Here’s a pointless glitch I discovered. You can run without running. Step 1, pick up something with Thoreau, while in 2D Step 2, run right (only works if you are running right.) Step 3, throw the object you are carrying, and then quickly switch into 3D. Don’t stop moving. You are now running around without Mario’s animations ever changing. Jumping also doesn’t change his animations. Standing still, flipping back to 2D, or really anything else will cancel it. Even pausing the game stops it. Pointless visual glitch, but I can’t stop doing it whenever I get a chance to now. :P
The softlock in flipside with clipping out of bounds, and saving before you die, reminds me of some of the things you can do in the original Paper Mario. Now I need to know if its possible in TTYD. If so, then the main trilogy of Paper Mario games all can be softlocked in the exact same way.
I'm so glad kids get to grow up thinking "Can I glitch this game?" And finding such reliable recourses. Videos like this MADE my childhood. So many hours spent grinding tricks. Thank you for the content!
Fr man, used to play this game alot back then, but then I found a wii u at a vintage stock about a month ago and another copy of spm it's been a blast replaying this game.
I’m so happy you still makes videos. I’ve been watching your stuff since the second grade and now I’m a junior in high school. Makes my day when I say your name pop up in my notification feed. I also loved all the stuff you did for SHiFT
Hey thanks! Yeah coming back to YT I wanted to make my content better than ever, and this is my attempt in doing so. Learned a lot more about editing and certain techniques for doing it, trying to apply this knowledge where I can, for practice but also to add that extra bit of entertainment value. Hopefully you'll continue to look forward to what's coming in the near future. 👍
I've started calling Thudley Jumping the 'Holy Grail' of SPM speedrunning, although I've now learned the true Holy Grail of the game is figuring out how to apparently get Peach up on a platform in her cutscene after Ch. 1, so here I go blowing dust off my Wii/WiiU...
This I have attempted myself. I even wondered if using Wii remote attachments (nunchuk, Guitar Hero Wii Guitar, etc) would help but they literally do nothing. I did a lot of that and spamming buttons. Any other ideas would probably be helpful.
@@OfficialGlitchDoctor I have so many thoughts, but I feel like a lack of technical understanding of the game means they might all be useless: - Any frame perfect things you can do with an umbrella crouch/ Peach Float to get extra height? Including cancelling it? - Is the Controls Menu accessed by the Minus button also disabled during the cutscene, like the other menus? - Do the spikes pointing down underneath the platform we're trying to reach have collision? - What is the relation between the Peach Intermission room, the hallway with the key, and the other rooms available during the Peach Intermission section? Would there theoretically be a way to clip from one room into the other? - Are the Koopa Striker and other enemies also spawned into that hallway with the key? - If Luigi were able to access any more of the castle, would it also set the game's values to Chapter 8? - Is there anything Mario can do right at the last possible second before the Ancient cutscene at the end of Ch. 1 that might 'carry over' into the Intermission scene, like a Zombie Shroom, Shell Shock, Gold Bar, or Life Shroom? - Do people have any other ideas about how Peach could theoretically get past a locked door in the game?
@@OhNoBohNovery very late reply but I believe there are also some problems with the game unnaturally progressing to chapter 8 that would need to be solved in addition to just gaining extra height
Super Paper Mario is honestly the best Paper Mario game. The story telling is like no other Nintendo game, filled with tales of all types of love. The story truly takes the game to the next level
Thousand year door is better, maybe not the story but it definitely is a better overall game. (and i say this as someone who has nostalgia for super paper mario)
Easier method for Slim Skip in 2-3 Instead of using a Life Shroom, you can flip into 3D and walk the the right, take damage by the lasers and try to land on the black part of the lasers, then flip back to 2D and Mario should do his midair panic sprite, then hold up and jump and Mario will clip through Side Note: You can also do Gold Bar Clipping in 2D but its more RNG based since the characters can throw it at any angle so it’s better doing it in 3D as Mario
I appreciate it! 😁 I am still gonna be putting out full length videos and TH-cam shorts on various video game glitches. Hope these could reach a larger audience, but we shall see. Thank you for watching. 👍
been waiting for another glitch compilation of this game ever since Gold Bar Clips got discovered, here we go! Edit: Haha yes, Fleep Cancels! I was hoping this would be in the list
Nah opening the Pixl Menu after tossing a bar isn't that strict. You just gotta act fast with a lot of it so the gold bar won't despawn. (Of course the despawn timer will pause when you are in the menu.)

i remember doing the glitch in 7:05 by accident when i was a kid 😭
Thats crazy, I didn’t think of this game when I think of out of bounds
thundley jumping is IMPOSSIBLE/EXTREME for me
This was really helpful and nice to watch. Thanks for making this vid of super paper mario, I couldn’t really find any other. Keep going!

thanks for providing more attention to that community
This video probably won’t get as many views as it deserves, which makes me sad :( Better than most glitch videos, great job!

Nintendo Ninjas have committed many sins. When their games are over, they go to the underwhere.

That golden bar bug looks broken... Just one item, breaks all walls. 🙃

Are you able to buffer the pixl menu input when doing the gold bar clip, or do you have to frame perfectly open it right after you get the gold bar?

What if you die from fall damage while completing the level by being at 1 hp and falling off the edge
game over
