    I used this method from 2 years ago to now and I am really happy with it!

    For ponytail wearing just use a wide headband to cover the gray in front and by the ears.

    I saw your video of several years back showing the band of color on the part to hide it. I may try this. Spent like 6 hours watching many videos how to transition. Ive been dying my own. I started off brown no red until 7. I also have identical twin with same issues. At 7 we went chesnut brown then bright copper penny through 20s and 30s. Its also wavy, frizzy, bendy, curly. All different all over. This actually helped hide we dyed our hair at home and cut too. Ive been doing upside down since 60s. Everyone thinks thats a knew thing! not! So in our late 40s we got some all over grays. Semi permanent lasted 3 to 4 months as our hair is porous. But then we bot got really white temples and side burns. AGain ok as it made it have variations. But we had to go permanent. We both suspect we my have all over gray or less dark gray with the white than we used to. Because we have switched in last few month to light golden brown. It still reds up in the sun. I think this method of dying a section will help to see just what my gray hair looks like. Oh and we are 68 now. We still have the red hair complexion. Id pay a salon to do a highlight blend thing but only every 6 months or so. Only because of our complexions with red freckles still. Anyway. This would be a start and not cost much to let my hair grow out!

    Hi, what should a person do with grey around the sides (I.e. female sideburn area)? Oh nevermind I just listened to to the whole thing - so do the triangles and a strip in the front! Thanks!!! Great idea!!!

    Thank you for all of your great tips and for following up with this video. There is a term you use that I don’t quite understand…”crown bump.” Could you please elaborate on what a crown bump is and how it helps to blend the dyed hair and gray hair? Thank you!

      A crown bump is made by back-combing your hair at the crown of your head. If you follow the link, you’ll see that this girl has combed her crown bump to one side. Depending on how much gray you have in the back, you may be able to blend the colors by distributing the section of the crown that you have continued to color to cover the section that is growing out gray.

    I love this idea! I have been getting tired of the dyeing and wondering how I would go about growing my hair out. I'm probably about 33% gray, mostly centered on the top of my head at the front. I've been surviving by doing a focused root touch up from about the level of the top of my ears about half way back the top of my head at the three week mark when my roots are really starting to show, which allows me to go about 6 weeks between the full root dye. So this is kind of replicating that in a narrower band. Also gives me something to do with the extra bottles I have!

    I love this idea, now what do u do with the dark strip after the rest of your hair is gray?

    • @suzanbarnes401
      @suzanbarnes401  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just change your part to the other side. That should cover the dyed strip.

    A little confused. I normally part my hair to the left side. So what side do I section off to color? Thank you!

    • @suzanbarnes401
      @suzanbarnes401  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I like to color the opposite side, so you would color the right side. Then when your hair grows out enough that you like the way it looks, you can go back to your favorite side.
