- GT7 is finally here and I have already tackled the license tests! I really had a good time with them and am so relieved not only to complete them but just that these tests were actually a good challenge. I pushed through the frustrations just as I had to all those years ago in older Gran Turismos. I can't wait to try the rest of GT7!

I haven’t played this game or this lesson yet, but from what I’ve seen, it’s all about being ballsy while being perfect. You gotta push the car as hard as you can while trying to avoid curbs and wet spots in a light 600hp RWD race car. Hell in one lesson
This test was not as hard as it may have seemed at first. Without a doubt, for me the most complicated was the Tokyo test with the Toyota Supra
Your saves are just incredible.
For some reason I found this easier for me than S-7 using the formula 1 car, I was on that for 3 hours
i did s7 easy and without nitro after the update
Same, did this one in one try. S7 though, took about 7 hours🤯
I thought the same I'm using no assists and once you get confident with the Porsche and track you can beat the gold time easy. But s7 kicked my ass for some reason.
This was really easy just stay on the dry racing lines and everything will be fine

The best way to understand this track is that there is a track within the track. The puddles are lava! Lol
I watched this first before jumping in myself, with a controller. It was surprisingly easier than I expected but those puddles and wet patches were still brutal. I had to switch between TCS values 3 and 4 constantly. But I still got the gold in about an hour of trying. Much more forgiving than the Red Bull X2011 Vettel challenge in GT5. That one took me an entire day and it was never meant to be done with a controller. IDK how you guys with sim rigs do it, and in cockpit views no less LMAO. Respect.
I use controller and have all aids off, it's the only way.
Controller has baked in steering assists even with everything turned off that gives you a lot of stability when any small correction is needed.
No way you could steer with an analog stick without it.
Damn that intensity and the pay off. This month is amazing with Elden Ring and GT 7 we get two master pieces at once.
I had never been more hyped for a game in my life than with elden ring. I bought GT7 on a whim and somehow I’m 60 hours deep on GT7. Such an incredible game. The gameplay is awesome. I just hope they add more content soon.
Jesus, i made it yesterday, after 2 hours of trying, with a controller😂 at the end, i had a 2:24,954. such an awesome final test man.
Its great, I'm kind of tempted to try it again sometime soon 😅
@@unleasheddrivers1281 nah, for me its allright how it is now😂 im looking really forward to all the stuff that is comming to us with gt7! this game really takes me back when i was a child and played hours and hours with gt4. i cant wait to race the 24 hour races, i mean i hope they are in the game like in gt4.
Dudeee are there single player 24 hour races? I havent found them yet or maybe I am blind 😂

I did it with a controller with a 2:24 as well. Definitely the hardest test ever
Did that 30 min ago and almost cried when I did it and knew I don't have to do it again. Worst part was actually nailing the whole lap and then miss out on gold and start again😩

I did all the licences back around late 2022 when I picked the game up and got gold on all licences except this one, initially. I ended up looking to youtube and reddit for advice, and found that adjusting things like sensitivity on the controller helped (yes I am a controller player, not wheel). This helped me get more comfortable with this licence test until I finally got it gold (and ended up platinuming the game)
I lost access to my PSN account last year and had to start again from scratch but the licence times had all been reduced, making them harder to get (they claimed it was due to the physics changes, but I never found the physics changes made a difference for me). Weirdly though this was no longer the hardest one for me. I ended up with 6 tests that were either silver or bronze, and left the tests for a while. Came back to the tests last week, and bit by bit over two days I managed to get them all (even the two I absolutely hate, the off road one and the Super Formula 1).
This test I actually smashed it on my second try.
The one that was really getting my goat though was the Nissan Silvia one.
So anyway, I have now managed to get my super licence all gold, twice now and as I say, that is with a controller.
Just a couple of trophies away from platinum too, but those are the annoying ones of taking 100 photos and the one with the three legendary cars.
Us mere mortals will never attain that gold! That is the most trouble I have ever seen you have controlling a car in any sim title.
It was a wild experience for sure. I dont think I'll be getting in that car in the the rain any time soon 😅
This challenge was brutal, took me longer to get up the first hill than I'd like to admit but I'm glad I got the gold, but to be fair to all of us the insane amount of oversteer seems to be a bug at the moment as even low PP cars are doing it and it seems polyphony are aware of it, so it makes it all the more impressive to gold this
I'd sure love if they can fix the killer oversteer on every car. If they do fix it however, i hope they adjust the times to beat on license tests too so that they arent too easy
@@unleasheddrivers1281 I fully agree, the wet mechanics are actually really good and the driving physics are honestly comparable to the likes of iracing and ACC and as someone who plays all of them I was impressed, other than the oversteer issue this game is solid.
This is a tough one. i was so happy when I finally got it. The other one was License test 7 that I struggled with.
Very entartainingly cut and edited. I enjoyed it a lot! :) Your saves are generally very impressive, but I liked the one @ 04:40 the most.
Makes you wonder just how in the hell it is possible that people are beating the gold time by over 6 seconds when the car is that much of a handful to barely attain gold time.
Really really nice work! Congrats! I’m only at S2 which begins today! I don’t have a wheel and thankfully their assists for the controllers help significantly but it’s still just as tedious and takes several several several attempts and tweaking for the best configuration. Good luck to all.

