Not gonna lie, that shot of Josh is AWESOME! I can see how someone might achieve a low budget version with a swivel chair and green screen.
That's the magic of modern tech. It just wasn't made to the public back in the day. Simple yet effective.

FINALLY someone explored the VFX capabilities of that Edelkrone system. It's basically what, early 80s Industrial Light and Magic for $5000? So cool.

This is for sure something I'm going to want to get eventually. I got my first ever camera recently. It's the Canon Rebel T7i. I love it. The hardest part right now is that I don't know people who I can get together with, or even act. This will help me so I can have the camera move while I'm in the shot and I have a family member also be apart of it. I don't have $1,000 for something like this but hopefully one day.

Looks like your vfx editing workflow has really become more efficient since you did the frozen time effect with all the Kessler gear. Great video guys👍 do you have any preference between the edelkrone moco system and a small Kessler system like the second shooter? I know you used the cine drive but that’s still “big budget” for me lol

This slider looks like the perfect ying for some ideas i have for using a 3d 180 camera and having movement within a scenes. But i doubt i can afford it. :P im scared to even look at the price.
You could easily build one yourself with some nema17 motors, arduino, 3D printed parts and the rest of hardware (bolts, rods, belts, pulleys, wood, etc).

Could this be done with a dolly? Like if you took theoretically three different shots! One plate, one of subject on greenscreen, and a marker in place of where subject was. Tracking the marker shot, then attaching the other two shots to the null with the track data. Trying to line the shots up with a difference matte, etc. I know it sounds a bit complicated but if someone doesnt have a motion control rig. Could this work??

Love and have wanted the full edelkrone setup for years, but the cost is a major deterant. Got one of there early slider models without modules and it's pretty garbo so that hasn't helped either :/
