You should talk to the manufacturer and offer to write up good instructions for a discount. I'm a software dev of 20+ years and let me tell ya, good documentation is worth its weight in gold.
I ended up removing two wires in one of the plugs and it worked great. Also, to program the unit with the steering wheel controls you have to access that in the unit.
I have the same unit. Manufacturer offered me no assistance getting my SWC connected. I'm gutted that I can't get it to work and paid someone $250 to install the $160 unit :( If you have any more tips, please share

How did you sync the steering wheel controls for volume up and down? I was looking through your older comments and saw that eventually got it to work

You need to go to car settings and sync it. Saw in a diff TH-cam vid
That is right. I finally figured that out and made a second video on it. The unit for the price is actually decent.
