ma shaa Allah .... I wish I have 1% of your cooking skill to make my miserable cooking day more happier ... May Allah bless you and family sis Aysanur Altan ...
I tried your lahmacun recipe tonight for iftar and it was SO good ma sha Allah, my husband loved it! I can’t wait to try this recipe, thank you so much for all your advices you’re so professional!!! Baraka Allah u fiki💞
I’m so excited for your borek recipes my husbands mother makes very nice borek but I’ve never been able to re create her taste. All she does is uses flour water salt for the dough and oil in between each layer of the dough she makes it look so easy it makes me want to cry 😂
I love how you say positive words to make us more confident to try these beautiful recipes. Thankyou!! Will surely be giving this recipe a try as my daughter loves borek and also gozleme. ❤️❤️
I am definitely going to make this...fingers crossed it looks and tastes like yours :) My hubby wants me to make it so that he can eat it on our road trip!
To prevent tears and your eyes burning from chopping onions, have a small/mini fan on near your chopping board to blow away all that sharpness from the onions. It works perfect for me 😃I would also sprinkle some Nigella seeds on top not just for looks but also add more flavor.
It’s so interesting how much dough varies for this. I’ve seen richer doughs like the one you have here and completely lean doughs made with just water, flour, and salt. I also see some people don’t use anything for the top, some use club soda, some butter. I think something is needed because sometimes with no topping the top stays too pale and it’s sometimes kind of hard. For the filling I like to add yogurt to cheese filling to make it a little more tangy. Potato sounds really good here. I really want to try your recipe!
@@TFTI finally made this and it’s amazing! I love the potato in there. You don’t miss the cheese at all. I used frozen spinach and squeezed out some of the water before mixing with the other ingredients. Dough comes out very crisp and flaky. Excellent recipe!
Oh thank you 🎉 I lost the recipe, I have been looking for this recipe for more than 7 years (I don't like the phyllo one, the home made dough is perfect to my taste)
Don’t put butter on top and then cook, instead, cook it and then when it’s crispy pour a big glass of water over it and then put it back into the oven for a few minutes. This way, you will get something more close to a Bosnian Burek which is more delicious in its texture.
This is why it’s so confusing sometimes! I see some people use club soda/sparkling water at the end and I see some people use nothing. Turkish I see use egg, yogurt, etc. it’s hard to decide!
@@annchovy6 trust me, use water/sparkling water. When I was in Turkey, there were specialty shops that would claim to make “Bosnian Burek” but they would STILL put butter and cook it and it would turn into a dry bread-like food. It’s tradition, I guess.
Thank you for sharing your tip. Your idea would be good with ready yufka sheets we have in Türkiye. It does not come like a hard bread or anything because the dough is rich. If it was made only with flour water salt then you are right. What is Bosnian borek's dough made of? thanks
@@TFT Bosnian Burek is just made with flour water and a little bit of salt and oil. We use water on top with homemade or store bought pastry. Both times it makes the Burek more soft and moist.

Yes we have many börek recipes and the dough changes as well. This one comes out softer inside, not hard. But flaky outside. Hope you enjoy

Can we use frozen spinach?
Yes you can
Where can I buy that knife?

Can you tell instead of cups in grams how much flour? Thanks.
I converted the cups to flour as I automatically do. You need about 600 g of flour, adding more if the dough seems too sticky. Also used 10 g of salt.
Do you live in turkey?
Yes
