Hi Tom.in the process of installing foglights.Have no electrical knowledge. My switch has blue, black and white wires. So do I just join the blue and black? Thanks, ride safe.
Hi mate it’s been a while since I did that video. As long as you have a fuse on the lights. Put the wires together ( temporary ) And test it good luck. Stay upright 😎🤘🇬🇧
Hi, thank you for the video. I just couldn't understand the part of the connection from the green/black socket to a battery. Would you please explain this more, Please. Thanks again
Sorry I’ve not got back to you earlier. It’s just that I’ve got a lot going on in real world. Plus am still living in a hotel right now. So am sorry for any inconvenience or delay. All the best Tom 😎🤘🇬🇧
Am i getting this right ? Sonyiu power up the Led fog lights fintrol bix directly from the 2 pin connector on the bike whichbis controlled by the aux switch and you shorted the on off switch cables so its always set as on. As you are turning the control box which is always on via aud switch?
Hi am not sure it been a while since I’ve done this video. And you should be able to switch it off. Do they stay on even when the key is on off position.
Hi Tom, looking to give this a go except on the right side. There seems to be 2 of the connectors, one slightly closer to the bars, one slightly further down. From memory would you be able to tell me which one to use?
You can use anyone of them both have power. The witch on the right side of the handlebars has a relay. Hope this helps Max. Thanks for watching bro. Stay safe and upright mate. Tom 😎🤘🇬🇧
Remember to use your fuse . It’s hard for me to answer without being there . Follow the steps in the video. If you’re not sure use a power meter check the voltage on the wires this should help you
Hi Tom thanks for this video, i have a question. Do you have any idea how many amps rated is the power being supplied by those vacant connectors? i read somewhere from the manual that is its only 2 amps but im not sure. Thank you!
Is the extra switch connector factory wiring is fused or direct from battery? I mean is it safe to connect the lights (or control box) directly to the connector?.. I asked because if it is fused from factory, it needs to be considered what amp fuse is used so that the lights can be under that rating or change the fuse depending on the amp rating of the lights. I see you added an inline fuse from connector to the control box battery wires , is it because the factory wiring is not fused? and I assume the red and black wires you shorted are from control box and is meant to be the normal light switching wires from control box. I am asking because I am planning to buy trk 502x next month so I had some doubts on how those extra switch and the connector is wired from factory to see if I can avoid adding separate wire and relay directly to the battery and use the switched connector as trigger for relay as we usually do to add dual horns using relays:).. Thanks
@@BenelliTomTRK Ok and thank you for the video and response first of all . So if I were to connect the lights directly to the connector it should be under 24W max right?.. if it is above then change the fuse to higher rating if possible?.. otherwise wire the control box (or relay) directly to battery with proper fuse and use the switched connector as trigger. Got it. Just wanted to clear some doubts on how it's wired before I attempt.. Thanks once again :)
The right switch has a relay. I don’t know of anyone who has had any problems using the left switch for fog lights. The switches only work when the Ignition is on.
I have watch the video, but one area I don't understand. Puluging that cable with fuse into the socket on the bike to power up the square module on the bike. But where do you plug end of each light cables to power them up?
Hi Tom, after being quoted £240 by my dealer to fit fog lights I thought I would do it myself but wasnt sure if I could. Watched your video and have decided I will, lights have arrived from Amazon and plan to fit them this weekend. Just one question, as the switch is not being used and just the black and red wire to be connected why did you not cut the wire short and connect the wires rather than run it down the length of your bike? would it not be easier (and tidier) to do this or is there a specific reason? Thanks
Hi john thanks for watching bro. Yes the reason why was the two wires are for the flashing function I didn’t want the lights to flash. And yes I think it would of worked just cutting them sorter but then I would have to retape the cable as it was 4 core and I only needed the two wires. I really do hope I can save you some money. Good luck bro all the best Benelli Tom TRK . PS PLEASE SUBSCRIBE 😎🤘

Switch is 2amp led lights are low amp and low voltage Beneili makes this switch for this reason

Does anybody know what the amperage rating of the switch and the wires are? I will most likely run mine off a relay.
It’s. So long ago when I did this video. You might have to put an amperage meter on it to see what it is mate. Sorry I can’t be more help
