Exciting progress, slow going back breaking work and I can see how you really have to keep your whits about you for safety. Will be great so see the tunnels you open up. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks for sharing an update on your progress, impressive. Trust you and sharon had a good Christmas... Best wishes for the New Year. Take care and stay safe... ⛏⚒⛏
A belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to come !!! Bless you both and may the wind always be at your back !! I love the accomplishments you have made and it's almost getting unrecognizable with all the rock you have moved out. Cheers for New Years Eve and keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down !!!
I dunno man. You've earned my trust and I admire the incredible work you've done in that mine and abroad but working in that slip has got to be getting damn near stupid. And too boot you're projecting an incident . Anyways, hope you guys had an extensive holiday break and are coming back fresh. Maybe you have already worked past the apparently dangerous conditions. Incredible bordering on insane! Lol i cant wait to see the museum.
That's quite a project, kudos. There are probably good reasons not to do this, but if was me, my basic long term goal would be to remove every loose piece of rock. And I'd use machinery as much as possible, a loco and a mucker, and extend the tracks to where they're needed. Build a pipeline, figuratively speaking, instead of hauling buckets. As for the big rocks you've been stacking, I'd try to figure out a way to remove them. But of course that's just me sitting in front of my computer spit-balling, it's your sandbox.
I would like to see how you get so much material hauled out to fill a small dumptruck every day... how do you do it??! With how many are you carrying out that backbreaking work? Also, are there any earlier videos of yours on this museum + mining project? (Couldn't find one by myself.) Great thing(s) man what you're doing!
Just me and my wheelbarrow mostly. If you go to my TH-cam channel Exploring Abandoned Mines there is a playlist called Yankee Boy Mine. There about 20 videos going back to when we started.
Hey Sir. I know you guys are closed until next year. But I have a question. You said you get ore out of the ground. What do you use that ore for? Just asking
Love ya videos and thanks for the great work you do given us this footage Is it always wet under the top soil if so how come Does that mean the rock on the walls is damp or no😊
When u going to buy an electric push or pull tugger? You getting old bro! They make them small & powerful today. No solar power one though for the mine shaft bro.

1941
Ray those Hanging walls look like shite. There a bunch of weight just hanging off of it. Stay safe Brother.
Hey, is that my old tow rope?
Yup!
13:25 oh oh.. man that's sketchy AF 😮

No I never stopped for the holidays...kept right on working every day!
thats some pretty good road base your pulling out of that mine its got the perfect amount of fines to it
It varies some is too coarse, some too fine and some is perfect!
I remember when you were burning brush and chucking piles down that very hole!
Not the same hole that was up at the 2800 level.

It would take a lot of time and money to put air and rail everywhere in the mine!

Frank, you've got lots of time and money. Go for it!

Skaggy old rope
Hey Sir. I know you guys are closed until next year. But I have a question. You said you get ore out of the ground. What do you use that ore for? Just asking
Nothing it gets dumped over the bank. We are restoring the mine not operating it.
Love ya videos and thanks for the great work you do given us this footage
Is it always wet under the top soil if so how come
Does that mean the rock on the walls is damp or no😊
It depends on how fractured the rock below the soil is, how much recent precipitation and on air flow in the mine.
When u going to buy an electric push or pull tugger? You getting old bro! They make them small & powerful today. No solar power one though for the mine shaft bro.
I have an electric winch but am not using it for anything. The waste rock is going down and out, Gravity does most of the work!
If I ever need a man to move a mountain. Call Frank" Merry Christmas..
We aren't moving it...just hollowing it out!
