500 ml of gasoline in the oil... That is really bad, like untuned carbureted engine that's dumping fuel bad. That definitely is reducing engine life. Id be interested in an oil analysis on that oil.
Specs from Honda: 3.7 US Quarts at oil change including filter for 1.5L 2017 CR-Vs. Which is exactly where the jugs are marked. You might be looking at the Liter side of the jugs (which is 3.5 liters).
Yeah maybe look up some facs before opening mouth about something you dont know about. As a certified honda mechanic i know about this to well 1.0 L is the worst engien they have evere made that also have this problem. 1.5 i haven seen so much problem with though
I have the 2.4 in my Element no issues so far 239,000 plus miles
Honda 2.4L K24 engines are pretty bulletproof.
That's because that one doesn't have turbo.

I wouldn't need to worry
I'd run a crank case pressure system to evaporate and suck fuel out oil and feed out exhaust for flames
Thanks for the video mate! 👍
👍
Makes up for the oil leaks after 150k. Great engineering
Lol
No bueno
Drive in winter condtions on short runs and oil dilution is terrible.
👍
3.5 is under spec for the 1.5L in the CRV, the proper spec for pre 2022 is 3.7 and post 22 is 3.8

Good to know, ty
You bet
And you recommend what oil change interval?
Best engine flush
That is scary. Do you think the K20C4, the 2.0 Turbo be similar?
It can happen to any of these new direct injection engines but more common on 1.5L engines.
Honda knows about this and hasnt done anything
Thanks for the input!
