Agreed. Something he should of mentioned and quite important was that you can no longer sell your cars for credits unlike in previous gran turismo, that came as an unwelcome surprise to me!
So the game doesn't tell you that you use credits to buy stuff in the game?? Great advice, I don't know how I would have figured that out without your video.
The first thing the game doesn’t tell you apparently is that there are missions and tutorials to get you used to the game. It’s totally not like the tutorial is mandatory.

I know...Im sorry...I was trolling a bit...I turned off everything, I think...I chose the expert difficulty at least... you're right, it's fun having the challenge and more realistic on expert difficulty... One thing I can't stand is those green driving lanes and yellow and red lines...it breaks the total immersion of driving because you end up staring at a line the whole time
Omg you taught me so much more than I even thought of. I was getting a little discouraged about continuing on playing. But this awesome video is gonna keep me afloat for a while. Thanks for sharing, great vid.

#1 thing for this game, if you're not playing with a wheel on ps5. The motion controlled steering should be your default. It works so good at turning a controller into a wheel.
@@hectoraguirre98 I've tried it too and to my surprise it works really well, actually I will say its spot on, you actually feel in control, im glad igave the motion control a chance since is the next best thing to a stering wheel.

The roulette system is totally rigged in this game. 99% of the time you get the lowest amount available. It’s a far cry from the rewards system in forza.
No mention of how used car prices change from day to day? There's a risk to buying where you may pay more or if you wait too long, you may miss getting the car at a lower price. Kind of a big deal if you're trying to get the most bang for your buck
Awesome...thanks for the review. I'm getting pulled back in. Playing games w my son are some of my best memories. Sega Golf, where he just liked filling in the score cards w/ Joker, Riddler, etc...then Nintendo Mario, then PS...and GT was the only game in which i was better than him. "Dad, can you win this race for me, so i can get this car"? Wonderful times. Of course, I had the logitech steering wheel, and he still used the reg controller. Shoot forward to high school then college, he's all into online games, newest PS....he eventually moves to the west coast, and leaves behind his PS3 and GT 4. I get back into it, get a new steering wheel and spend hours playing alone, and i love it. Fast forward to today, my son works for RIot Games in LA and just sent me a pic of his new set up (which of course started me on the youtube search that let me here)...he has GT 7, a Fanatec GT wheel/ pedal set up, and a Next Level cockpit. He's turning 30 yrs old, and I'm 59 and now I have to get a new PS for GT 7....won't fly well w/ mom...lol. Til then, I'm just watching the reviews 8)
I had so many amazing moments in this game already. I can say this game really feels like racing and if you don't know racing physics you'll never get gold.
Many wrong facts... the Second hand Dealer is not "Cheaper" cars, is cars that you can't buy new anymore and in general they're more expensive than brand new cars...
That's incorrect, as the used car dealership does indeed sell cars that can be bought brand new. The three cars you get to pick at the start of the game, for example, can be bought brand new.
Honestly everything about this game seems amazing apart from the car maintenance, there’s a certain point where you trade off fun for realism, the car maintenance is beyond that point
In my 20 hours of gameplay so far. I noticed if you buy a used car, one that you can also acquire by winning a café challenge. That challenge becomes marked as complete, just by buying that car. So don't buy any used cars unless you see something rare and have money for it.
I'm new to GT. I'm glad I choose this 1 to start with. I always played Need for Speed. But I wasn't aware there were racing games this real. And that there was a difference between arcade racing and Sim. Since I play racing games so much I started it on hard. I don't like to finish games quickly. What's the point. But if I have to race a race 100 times I'll do it to get better so this is right up my alley. I can't stop playing this game. And I only played NFS to compare. You can't even compare the two games one is a cartoon and the other is realistic as it gets.
it doesn't tell you that microtransaction will go live after the reviews are out and it will be patched to make earning in game credits harder to force you towards the microtransactions.
“Love of cars…” What a joke. If they loved cars they would include modern legends like the 911 turbo S, Ferrari Roma, McLaren P1, M5 CS, RS 6 etc. Well I guess the available Prius is a legend nowadays. The only modern cars are concepts which coincidently all cost 1 million+ (knock knock micro transactions). After 25 hrs you end up with 45 cars, of which 90 % are totally unappealing. Cmon who is happy about winning a Honda Civic or a VW Polo.
I’m surprised no one’s talking about motion controls. This is my first GT game and I didn’t know how to feel about motion controls due to me being horrible at Mario Kart motion controls but I gave it a go and I think it’s better than driving with a joystick like I have for games like Forza. I came in first a lot of times and idk if it’s as accurate on PS4 controllers but on PS5 controllers they work really well and having adaptive triggers and haptic feedback really add in that extra immersion.
@@kevinhothebeano2911 it’s the first game I’ve played where the motion controls feels like it’s done right. I’ve never used an actual wheel because I have no room for it so having motion controls and having it work is amazing. Definitely couldn’t see myself using a joystick ever again

