Ragnarok establishes that while Thor has been away... Loki was not protecting the Nine Realms. In other words just about at the time that Strange was making his breakthroughs with teleportation. @@notaworldpeaceafterall6476 apparently you haven't heard of what's known as a *"pre destined paradox."* Something that wasn't explained in the movie. In short, it means that you were actually meant to go backward in time to cause the events timeline that you're in. Let alone, Bruce was only partially correct. The Ancient One said that *_"the Infinity Stones create what you experience as the flow of time."_* And that it was REMOVING an *Infinity Stone* that creates alternate timelines. It's only because they're able to use quantum mechanics that they can get back to their own timeline/reality rather than *direct time travel* in which case it *_would_* be like Back to the Future, continuing on into a timeline where any of the stones would have been missing from whence it was taken to when it would arrive. Lastly, either the movie or The Avengers got it partially wrong about Back to the Future. Dr. Brown did explain in the second movie that when old Biff traveled back in time and change the events he created an alternate timeline. They failed to distinguish between time-travel utilizing quantum mechanics, versus time-travel utilizing a direct method.

Without a leader defending the Cosmos, Thanos was able to take what he wanted because Asgard wasnt defending the 9 realms all thanks to Loki. That’s what I would have assumed. The rat would’ve been in a lot of the others too, but it was the future where he hand to hand over the stone to ensure Tony wasn’t killed in Infinity War so that he could be there for what he needed to do in Endgame that was the detail of importance

Colson's death itself wasn't fake... they brought him back in Agents of Shield. But Fury took the cards from the locker and got some of Colson's blood and used those to motivate the avengers.
I don’t get the hate on Hawkeye in the avengers or his being mind controlled in the plot. He had never faced someone like Loki, most earthlings hadn’t. And it would make sense for Loki to see Hawkeye’s usefulness and want him controlled. Plus it was an infinity stone that took him over.
Except that cap didn't just sit back while all those bad things happened. his time with Peggy was obviously spent in an alternate timeline and he returned to his home timeline after the events of endgame. This is obvious by the fact that cap was able to give Sam and intact shield. Caps original shield was destroyed by Thanos. The only way he could have gotten another shield would be in an alternate reality. Therefore cap obviously took Peggy's advice that "sometimes the best you can do is to start over" and created a timeline where everyone got their happy ending.
Personally I find Evenfeline Lily to be hard to look at, so yes, if she's in the foreground my eyes would wander over to the rest of the frame to see that duck. It's no accident that Antman and the Wasp is the closest thing to a flop that the MCU has.. Ant Man by himself? Charming, funny, endearing. Add in Evangeline Lily as the Wasp? 1:51 who said that he didn't do anything? He could have done all the things, preventing wars and 9/11. But all of that wouldn't matter when he cames back to the original timeline, erasing his timeline with Peggy. You can't change the past, just the future from the time you are in. That's why they couldn't prevent Thanos from snapping, but still get everyone back a few years later. The internet has it all figured out by now.
The alternate time line Steve lived in could have been erased but we could also look at it with the idea of the multiverse in play. Think of the Quantum realm as a bride between realities.
I feel like Captain America went back to his past as his future version so there was already someone fighting while the future Cap was living out his life with Peggy
This makes the most sense, especially given what we saw with Future Cap fighting 2012 Cap and the Nebula offing Nebula scene. He didn’t just disappear from the past timeline.
14:03- from the timeline as I understand it, asgard was basically Undefended, and not defending the other 9 realms. Wasn’t Loki impersonating Odin, having shipped Odin off to earth for retirement, and Thor running around doing his own thing, playing with trying to find infinity stones and stop Ragnarok.
point 2 is incorrect, in the movie they told us already that you never change the timeline when you go back in time. that is why all the stones where stolen back in time and also brought back to the same time afterwards when everything was "fixed" and they won from thanos