Glad to see I’m not the only one getting owned on this test !! Congrats on getting gold I’ve only been playing gt7 for a week and so far I’ve only gone around 1 complete lap and didn’t even get bronze 👍🏾

This was incredibly hard... Until I turned on counter steer assist and ASM, then I did it on my 2nd try

I can not say how much this test annoyed me. But, eventually I managed a 2.24.001 2 days ago on a controller of all things. Nice work.

People who think Mission 34 in Gran Turismo 4 is hard have no idea what's in store for them with this test.
Only managed to squeeze out a gold, just. Never felt more proud in my life.
I agree, I’ve played and got gold on every single gran Turismo license in every game….I’m still stuck on this one. I’m a whole 2.6 seconds off gold (I got the silver though).
I cant Express how happy I am that GT7 brought some real difficulty to some of the license challenges, particularly this one. It really does make completing them so rewarding and satisfying. Congrats on completing it!
You got this mate! Gentle throttle application, turn more in the mid speed corners, build confidence and brake kn the correct places and you will get it. Dont suddenly release the throttle into eau rouge or blanchimont, the car will likely immediately oversteer and avoid all the wet patches.
I appreciate the difficulty, i dont appreciate it's only this one with a massive spike in difficulty

While this game can be truly painful at times, it also gives me the same joy i had in small victories in racing games as a kid and it gives me feelings that most games today could never even get close to creating, not without tons of frustration of course.
I'm not a good racer, but the Music Rally for the Shelby Cobra was quite difficult.
I put in over 22 hours to get this. When I see this track now it makes me want to vomit.
I switched on the racing line assist, and it shows you the dry path to follow, 99% of the time its dry
B10 was a doorstop for me, spent hours on it
To me this wasn't as hard as S-7 with the Super Formula on Laguna Seca which took me 45 mins to complete vs S-10 which took me 28 mins, still golding the S license is no joke
5 hours later after I have to redo it because game crashed and didn't save.

@@chadgrov I use controller. Gad the old logitech gave it away, got the newer g27 gave that to me brother. I don't early want the 29 I rather pla controller now till I can afford a proper wheel. However to answer your question I use controller
S-7 was so fun I got gold on my 5th try I heard they use to have nitrous on it too before the update 1.07 must of been nice but S-10? Took me 2 1/2 hrs to get gold
Loooooool after watching half of this I realized the best thing about using a wheel setup like yours is its much harder to throw it at the TV in those split second rage moments we all have 🤣🤣 " Insert hold my beer comment "

I feel the pain watching this video. I lost count of how many times I tried it. Finally got through it with a bronze. Last night I completed menu 39 and the WTC championship with silver, driving the Zonda. Had so much fun with this game. :)
To Gold this test on a wheel with assists off you need a mind in a quantum superposition of “send it!”, and “I’m terrified and want my mommy”. There is no other way.