Soooo.... I reached level 30 collector level. Got my Super license and got to the 34th cafe book (Because I suck at dirt tracks I can't finish it). Have 79 cars and have run out of stuff to do that's worth doing. I have won at least 25 Sport mode Daily races so I feel I am in a good position to comment on this game. This is not a numbered series Gran Turismo!!!! There is no B spec. There is NO career. Credits/money are way too hard to come by imo. IMO GT7 sucks.
Finally someone not cheering this game. The game feels dead and like a grind fest. The choice of cars is appealing, hard to find anything European build after 2018. A disgrace.
Sure the singleplayer just feels like u can just complete in 3-5 days. My negativ points i see on this game are (remember i played every GT and im quite good at the game so just my opinion on the game): License test are way to easy same goes for Missions the only thing where i had problems was drifting but i always hated that. Grinding Credits is in like almost every GT game kinda slow + now that u cant even sell cars its even slower. The "roulette" thing feels like a fist into ur face (i now opened about 30 or more tickets) mostly i get the worst thing on it wich is basically a low amount of Credits also i never got a single car out of it. The Animations on the GT Car where u can change oil, wash ur car are in my opinion a downgrade from previous games that had the GT Car in it (example GT4 the ppl actually cleaned ur car and not just a "window" ?!) The Multiplayer aspect is aswell a downgrade u cant save ur lobbys, u cant change anything in it when u opened one. I hope that they will add some more content for the Singleplayer atm it just feels like GT Sport with improved physics.
lol - 'Just ignore the microtransactions' - what is it with the fanbase accepting this shit? The game progression has been tuned to direct people towards the MT's. They're also the only reason for the always-online requirement. This is a game that costs £10 - £15 more than normal releases & that has an F2P microtransaction model straight from any mobile game, where the single-player is locked behind an always-online requirement and the multiplayer - arguably the biggest draw - requires a separate subscription. If this were any other game, the developers would be hammered into the ground by the negative press. The fact that all these review outlets are making excuses for this shit - if they address it at all - is willfully misleading at best.
It seems like the progression is about the same as it was in GTS and it wasn't that hard to get credits there so shouldn't really be an issue in GT7 either.
@@Maenfy The fact is that the established game design has been changed specifically to push MT's, however gently - though I wouldn't call forcing an always-online requirement on users 'gentle'. It's not acceptable in what is an already significantly overpriced AAA game from a prestigious first-party developer.
Amazing single player, wish there was more content tho.. I finished it in less than a week. Multiplayer on the other hand gets a 1 star from me; you cant save the lobbies you create like in gt sport, you cant kick out trolls from your lobby, you cant change lobby settings after you’ve created it, and im not taking into account the lag and glitches that happen every so often. P.S. If you love drifting on the wheel in gt sport, stay on gt sport
graphics is like motorsport 5. dont even fucking spit with your sony toxic waste on me. this game feels good, has nice vibe but graphis and physics are a joke
@@ImotekhtheStormlord-tx2it I’m guessing you’re basing this off TH-cam videos? Your first and most important mistake. Can’t just modern games based on TH-cam graphics wise.
I love what you say about the microtransactions. None of us really "like" them, but they ARE there for people to save TIME. A game like this can't really offer a "pay to win" formula, winning depends on your driving skill, full stop. But you either pay for those credits with real money, or pay for them with time. That's why, at least in this instance, I don't condemn the microtransactions. Some people are just gonna want to get their favorite cars as quickly as possible. That's fine. Time is a currency you don't get back. Also, just as a pointer; In "sport" mode, there's a driver rating and a SAFETY rating, not sponsorship rating. Unless you're getting paid to do daily challenges by McDonald's or Matco Tools or something.
It sums up to be a decent game with great graphics but if you don’t use real money to buy shit in game your not gonna have fun and if you don’t have the $1000 steering wheel your not having that much fun either
Game feels and looks great. HOWEVER!!! The gift packages need to be removed immediately ! Just give us flat rewards on a tripple A price point game. They even call it a roulette gift with a picture of a roulette table... OR prove it's an equal 1/5 20% chance for all prize types! I'm not opposed to gambling and I rarely get 'outraged' but this is not on and the game should be stripped of it's 'G' rating and placed as an 'MA' game. You need to be 18-21 to go to a casino to play roulette. I cant believe they would be so blatant to actually show a roulette table image. Taking the piss!!! Ok rant over sorry.