I've been a nerd all my life,I never was interested in comic books, because even as a child I found them silly ( cue the ton of hate about to fall upon me ) I was always a science nerd and even as a kid I watched hard sci/fi movies, the Marvel movies are great for me as 90% of what I hated about the cartoons was removed,"Marvels Agents of Shield is everything I hated about the comic books, but the movies were great for me,and with everyone harping on with trying to make sense of the rules about time travel,I find hilarious when everyone is supposed to be comic book fans where logic was never in the picture with them,of all the Marvel Movies that really irked me was Ironman 3 ,Tony had 44 Ironman suits with all manner of ways to call a suit to him,yet for some reason the entire movie was wrapped around his struggling to get an unfinished prototype suit to work, when he simply could have logged onto his Stark Mainframe in a dozen different ways to call upon a working suit to come to him,so the whole seeing him trying to make do with random items he bought at a hardware store really had me well MAD
Actually I think they explained it that his suits were buried in the rubble of his Malibu home. It wasn't until the cleanup crews cleared that away at the end that he was able to access them all for the final fight. At least that's how I'm remembering it now. Its bee a while since i saw it.
What alternate timeline? He was in this one because Steve handed falcon the shield in this timeline so went back in time to this timeline not an alternative time line.
Natalie Portman didn't want to be in Marvel movies any longer, so they were forced to do that. Then Disney/Marvel threw ludicrous money in front of her and promised her character would have more agency, so she came back.
Re: Phil Colson - "Ever been to Tahiti? It's a magical place. " Over the course of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. it was revealed that Colson was brought back from the dead.
Cap’s changing of the past would have created an alternate timeline for sure, but ignoring that, they were correct about Cap’s inability to ignore the fact Bucky was being tortured and brainwashed by Hydra, but they are probably incorrect about Hyda taking over S.H.I.E.L.D. If Steve and Peggy go on to lead a typical life in the 1940s-2019, Peggy becomes a housewife and most likely never goes on to help form S.H.I.E.L.D.. Everyone knows how important Cap is to shaping the future, but forget Peggy’s role in making the Avengers happen. Not only can Steve not be in their timeline as an old man, that would all happen in a different timeline he create the minute he didn’t crash the plane and freeze himself, but in reality, Steve could never ignore all the bad things going on in the world so he could use his powers from the super soldier serum to be the new Twinkle Toes Steve Rogers, using his super endurance to win dance marathons while Hydra takes over the world, until Loki comes with his Chitauri army and conquers the new world order Hydra has made. I can’t see Steve dance the night away while other super heroes fight and die to bring him and Peggy the freedom to dance and raise a family. It’s just not in his character, which is why he was chosen for the super soldier program in the first place. The real Steve Rogers was selfless, willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good when he leaped on that grenade. It would have required Steve to be brainwashed like Bucky was in order to change what he truly is. It was really bad writing in a couple ways. It broke their “new timeline created” rule and was so far outside of Steve’s and Peggy’s character it was impossible for either to do.
What?? Indeed. Why wouldn't Cap still have crashed the plane? He didn't replace the Cap in the timeline, he went back to the time Peggy was mourning the missing Cap. If he replaced the WW2 Cap, what did he do? Murder him? More importantly, why tf would Peggy become a housewife?
Complaining that a comic book character came back to life is a bit silly when absurd resurrections is a staple of comics. Though, there should have been an end credit scene where they showed Agent Coulson being resurrected in the MCU, not just the "It's in the MCU - oh, not really" MTVU. Personally, I think Agent Hill's line about the cards not being in his coat should have been followed with "And they are working on him now" or something else to indicate that the death was quite possibly not a death onscreen, but played as a death to the Avengers to motivate them, and let the audience know the apparently fatal blow left him only mostly dead.
The timeline where Cap gets to live "happily ever after" with Peggy Carted had to be a branch timeline. That timeline may or may not have became undone when Steve returned the last Stone and came back to the time he left, we really have no idea what he did while there. His returning all of the Stones to their required places would have been required to keep the timeline he left in existance. Also, if I remember correctly, in the deleted scene Steve saw Peggy die. Even if we don't count that, I think that the date Peggy died would have been one of the things he knew before going back. From his advanced age I think it is clear that he didn't return the last stone until he lived as long a life with Peggy as he could. Also, Sharon Carter is a bit too much of a strait arrow to grow up knowing the older husband of her Aunt Peggy and go flirting with his younger version when she was placed as Steve Roger's nextdoor neighbor. She might have knowing it wasn't going to go anywhere, but how sure could she really be of that.
Best way to solve the rat issue would have been to have a fail-safe on Scott's costume that pulled him out after, say, six hours. But since the fail-safe is on HIS costume, not on the equipment outside, it's subject to timeflows from his perspective - so you still get the time skip.
Killing Wash in Serenity wasn't Joss Whedon's idea. It was Alan Tudyk's idea. During the filming. Alan had noticed that he didn't have any lines after the crash, and started making jokes about Wash had apparently been killed but the character was so unimportant that the screenwriters simply forgot to write the scene. A few weeks after that, Alan sat down with Joss and pitched this idea about actually killing the character, and discussed the consequences of that death. Joss liked the idea and they rewrote the ending.
Everyone seems to miss the biggest blooper of all. Thor is the god of thunder and lightning. He can generate lightning bolts from his body. @@JoseyWales44s He can't change anything, because he's supposed to be frozen at the time. That reminds me, shouldn't he have died of hypothermia in the ice, super serum or no super serum?
If Rogers never became Captain America, the ENTIRE MCU would have been altered and the movies as we know them would be completely different because he was the first Avenger
For number 2: Cap would know that changing any of the events would ultimately cause a massive problem with the time continuum, plus he retired to spend time with Peggy, not be drawn into more action. Also, remember Scott Lang turning into a baby? Same concept!
Because he knew Bucky would be pressured into giving up the shield by those who distrust him from his history with HYDRA. Steve had decades to think about the decision. Sam also needs more protection in battle as Bucky has his arm to use as a shield. It also reflects the choice Marvel comics had already made in having Sam replace Steve as the Captain. Hawkeye was the original choice to be the new Cap in the comics but Barton turns it down when he is confronted by his own Hawkeye replacement Kate Bishop over his reasons for becoming Cap. Hawkeye was Cap's original protege/sidekick in silver age comics.
One hour in the Quantum Realm equals a year in the real world. Janet Van Dyne was in there for about 25 years (real world time), so in the Quantum realm that was a little more than a day there.
To me, there is so many details to remember in MCU, I don't really care about these mistakes. I get the general idea of the direction of the Infinity saga. The only one I felt was disappointing was Captain America retiring. I feel they should have kept Captain America the way he was, I would want to see all of the Avengers still together for future releases.
Personally just imagining that Thanos goal was just to swoon Lady Death throughout Infinity war and Endgame, and what the dialogue/script with it would be like....it somehow feels kinda wrong or weird. The whole thing would feel kinda ODD to say the least, good thing they change it for the balance of the universe motivation.
Captain America when he stayed back in time had to let all those things happen. If he hadn't it would have caused a paradox that would have changed the entire time line.
Steve Rogers started a new and different branched-off timeline. So he probably did a lot of very cool hero stuff and for hundreds of years (Super serum, remember?) and then returned to the timeline in Endgame to hand off the shield. THAT timeline would be awesome for What If!
Indeed. Just because Steve went back to dance with Peggy, (and presumably became her husband) did not mean that he had to stay at home and wash dishes for the rest of his life. In that timeline that he created the second he popped back into Peggy's time, that Steve Rogers would indeed have been a perfectly heroic Captain America for the rest of his days until he got very old, and then at that time he used the Pym particles to pop back into the original timeline to hand off the shield. Still mystified as to how poor Falcon is going to achieve being Captain America though. Stever Rogers is Capt. America because of the Super Soldier serum, not because of the shield. Falcon is just an ordinary well built dude who has access to a suite of advanced mechanical wings and some associated weapons. He has no strength or speed that would come with the shield. Is he going to fly around with his wings AND throw the shield and be sorta a "Falcon America"? It would have made more sense for Bucky to be the new Capt, with his own bio-enhancements and that advanced super left arm.
9:00 Sitwell goes on to say that Zolo's Algorithm was designed to take your past to predict your future, which is how they knew about Doctor Strange. 13:50 before Asgard was destroyed Loki was faking being Odin, and when Thor came back to Asgard he mentions that the other worlds have divulged into chaos, so i believe Dimitri was saying 'Asgard was supposed to protect us' because Loki was only sitting on the throne eating grapes not protecting the other worlds and apparently niveldelier. and as it's been stated heaps of times that i'm sure almost everyone knows, Dr Erkenstien says to Steve pre-serum, 'stay who you are, not a perfect soldier, but a good man', now before Steve goes back to return the stones to their correct timeline, he says to Sam 'You're a good man Sam', indicating that he knows that Bucky is the perfect soldier (and so is John Walker for TFATWS fans) but Sam is a good man.

