Thank you for the update, Insider..!! Reminds me of that time when my father bought me a Ford Mustang back in 1992. The car's carpets were all wet, and looked like it was under water for some time. The dealership didn't say anything.. so we took the car home.. but brought the car back to the dealership a couple of days later. I told them the carpets were all wet and it's been days. They asked me to leave the car with them for a day. When I went back to the dealership the next day, there were at least 5 cars in the garage looking like the car in the video. It looked like they brought the cars from other dealership that had sunken under water. (lol) The carpets were all dry and I was happy, so I came back home without asking what happened.. now that I think back, maybe I should have asked what happened..
The flooding here in Kentucky over the last couple years has been horrific. This video was satisfying for the before and after but also heartbreaking as it is a reminder that for so many people, this was the state of their homes, vehicles, and every single thing they own.
For starters the seat covers would have to come off and the foam pads cleaned. Otherwise any organic material in them would stink to high heaven anytime there was the slightest bit of humidity. But there’d be so many other problems with this car the smell is probably low on the list of concerns.
@@maxclough8931 LOL what???? I don’t care if you used $5000 per sqft leather. The foam in the seats are going to be soaked. What do you think, the leather seat covers are now a water proof sealed bag?
This was definitely resold (NOT FOR PARTS!)... hopefully with a salvage title that annotates FLOOD. Hate to be the buyer if it didn't come with that disclaimer.
How to sucker somebody into paying too much for a flood damage car. Great guy. Why would you reinstall everything if you were so innocently “selling it for parts?”
@@I_WANT_MY_SLAW No, this is a collectible car where even if it doesnt work, it had good resale value to those who want these types of vehicles to fix up or for parts for one they currently have. You dont know cars

Absolutely. I'm a former car salesman, and flooded cars are the absolute worst. Buy cars that have been in accidents before you ever buy a car that's been in a flood.
@@-so2no I think it is hyperbole to say destroy the car, but you would have to replace the complete powertrain and body wiring harnesses. Even though you can get the car running again, the stranded copper wire wicks up the water inside the insulation and over months/years corrodes the wiring from the inside out. It is a hidden problem and difficult to diagnose which it is why it is generally better to pass on a flood car imo
If you get it quick enough and the car is worth it then it can be done however you'll never get all the mud out. It's between the panels where you can't access. It will never be free of it
But it suck cause alot of flood vehicles make their way from that zone to other states and people become victims of the inabiloty to drive them over time. Mold shows up in the areas that werent accessed. Your health goes bad. And im guessing it was the insurance companies that kept these vehicles on the market. Trying to recoup some losses. Then making our lives miserable. I dealt with 1. Lucky i knew it was a flood vehicle before i signed the papers. Its the seat mounts. They rot a certain way when exposed to salt water. But this practice of putting flood vehicles back for sale has been around for over 10 years so its going to keep happening and more victims of poor practices will show up. Theres no money in doing whats right.
With a good conscience they cannot sell that car? Well with full disclosure and a complete understanding of what went on I’m sure someone would be happy to give that car another chance. I’d buy it with the understanding that it may need some electrical and electronic attention. Someone might want it who has plans of fully modifying that chassis into a race car or something.
In Britain, as the British say, all cars are covered with mold in the first six months after purchase. they are very damp. I wonder how they would have saved themselves from mold after such a wet cleaning?
So you took out the carpet washed out the mud put it back inside the car and wash the carpet with soap. Why wont just wash it when it was out of the car ¿ just sayin
From my own point of view, you need to invest smartly, if you need the good things of life. so far i've made over $505k in raw profits from just q4 of the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it you have the right strategy. mutual funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key for short term. Most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.
Lipstick on a pig. The problem is the damaged electrical and wiring, possible water in drive train and the corrosion to body and suspension. Making it pretty don't fix the real problems. Just lets crooked people scam car buyers

The end result is so satisfying, I don't wanna clean that myself if I was its owner. Good job guys.

watch their yt channel.

Yeah that makes zero sense. You spend days cleaning a carpet, and you put it back in the car?
The people who did it was cleaning it for someone else so they couldn't give them a car back which was stripped
Next Day, on Craiglist: Firebird for sale, like new, CLEAN CARFAX!!!

There's no way this was sold for parts especially if they got it running again.....
Probably they export it.
It's the salvage/rebuilt title that flooded cars like this get that make people just take it apart
I guarantee some looser sold it reconditioned. That car is junk though being flooded that bad.
People want parts for that POS 🤣
A cat like this would need parts instead to repair.
Malaysian people will need this !!Fosho!
There is heavy flooding going on in Malaysia right now, and when this video popped up it was so interesting to watch lol.
@Ibnu thank you
This looks so satisfying 😍
Its surprising they actually take the time to clean it rather than just scrap it
Hey said they won’t sell it. You’ve never worked at a dealer then 😂😂

Does not make sense since the carpet is already out why put it back then clean it again
They can definitely sell that car to someone, as long as the buyer knows it’s a flood car.
i wonder how much they charged
They defenitely will not sell that car to another owner xD