So one thing i want to say. You actually can remove a Wide body, for that go into tuning and i think its on the last tab where u can change ur Engine and Chassis (costs like 100-150k) On the Race side it (sure im on the highest difficulty there for i cant rly help that much) could be the problem that u choose a car with to less PP. So for the Braking if this is your first GT they improved Physics, as example in GT Sport u could Brake while also being able to steer without problems but now u need to brake in a straight line with little to no steering input thats why there is ketchup on ur track xD (also if u want to get better turn off all Assists except ABS, sure its a pain for the first couple of races but u will get better) For the PP lvl there is actually a recommended PP before u start every race, and while choosing the car u can also sort it after PP lvl. Sure the singleplayer lacks massive amount of content in my opinion just not enough to do for a long time, remember the old days with GT4 where u had a long way with idk how many different championships and cups. Hope that helped a bit.
I don’t know if it’s just me but I ended up getting a Bugatti and I can’t get anything in the tuning shop for it besides tires and I can’t even customize it besides painting it.
HEY FELLAS, ADDING A WING BODYKITS AND RIMS IS NOT TUNING. BUY AFTERMARKET PARTS FOR HANDLING, ENGINE PARTS FOR POWER. How is nobody talking about how its literally the same fucking game as gt6 only with a bunch of extra fluff. There no fucking new cars. Like how did they not even put a mid engine Corvette in the games??? Never should have bought this game.
I how this guy didn't go into detail about the Performance Points. One race had PP at 350.00, I add soft sport tires and a new computer chip, which put me at 350.79. I couldn't race because of the .79. The PP system is a load of bs.
Look, despite GT’s appeal, especially as a long term fan who has set dozens upon dozens of top 10 leaderboard times in the TT section of GT Sport, I refuse to give PD any more of my real, hard earned money as a way to bypass the the amount of time it will take to fully tune car after car. My time is valuable, and while I make a good living as somebody in their late twenties, I’m still not about to sacrifice what little disposable time or hard-earned money that I have into either grinding for a fully customizable transmission or suspension kit or on micro transactions to save myself the headache. GT Sport was where it’s at, and Kaz screwed up big time by becoming yet another soul-sucking corporate entity in the sim world. I’ll keep spending my money on tires, track days, and aftermarket parts for my S2K.
Tips for all new drivers to. Drive on either bump, roof, or cock pit. So you can feel and see when to hit proper apexes going in and out of turns. It’s better than driving behind the vehicle. Also to not run into the vehicle in front or off the track. You will be heavily penalized if you do.
So pretty much, ⭐⭐⭐ and lower are guaranteed to spit out the smallest reward possible. Which is almost always 2,000 credits. It's cool. I still love the game. 🥴
WARNING!!! DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT WASTE your money on this game I have never been so disappointed in a racing game!!! And I mean never. The game just feels so and is just dry and reused content, feels like the same engine as the last but even worse. If u are trying to have fun. You wont find it on this game unless your prepared to pay £200+ on a steering wheel but not only that. Even on maximum sensitivity the steering is really poor and very slow. Literally cant go fast round a corner without going off the track. And I couldn't get gold at all on the first mission and I would say I'm very good at racing games. I've been playing them for 15 years. So Clearly made for the expensive wheel. My mate was watching me I was trying as hard as I could to get gold and just could with nearly perfect corners each time which is pretty much impossible to get the balance. I'm actually furious about it because the advert sold a different game. Please dont make the same mistake I made if on controller and even the preorder cars dont keep up on the straights. Buying a few parts is fine, but I am clueless on tuning and don't want to deal with it, hopefully I can hang online or the harder difficulties without it. This is my first Gran Turismo game - so far really enjoying it and I usually only play arcade racers, but ready for a change and sick of open world arcade racers with crap multiplayer.
