The price varies on what level your character is and how high your speech is even if you hadn't spent single point into skill tree for speech. I tried on two different plays, at lv 20, for me at least, the price was 285 or so, at lv 22 or so, the price was 316 or something. Also, if you visit Jorgen first, he'll have the blade fragments, the pommel stone only if you visit him last. This means what is guarded by who changes depending on the order who you visit in which order.

Along with the fact that left-handed power attacks strike twice, your character's DPS is calculated by the weapon in your left hand, not your heavier weapon. So mechanically speaking, you could hold a super heavy mace in your right hand, and a super light dagger in your left (like Mehrunes' Razor) and you will get the DPS of the dagger, and you would gain an incredibly high DPS.
Camel I think it's great that you not only present a thorough discussion of Mehrunes' Razor but also give advice on how to use it to full advantage. Keep up the great work.
It seems like the daggers usefulness should go up as the game difficulty increases, since characters have larger health pools but instantly killed is instantly killed either way.
The item held by each of the three current guardian changes depending who you visit first. For example, I went to Morthal to buy the piece off of Jorgen first, and he had the fragmented blade, not the pommel stone.

I agree it's OP there's no argument there. but the thing is the dagger is meant to be an insta kill weapon, as in one hit, one kill. As the LDB we are arguably the strongest wielder of the dagger, if Mancar could use it to defy the laws of Aubris and make himself a god then we should at least be able to kill everyone in one hit and one hit only.
My Hentai Girl That can't be enchanted, and in the base game can't even be upgraded all the way. Your missing like 50 damage at least using the twin souls perk, and even more from the upgrade thing. And since daggers 1 shot with stealth anyway the 2%~ chance to 1shot doesn't save it at all.

I think this is a dagger every assassin should have, as long as your role-play allows it (assuming you role-play). Even if you don't intend to use the dagger, it just feels like every assassin should at least mount it on their wall.

I can never honestly justify getting this in my playthroughs. If I'm a rogue type I mostly play stealth/sneaky in which case the only time I break out my daggers are for a close quarters stealth kill, everything else is bow sneak attacks, even then if you have the perks up to assassins blade the enchant is hardly necessary. Plus the level requirement on the quest means you'll deffinately have the perk by then. It's model does look pretty awesome though.
So, fun fact, you had a chance to kill Silas' ancestor in TES IV, since he was apparently one of the Mythic Dawn guys in the tutorial dungeon. BUT WHICH ONE?

I know this is a little late, but you are right. If you get the 1-hit kill from the dagger, the person drops dead with no cinematic kill. The difference is, if you wanna show off a weapon, it has to be a cinematic because it looks cooler. Everytime I do a run of the game, I use this to kill Alduin. Spam at him for a few seconds until he dies. Super useful on legendary.

Thanks to the large amount of respawning loot in Mehrunes’ shrine, I was able to get Dragonscale boots before I got my smithing to level 100

How to bully alduin: the weapon
Used the razor on Alduin in Sovngarde as a joke in my first playthrough. One shotted him. Wasn’t sure if I should feel accomplished or pathetic lol

Assuming the theory about the dragonborn being an avatar of Shor is true, do you guys think the daedra would know about it? If so, why would they presume they can threaten the dragonborn?