These tests definitely get test your patience I finally got my international a license now working on these super licenses

I got all golds and finished yesterday getting the trophy achievement. We got the exact same time on that final test haha

@@unleasheddrivers1281 thanks you too lol! Took me about 6 hours to get the gold on the final exam. The videos looked easy but I didn’t realize it was in wet conditions starting it. It was brutal and terrifying at high speeds lol
This was infuriating. When I finally completed it (under 2:40, bronze only), I had been trying for ages to improve my 2:43 score which then annoyingly became 2:40.183.... just over. Even completing a clean lap without spinning out is hard, never mind beating your slightly over time.
This one took me longer than I care to admit but when I finally done it the relief was overwhelming 😂
It's cathartic to watch this legend struggle 😂
Let me paint you a scenario:
1. I havent touched racing games in 15 years
2. When I did play, I played with a controller...
3. I have never raced on this track. I know it from watching racing, but have 0 laps on it.
4. I decided to try GT7 but, I was going to start racing with a wheel+pedals.
I am not overexaggerating here, 5 hours of grinding! 5 hours!!!!!! But I got the Gold at the end. First 2 hours was just getting the hang of the track. Then the next 2 hours were figuring out how to use the wheel and pedals (I thought I figured it out having not struggled with any of the previous license tests). And then the last hour was about finding the lap. This. Was. Insane.
I have had the game for 6 days and achieved all the licences S-10 is all about control and finding the perfect line try to add power were you can every 10th of a second counts
I've put in around 14 hours on this one and the best I can get is 6 hundredths of a second off. It's driving me insane. Once it's done I'll never go back to it. The next previous longest took me about 1hr and 20.
This race on gold was the last thing I needed for platinum trophy...was also a nightmare for me :D ...it took like 100 tries, but the platinum is at home for a while already ;)
the hardest track for sure.. I am still working on it.. the most frustrating part is the last long straight ..
my favorite part was where i just let off the gas and hit the wet and did a 360, glad I'm not the only one that struggled here
I haven’t finished the s10 yet and I was trying to do it 3 hours straight.
It's frustrating because EVERY OTHER test was a relatively easy gold. And S-10 is just a flat out nightmare. Having got gold in all the others I don't think i can complete this one, the difficulty is triple that of any of the others.

I've spent an hour and five minutes trying to complete this, but I did it. I stayed away from the curbs and the wet areas, and be gentle on the throttle. I got 2:25.822.

I can't get by the dirt track or the open wheel in California. Just started using a wheel my wrists are sore. lol
S4 /5 anyway, the one with the supra was the hardest for me. the last few licences i did in a day but the toyota one costed me a month

Ive got all god in every S license except this one so far. Havent gave it a ton of attempts yet. But sheeesh its hard.
I got this one on the 3rd try but the super formula and Laguna seca took probably 50 attempts it was hard

Those markers might be more detrimental than helpful. Some of the dry portions of the track are not in the racing line, so some of the turns need to be taken off line. But the yellow markers hint the ideal line for a completely dry track.
Yeah I made sure to turn them off after I finished my opening livestream. They were quite annoying
Hi Nice final lap man, Do you find that the physics over the limit in both wet and dry is very exaggerated? I'm in 5th gear on the banked corner in high speed ring and the car is still spinning on like half throttle and very little steering unput? It's extremely unrealistic in my opinion.. Playing with a wheel and I've never ever experienced this in any other sims
I had the same kind of experience on a high speed ring license test, it was very strange. Most cars are extremely sensitive and easy to get sideways from my experience. I feel its unrealistically slippery but I'm slowly getting used to it

Goodluck when it comes to your license tests! Traction control will be the saviour of this painful issue if you need it
Yes I had a Corvette breaking traction at over 300kmh on Daytona which was a bit dumb. At that speed you should be under steering like crazy
I was trying to do this for 3 hours in a row and didn’t complete the s10 final exam yet. I use a wheel (logitech g29) ITS JUST WAY TO HARD.
This made me want to throw my body out of the 3 story apartment i live in...but when i conquered it i lost my shit

I got the silver….but still a whole TWO seconds off
When I was 2 seconds off, I tried to improve my first corner and eau rouge/raidillon as much as I can so I dont have to push AS hard on the rest of the lap. However I just started building more confidence on the rest of the lap by braking just a bit later for each turn and turning a little more.

