    SAFETY ISSUE
    Hi all I would just like to give a safety warning concerning the location of the Denali Sound Bomb Horn on the bike. Under extreme cirumstances which fully compress the front forks the front mudguard will touch the horn.
    Today I jumped the bike both wheels airborne and on landing the mudguard made contact with the horn, the horn was undamaged and only a light scuff was left on the mudguard, as a result I do not recommend positioning the horn in this location.
    Please check the channel for a further video to be uploaded soon.
    Ride Safe.

    Hi I just started following you and you're one of the reasons why I bought the Benelli 502 x I just have to say I love your reviews but I do have a question does your bike tend to bog out in 5th and 6th gear when doing 55 mph I don't know offhand with that is in kilometers and I did take your advice and I went to AliExpress and I tried to get every single thing that you have the one thing I wanted to ask you was your front bike guard hard to put on and does it attach and does it have existing holes in the bike

    • @BikeRiderReviews
      @BikeRiderReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for checking out the review. I'm glad you're enjoying the channel. I haven't had any issues with the bike in any gear. It pulls strong through the entire rev range and the throttle response is very smooth at all speeds. The holes should be already there to mount the cras bars. If you look under the beak of the head light you should see them and at the other end the crash bars have a bracket which just fits onto the factory fitted bars, no drilling required. Ride safe 👍🙏

    Great video, good to see what other accessories are available.
    Have you had any problems with water/spray getting into your soundbomb due to location & isn't there a risk of the front mudguard catching it if there's excess travel?
    I have brought a soundbomb as a result of your video but gone for the split version, compressor separate to horn.
    I also have got one of the larger bash plates which not only offers underside protection but comes up in front of the oil filter & surrounding bits, looks good as well.
    Great set of videos on TRK, thanks.

    • @BikeRiderReviews
      @BikeRiderReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for checking out the review, up to yet I have had no problem with water ingres. There is plenty of room for suspension travel between the horn and mudguard. Ride safe.

    • @BikeRiderReviews
      @BikeRiderReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Peter just a quick update on the location of the horn, I have done around a thousand normal road miles now with no problems however yesterday I hit quite a steep hill at speed and managed to jump the bike both wheels airborne. When I landed the front forks compressed enough to allow the mudguard to hit the horn. I think the clearance may be a few ml short as the horn was not damaged at all but there was a light scuff mark on the top of the mudguard therefore for safety reasons I don't recommend placing the horn in this location. I'm very sorry if my previous reply has misled you, after a 1000 miles with no issues I honestly thought the clearence was OK. I'll be putting a short video up tomorrow warning people of the issue. Once again many apologies. Ride safe 👍.

    • @peterjameson9683
      @peterjameson9683 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello. Thanks for update & no apology needed. Better to have found a potential problem, albeit in extreme circumstances, & have no damage or injury & be able to advise people of it. I bought a split soundbomb & place the horn section under thd mudguard in your original position, wouldn't have thought of this if I hadn't seen yours. Compressor fits inside fairing in front of radiator expansion tank. Loads of space & easy access if side panel taken off.
      Safe riding. 👍

      @@BikeRiderReviews you could mount your gorn on your crash guard. Facing sideways. People from in front of you still can hear you.

    • @BikeRiderReviews
      @BikeRiderReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@VAALLDDOO2 Hi, I have made a new bracket for the horn which has raised it up around 3cm so there is now no chance of the front mudguard hitting the horn, it is also better protected from the rain. So far no problems at all. 😃👍

    How accurate is the temperature gauge that you've installed below the speedo?

    • @BikeRiderReviews
      @BikeRiderReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for checking out the review. To be honest I don't know. I have never checked its accuracy. It is installed on a switch so that I can select when to use it. I tend to use it more in winter, switching it on just before I start the bike to see what chance there may be ice on the roads. On an average it seems fairly accurate as much as it does not give crazy readings and the readings seem to be what you would expect with the general feel of the ambient temperature. Ride safe. 👍

      @BikeRiderReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi thanks for checking out the review. This is a hard question to answer as I have never ridden the V-Strom 650xt. I own a V-Strom 250 which my wife uses and it is a well made bike. However the TRK is just as well made. I think for most people it would fall down to 3 things. 1. If you value more power to suit your type of riding. 2. weather you have confidence in the reliability and quality of build with the TRK. 3. Personal preference of how the 2 bikes compare in looks. Having owned the TRK for a while now I can confirm the reliability and build quality is just as good as suziki V-Strom. Personaly I prefer the looks of the TRK. I would prefer a little more power for long trips anlong motorways, however the TRK power is still adequate for all types of journeys. So for me I would buy the TRK however i really do not think there is much between the two bikes and which ever bike you bought I am sure you would end up with a great bike. Ride safe.

I see these last years models still sold as new for like $6,000 u.s. they look the part and Im sure you can get 4-5 years out of the bike without any major issues based on these being in the world market for 6 yrs now. I can't personally do 750 lbs combined weight on a 500cc engine.
    Just no fun. I can see the value as a cheap commuter though.

    • @BikeRiderReviews
      @BikeRiderReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha, you're not wrong about the accessories. To be honest on paper I can understand why people have that view about the weight to power ratio. However, the engine is a peach, and when I compare it to my wife's Honda NC750X, to be honest, power wise, there isn't that much in it and the ride is far more engaging on the TRK. For sure if you are a rider who loves the thrill of high power fast monsters, then definitely the TRK isn't a bike you would pick but if you go on the TRK UK Facebook page it's amazing to see how many riders who have come down from litre plus bikes who are surprised at how well it performans. You hit the nail on the head when you say a value cheap commuter, but I would also add a value cheap tourer too. Super comfy, super reliable, and can carry plenty of luggage. Thanks for checking out the review. The panniers I have are Givi. I have them because they do a fantastic job of keeping your kit dry, have a good load capacity and are easy to remove and refit. They can also be put onto different makes of bike which is more important to me than the way they look. However there are many other makes and different shapes and sizes panniers which fit the benelli TRK. So if you want something different it really is easy to achieve the look you want. Ride safe 👍

      Hi thanks for checking out the review. At the end of the day it all depends on what type of things you use your bike for and what environment you ride in. I use my bike for long trip touring, riding on all types of roads through all kinds of weather conditions. On top of this I also need to record video for the channel. I don't have anything attached to the bike which is never used. As I say in many of my reviews, what may suit one person, may not suit another. Ride safe 👍

      @@BikeRiderReviews Fully agree that for longer trips you want to be prepared for everything. I am actually asking myself what could I get rid of the bike, but I do quick, mostly off-road rides. Cheers!