It’s not hard I learned on f1 just by using other peoples set ups at first to learn what each set up did to the feeling of the car and then you’ll slowly understand how suspension geometry and brake bias and differential lock affect the car. It’s definitely something you have to practice.
I'm sure there are guides on TH-cam for tuning in racing games. I think the only terminology that is different in Gran Turismo is the suspension "neutral frequency." Earlier GT games and other racing games use the term spring rate for this, so keep that in mind when you look up tuning guides. Also, your driving style plays a big role in tuning, especially with suspension alignment; so keep that in mind as well. Or if you want to learn by doing things yourself, try practicing on one track with one car and changing one thing at a time and seeing how that affects the car's handling. This takes way longer, but you'll gain a better appreciation of tuning this way. This is what I did back in the first Gran Turismo as a kid. haha
You can't find used cars dealership cars in brand central and Legend cars store. Which means each car is available in 1 of the 3 places. They will not appear in 2 or 3 places or store.
I am so dissapointed with the RWD Physics. I havent seen such frustrating behaviour of cars in any game before. Its so unreal how they lose the rear all the time. Its like driving on ice and snow or having the worst possible tyres at 0°C on a dirty Track. I am Drifting and Racing a Mustang since 2013 and if i compare it with GT7 its absolute nonsense. With slightest steering input the cars just lose their rears. With just maintaining throttle during fast curves where in reality i can accelerate or in ovals they lose it. This is not realistic but completely broken. Have they even testet this and who ever programmed it has this person ever driven a 400+hp RWD car on a Track? I hoped it would be more like back in GT5 but no they made it even worse than it was in GT Sport and GT6. Good examples are IB-1 and IB-3 license tests. I had to ragequit those earlier. In IB-3 i realized that cars no matter how little steering input and how fast the corner, With throttle they oversteer without they understeer. While in reality when driving a long corner if i slowly add throttle the car will accelerate and if i get to fast it will start sliding straight over the front tires but never lose the rear. It only loses it with harsh steering inputs or throttle input. Man i wasnt so frustrated for a long while. If they dont drastically change this i dont know.
I couldn't agree more. GT7 so far, hmm. The rear end wants to oversteer even if you hit the Apex nice and smooth, but you're supposedly carrying too much speed and the rear end just goes without accelerating. Take that first Mission challenge for example with the 180sx, it can't carry any speed if you take the corner as per the Apex (even if you're super smoooth), instead you have to brake pretty hard on the inside of the corner. Next example is the GR Supra RZ '19. Sooo touchy on the throttle. I upgraded the tires and the shocks and I can at least get around Suzuka now. But again it seems very twitchy and it will punish you a lot more on the rear end than GTS if you're steering input is anything less than perfect. Edit: Just drove the same car in GT Sport. Day and night difference, if the rear end does break loose, it can be brought back in gracefully. But the main difference is the rear end isn't snapping out anywhere near the degree from just the turn in (no harsh accel) compared to GT7.
@@linds12341234 But see thats the thing in my real life experience a RWD car if not setup in a completely stupid way will just slide over front tires if i carry to much speed into a turn. It wont ose the rear it will lose the front. The model in GT7 is wrong. And most modern Cars are setup in a way that its always the frontwheels to lose grip first for more safety.

