This is the first comment I have ever made to a TH-cam video so here goes. Thank you for this informative video. I am restoring a 1973 CJ5 and was wondering about placement of the steering stabilizer and now I know thanks to your video. I think I will place mine where it will not be lower than the axle though. What I don't understand is why there are so many comments on here that seem to be people who ONLY want to tell you what they think you are doing wrong. I watched and learned. Again thank you for a very informative video. If you only want to gripe about what the guys are doing in the video, keep it to yourself.

Just got a 4” SkyJacker lift with leaf springs and after a week a recognized loosing a lot of lift/height. Can I adjust to get back to what the installed 4” looked like when lift got installed?

nice video, but i don't get why you lowered the steering stabilizer..... better chance of it getting damaged off road, not to mention it was extra work removing the old brackets that where perfectly fine

Is a drop pitman arm necessary for a 2 inch lift?

Don't forget to grease or silicone lube the bushings or you'll be doing the install twice.

In the previous video they were tearing this jeep down for a resto, now they are installing a lift kit on a dirty rusty frame. must be for demonstration purposes only.

Couple things I saw wrong... The steering stabilizer should have been positioned above the lowest metal part of the axle, not being unprotected. Also, it was dangerous to use chrome sockets with an impact, they are likely to break and shatter. Lastly, you said you needed a "four wheel alignment" when in fact it is not possible on this vehicle due to the solid rear axle. There is no way to adjust the rear wheels in alignment.

It seems to me you’re advertising for craftsman brand. I don’t need to know what brand of tools you’re using just the tool type.

One problem, they are not using impact sockets.
