get it.

The more detail and electronics on an RC plane, the higher the price. This one is average in the $300 US range.
