I met Abe in Sears Surplus Store in Oakland NJ in 1986,I didn't want to bother him with asking him for an autograph,i wanted to but I just felt he didn't want to have all these people around him.He was kind,polite,and very sweet,his daughter lived in the next town over,and he came to my line(I was a cashier)and used his credit card to make his purchase.I am glad he is still alive & is in better shape than me...lo lLong life ABE>>you are truly a gift to us all......:)
I see Abe's face and a million wonderful memories of 1970's TV come flooding back, not to mention "Joe vs The Volcano" - this guy is a freaking living legend! Vive Abe Vigoda!
Abe Vigoda had a great sense of humor :-) The chemistry between him and Hal Linden was awesome :-) R.I.P. Abe. Thank you for all the laughs :-) ROCK ON!!!!!!!

I remember seeing him at Amy Ruth's Soul Food restaurant on 116th street in Harlem. I was so excited that I pulled up a TH-cam clip to show the busboy!!!
Barney miller one of the best comedies still today,very sad that most of the cast has passed on,nice to see abe and hal in this video,wish max gail was there with them.
Today, February 24, 2015, is Abes ninety FOURTH birthday. Congrats man. Hope youre in just as good of shape today as you were four years ago. Keep active!
grew up watching Barney Miller with my late father. I didn't understand some of the metaphors....I was young ,what can I say. I did see something in the show that many of todays shows just don't have........real sense of fellowship and camaraderie.
Rest in Peace Abe. You gave us many great moments on Barney Miller.