The difficulty of licence missions a9 and a10. A9 is hard but a10…still can’t get gold after 3 hours. Best time was 29.020 on my 3rd attempt. Why game, WHY!?
If you go onto assist settings and change the countersteering assistance to weak or off, you have a much easier time of making the hairpin turns for both missions as the car turns more. I was sitting on a9 for a while and after the change I got it the first time round.

#1 thing for this game, if you're not playing with a wheel on ps5. The motion controlled steering should be your default. It works so good at turning a controller into a wheel.

Is it really that good? I just use the analog but if it makes such a difference ill give it a try.
@@hectoraguirre98 I've tried it too and to my surprise it works really well, actually I will say its spot on, you actually feel in control, im glad igave the motion control a chance since is the next best thing to a stering wheel.

Got this for my ps5 on Friday & I am in awe every single time I play it. Best racing game ever
It's honestly an amazing experience and a way cheaper alternative than buying a steering wheel. I wish more people promoted it
@@kevinhothebeano2911 it’s the first game I’ve played where the motion controls feels like it’s done right.

My negativ points i see on this game are (remember i played every GT and im quite good at the game so just my opinion on the game):
License test are way to easy same goes for Missions the only thing where i had problems was drifting but i always hated that.
The Animations on the GT Car where u can change oil, wash ur car are in my opinion a downgrade from previous games that had the GT Car in it (example GT4 the ppl actually cleaned ur car and not just a "window" ?!)
The Multiplayer aspect is aswell a downgrade u cant save ur lobbys, u cant change anything in it when u opened one.
I hope that they will add some more content for the Singleplayer atm it just feels like GT Sport with improved physics.
I don’t have the game JUST yet but I’m SUPER excited to get it and this video definitely helped me a TON!

lol - 'Just ignore the microtransactions' - what is it with the fanbase accepting this shit?

Look on the bright side, it doesn't have anything that's pay to win. Cars are divided into classes after all.
It sums up to be a decent game with great graphics but if you don’t use real money to buy shit in game your not gonna have fun and if you don’t have the $1000 steering wheel your not having that much fun either

So one thing i want to say.
You actually can remove a Wide body, for that go into tuning and i think its on the last tab where u can change ur Engine and Chassis (costs like 100-150k)
On the Race side it (sure im on the highest difficulty there for i cant rly help that much) could be the problem that u choose a car with to less PP.
So for the Braking if this is your first GT they improved Physics, as example in GT Sport u could Brake while also being able to steer without problems but now u need to brake in a straight line with little to no steering input thats why there is ketchup on ur track xD (also if u want to get better turn off all Assists except ABS, sure its a pain for the first couple of races but u will get better)
For the PP lvl there is actually a recommended PP before u start every race, and while choosing the car u can also sort it after PP lvl.
Sure the singleplayer lacks massive amount of content in my opinion just not enough to do for a long time, remember the old days with GT4 where u had a long way with idk how many different championships and cups.
Hope that helped a bit.

Clueless for now but if you apply yourself and learn you won’t be clueless for long 🙌🏾
It’s not hard I learned on f1 just by using other peoples set ups at first to learn what each set up did to the feeling of the car and then you’ll slowly understand how suspension geometry and brake bias and differential lock affect the car.
This is what I did back in the first Gran Turismo as a kid. haha
Uhhhh... how about YOU CAN'T PLAY 99% of the game of you're not online. That's something the game doesn't tell you.
As a beginner, i would not begin with the missions but with driving school. Without a doubt

@@phoenixsui yea the physics GT7 is doing for RWD cars is just odd. I'm close to trying out the IB-1 license, but A-7 was pretty frustrating to get gold on.
@@linds12341234 i needed maybe 1,5h for the last one with the supra. That piece o f s... is undrivable in GT7
@@phoenixsui I'm on the last A license at the moment with the Supra. God it's terrible. Silver at the moment but I'll probably be matching that 1.5hrs effort to get gold
They should let us sell cars
Gran Turismo: always in perfect condition-auto museum-simulator.
in easy difficulty i sometimes do some 8 or 3rd position so increasing difficulty is a strict NO for newcomers, the easy difficulty have nothing from easy, and even AI is crashing in your rear lol
@@bruhninho1464 Did that and it worked!
Just gold to get on ia10 and all of S...though I think I'm gonna give up there o.O
Dude called Sportsmanship Rating the Sponsor rating lol
I’ve been following what the cafe tells me so far
Huge for me was setting the ghost car out in front.
Doesn't tell you? It specifically tells you all this, and much more. I want my 8 minuites back...
This game is full of microtransactions
Ok, for #1, going to the cafe is the only thing you CAN do at the beginning of the game. How is that a tip?
Does it have B Spec?
