I'm 3 months since last dyed, can't wait for my hair to fully grow out.
Last time I touched up the roots was 2/5/2024 and I cannot wait to grow this out and never have to worry about the constant root touch ups.
It's a process but worth it!!! Enjoy the journey!
@@jennifersnyder5213 It is soooo nice not having to worry about dyeing every other week! You are going to be so glad you did this!
@@jennifersnyder5213
It takes a little time but its worth it. Enjoy the journey, every week as your hair gets a little longer, and you discover your own unique grey hair pattern, and as you notice that your hair is healthier and softer than it's been in a long time (cause you're Not putting chemicals in your hair anymore)You Will Appreciate Your Natural Beauty, You'll See what I mean.
I have noticed a lot of new growth since I quit coloring my roots. It has been 6 weeks : )
Your hair is so healthy looking.
I've just decided this last week to go au-natural. Wish me luck in my life changing journey.
I am so excited for you! Wishing you the best of luck! Please keep me updated on your progress!
Your video is the best. Thanks for the guidance. I'm 65 so long overdue because I was scared about doing it the best way. I feel more confident now. Here I go!
Thank you so much!!! I am so excited for you! It's 4 months later (sorry for responding so late but I was taking a break from social media) and would love an update!
@@GrayHairTransitionandBeyond My update is that I chickened out at that time. But I have just begun to try again now that it's getting closer to summer and I can pull my hair up so maybe it would be less obvious. Strawberry blonde to gray... Hopefully here I come! Thanks so much
@@sandysandy8888-u7s I went through the same thing-getting started was hard but in the end, it's worth it! Enjoy the journey!
Wow I was about to use a semi I was unsure so glad I saw your video
Hi Tracy! I almost used it too then I heard (and saw pics) about what it could do to gray hair.
Hi, unfortunately I did a semi/demi and I have to start over ugh…. Would clarify shampoo’s help remove it ?
Any recommendations
Your hair is very pretty
Thank you so much Sandygar100!
Thank you for these tips!❤
You’re welcome, Teresa! ❤️
Excellent advice
Hello from New York! Thank you so much for sharing, so kind + thoughtful of you, I truly appreciate it.
After coloring my hair for decades, I'm now 6 months into my Gray Hair Transition. I just stopped Cold Turkey on November 2nd. I'm enjoying the transition + learning alot along the way. I'd also like to Thank You so much for another video you posted with the Hydrogen Peroxide Recipe for getting Yellow out of Gray Hair. I know it by heart: 1/3 Hydrogen Peroxide, 1/3 Water + 1/3 Your Favorite Conditioner, since not only did this Recipe restore my own gray hair that had started yellowing from a Yellow Dye that was in My Favorite Conditioner at the time, that had a White color! I was shocked to learn that it had a Yellow Dye in it, after using it for years! I was so thankful to have found your video! You'll be happy to know that besides helping myself, I gave the Recipe to 2 other Silver Sisters who were able to restore their gray hair too!
You are beautiful inside + out and your hair is gorgeous. 🥰
Thank you so much, Ginaroberts! I am so happy you are enjoying your journey. ♥️ It makes my heart so happy that the peroxide treatment helped you and is also helping so many others!
I didn’t realize that although the color or lack of color did not mean there was no color there so i am reading the label even if it looks white. Thanks for that advise ❤
@@willmitchell2553 Its My Pleasure.
@@GrayHairTransitionandBeyond Hi Jessica, I just completed my grey hair transition this past week. My Daughter gave me a nice new haircut for spring, and cut my hair into a chin length bob. I Love it! I hope all is well with You + Your Family.
HI thanks for tips I havent colored my hair yet after being sick 3 1/2 months. connie :)
You're Welcome! You're hair looks beautiful.
Thank you so much
You're Welcome, Mayrapriore!
I am on my way 😢 to gray
Hi Pastor Sylvia Simon, your hair is going to look soooo beautiful especially with your curls (so gorgeous).
Your so lucky
your hair has a lot of white,
looks great
I’m looking forward to getting more white, as I still have a lot of dark
Then I can Stop bleaching it finally
Thank you! I am sure your hair looks beautiful with the dark mixed in. My sister has mostly dark hair with sparkly strands of silver-it is very beautiful.
@GrayHairTransitionandBeyond thank you but I prefer it light 🙂
I've also started doing the root spray and regular hair trimming thing. I'm also going nopoo because I hear stopping using commercial shampoos can promote hair growth. So maybe I won't have to wait as long to go full gray that way. I'm planning on having it grow out to about 3 or 4 inches and then just getting a short haircut
@@madelainemadelaine2934 I don't use any heat devices on my hair so I think I'm good, but thanks for the warning ☺
What shampoo do you use
Do you have any shampoo and conditioner recommendations for hard water?
Hi Assdfgghjk, Malibu C sells a line of products to help with hard water. I have not used these products because I haven't needed to but they are popular among the Silver Sister community. The products from this brand are less harsh than most Chelating (hard water) shampoos because they don't contain sulfates, or harsh chemicals so you can use them more often. You can use hard water wellness shampoo and conditioner (weekly) to remove hard water build up and discoloration. Check out their website (products are also on Amazon but website has all products on one page and is easier to find what you are looking for,imo)-they have a whole line of products to choose from. As I said, I haven't tried this brand so I can't say how well it works but many Silver Sisters have been satisfied with the results. I hope this helps!
I am 51 years old this year, I have not dyed my hair for 2 months, the inner hair roots are all white, but the most difficult thing is that the outer hair roots are too slow to grow a few inches, because it is the outer layer, because I have to go to work, and I feel very concerned about other people's eyes on my gray hair. I had to dye the outer layer of hair on the top of my head and keep the inner gray hair. Because I have dyed my hair for 20 years, I am too tired and don't want to dye my hair anymore. How can I make the outer layer of the head grow quickly without being ugly? How do i insist on not caring about (when i look in the mirror, i care about those few inches of white hair) and other people's eyes?
I felt the same way at the beginning of my transition. I didn’t want people to see my roots so I used a root cover up spray to help me get through the first few months. Once the roots had grown out long enough for people to know that I was going gray on purpose, it didn’t bother me anymore. Hopefully, it will be the same for you.
You could also use a hair topper to cover your gray roots. Many Silver Sisters have used one to help them get through their transition to gray ❤️
@@GrayHairTransitionandBeyond Thank you for your advice, I will follow your method and hope to get through this period successfully😍
@@kohirene930 You’re Welcome! Please keep me updated on your progress!! ❤️
@@GrayHairTransitionandBeyond Of course, I will share my success with you😍
Do you know of a grey spray coverup?
semi perm does not wash out it still lifts and deposits color.
Hi! I mentioned that in the video. ♥️
Great video, thank you so much for all the tips. I’m one month in and decided to do the dye-stripe method. Here’s a video explaining it(for those just starting their journey like me. 🥰 th-cam.com/video/8rl7VP3By2M/w-d-xo.html
Thank you!
全体的に白いね😊
The transition looks awful
To each their own, Friend! I loved it. Some people may not like it and that's ok! Life is too short to hate!
