This mine seems to go on & on! You two are wonderful together. Brilliant team work. Well Done. I really hope I get to the US one day and come visit you guys. You’ve worked, and still are, working so hard. Massive respect to you both & your helpers. Stay safe.
@@exploringabandonedmines well that's even better! Canada is on my bucket list to visit. I've got friends who live in Canada out in the wilds somewhere!
This what i've waited to see, the progress on #2 coverage to protect the people. Controlled avalanche. That is well secured, cool. #3 shaft will be easy to clean. Good, leave the big stuff out of the way. Make it interesting for the tours. It shows the size of the rocks that were in the upper part of the mine. Sharon has her heart in all of this, Kudos for Sharon. I guess Frank loves that pelican, it works well with him. This museum and it's Curators worked hard to get this to this point, shows commitment. Cool more to come. Congratulations.
What you 2 have done opening up this mine is absolutely amazing. I really enjoy the videos about what you have been up to . See you next week. Pete Australia 🇦🇺
More and more, and more to go! Frank & Sharon, you two are so amazing! As Spock would say, LIVE LONG AND PROSPER! Thanks for showing us the way you do it. to it,
Wow !!! I dig slower than Sharon !! Frank, you're a lucky man to have a partner that is that strong, but pleasing to the eye as well !! You are doing a terrific job and I'll have to sneak across the border to check out the Yankee Boy Mine. I can almost taste that Labatt's now !!!
It continues to amaze me the amount of waste rock that keeps on coming! Brings 2 things to mind- 1- I'm certain that this mine has more surprises yet to come(as I'm sure you know as well) 2- Is a two-fold thing, it goes to show just how much work went into this mine way back, & as you've said Frank, this isn't even a big mine. Then, I keep thinking how much material there could be used for road, storage area, even just bedding along the rails to help dry things up - but how to get it out! LOVED the views from the top outside, hoping that the outer, upper entrance ends up working out well to.
Wow, thank you for the update. I'm getting a little lost with all of the shafts and interconnecting stopes. Could you show us an updated map on a future episode?
Wow! that was an exciting update of The Yankee Boy. You two are relentless once you get started. Cliff hanger - shaft number 4 ..... looking forward to the next update ❤❤💪 💪. Love and greatest respect to you both ❤👷🏻♂⛏👷🏻♀⛏ ❤.
Scary and dangerous stuff, stay safe you two! Modern company owned mines backfill with liquid slimes mixed with cement and pumped underground from surface from concrete plants, also filling the voids with remote controlled scoop trams, safety is everything in mining. We on occasion flattened pickup trucks that were deemed unrpairable and threw them with the remote scoop trams, these voids were mined-out stopes that were being readied for the next slice of the mining process.
In theHomestake gold mine. It was backfilled with sand slurry from the surface but the water in the slurry was drained off as it was backfilled. I have had many stopes that were filled but water was drained so as to keep from timber from floating
Well..... if nothing else the amount of waste rock in your shrinkage stopes is shrinking. ;) If you eventually got rid of it all decades down the road you could open Frank & Sharon's Indoor Rock Climbing World. :)
👍 🤦♂️ sorry don’t recall the type of mining Frank said it was 🤷♂️ that’s why I assume there’s no tailings on the side of the mountain ✌️they worked up took the good stuff left the waste rock, floor got higher so they could mine higher , hope I got it right Frank sorry if I was out of place jumping in
I can’t believe you didn’t leave a camera under the #2 shaft when you were dropping material! Sound and small spillage video would have been epic. Please remember for #3
Another great video really enjoy seeing your enthusiasm and your passion for what u love to do and also the progress on the mine.thanks again for sharing
It's amazing to see the progress you 2 have made with the help of all the great people helping along the way!!!!!!! I don't always comment, but I'm still a faithful watcher & I thank you for sharing all your experiences with the viewers. Question: Once your done with the excavations, renovations & safety precautions in The Yankee Boy, do you plan on doing any future mine explorations?
Sharon standing they're off to the side motionless staring at something was very Blair Witch and gave me a bit of the Creeps. She's not gonna turn into a minegoolie is she!?!

They have more money than we do!