Try avoiding the puddles it’ll keep from making the car jerk like that
I don't understand how to do that last bit, I let of the throttle but it just immediately spins everywhere
The fast left turn section? Keep on the dry line as much as you can, as soon as you touch the wet part or kerb.. it's over. Slow down a little earlier and hold the throttle at least around 10% throughout the turn because it seems that when you completely release the throttle, its easier to spin
Absolute nightmare it took me ten tries to get one lap in it took another ten tries to beat the ghost car 😅🤣😅🤣

You don't have to beat the time trial to get the ghost car just complete it take your time don't try to win it yet just complete bit to get the ghost car then you will have a reference to race against 👍
@boyhoodwonder86 😀🤞Many, Many, Many...........THANKS. Counter-steer did the trick, I was able to hit the kerbs on Eau Rouge SO HARD that I got the 1.8 sec I needed, plus I gat the tail controlled on Blanchimont in 4th with a lift only ! Counter-steer Off 2:27.88, Counter-steer On 25, 2:25.7
I am using a Hand Controller and have tried it HUNDREDS of times over MANY hours and the best I have gotten is 2+ sec's off from getting a Bronze!!!! 😪 I think I'm going to have to get a Wheel Setup just so I can get my Super Licence!!!

It took me 4 hours to get this one gold last night… 2:25.524. I went to bed right after I got it done lol.
its just the middle thats dry and stick to the curbs on corners ,but not on them ,check out mine i managed a gold also
2.26 in the wet on this track is fast. Rule1 on a wet track avoid the curbs
Yes absolutely avoid wet kerbs in real life, ACC and GT7. Most other sims dont have slippery wet kerbs but I cant speak for all. I'm really impressed by GT7s wet road physics, particularly the racing line being extra slippery.
I've only just finished this test now and Holy shit it took me ages but I managed a 2.24.752 so I'm happy as with that

Admittedly here the car was a bit overkill with its lack of stability but it would still be insane to drive for real, not easy at all and youd have to be so brave to drive in these kind of conditions.

These were super easy. With a controller... what I am battling with is getting gold with Moby Dick's The Pass.
This one is so frustrating, i stil havent even got bronze
You should try some of these fuel economy and pass missions in the game...
I just completed all the missions yesterday, the endurance ones were really difficult!
@@unleasheddrivers1281 Yep, those as well. Am driving my first one RIGHT NOW on Tsukuba in the rain, and trying different cars. NO chance in the Mitsu GTO and NSX R '92, or any RWD car lol. Not paying 450K for an R34, so going for a R35 I guess :p
Which car did you use there?
Is that the 30 lap race at tsukuba? I used a gr.4 car (supra) and just restricted it to meet PP requirements (and used the required tires). It has great fuel economy compared to other cars I was trying and it handled a lot nicer to me too. Just make sure that when the rain comes, use the outsides of the track for better grip. The racing line is death.
@@unleasheddrivers1281 Interesting. I JUST did it with a R35 stock on SH tyres and most of the race on fuel saving mode 6. The last 5 laps pedal to the metal with fresh tyres and on attack mode (mode 1). Went over the line at 0.1 fuel left. :D

I think you should look at the demonstration. Seeing that sentence a bunch was infuriating, like yeah I know what I'm supposed to do, get off my back. Golded it though, took an embarrassingly long time.

So having played this and gold myself.. you're going through your touble section too fast. That's the issue. You need to let go of gas and brake a tiny bit there. It's not necessary at all to fly through it perfectly.

Finally folded all licenses only 3 trophy's for the platinum but need about 30m not enough money in the game or should I say might take weeks to grind I'm not doing that

Dont use all race helps. Its the Problem with the slide on the curbs
i am on controller..i know should put some throttle in order to keep the car out from spin..but it just too hard..i am either too hard or too soft😂i can barely finish the lap..fail on time attack..
Have you tried using some traction control? To me it sounds like itll be difficult to do this test with a controller because you cant feel the car very well.
My personal advice is to try do the first turn and eau rouge the best you can so that you can relax a bit more for the rest of the lap. Make sure to keep off of all the wet parts of the track. Keep on that dry line. And for eau rouge and blancimont (the fast left turns before the final turn) I would suggest not to suddenly release the throttle because that encourages the car to spin out. Slowly release the throttle in these places or maybe even keep 10% throttle on instead of fully lifting for blanchimont but it will take a lot of practice. You can do this mate
what a reminder..i have forgotten the traction control..will try and see if it works..what traction control are you using?

I used 0 traction control here but I have a alot of experience with wheel and pedals. I would suggest start with 1 and increase it if you are struggling with that. I believe their is also a stability assist setting if you need extra help but it may slow you down