I personally think that Marvel could have had the Captain appear on the platform aged. It would have made more sense since he was returning to the original timeline to tie his loose ends. And giving closure to his fellow Avengers and friends.

9:00 Do you think that Doctor Strange's training with the Ancient One was instantaneous? There is a clear implication in the film that his training spanned several years. The incursion by Dormammu happened in 2016 when it was clearly summer in both New York and Hong Kong. That means that Sitwell mentioned Strange a mere 18 months before that event. In other words just about at the time that Strange was making his breakthroughs with teleportation. Do you really think that the largest intelligence-gathering operation in the world, that is based in the US, would not be aware of an American citizen becoming the ace student of as powerful a figure as the Ancient One? That they would not have a file on someone whose power level they can neither predict, quantify or neutralize, who is capable of instantly traveling anywhere in the world, and is in the process of destabilizing a foreign enclave of super-wizards?

That’s what I would have assumed. The rat would’ve been in a lot of the others too, but it was the future where he hand to hand over the stone to ensure Tony wasn’t killed in Infinity War so that he could be there for what he needed to do in Endgame that was the detail of importance
I never thought he needed to know about the rat and every grasshopper in the world. Just the outcome.

Love how he pretends colsons death wasn’t explained as fake in the movie. “ I thought those cards were in his locker”
I think it’s just that Hawkeye didn’t really get a chance to show his full character and allow people to fall in love with him.
It’s strange that in a scene with Evangeline Lily front and center anyone notices a duck in the background

Personally I find Evenfeline Lily to be hard to look at, so yes, if she's in the foreground my eyes would wander over to the rest of the frame to see that duck. who said that he didn't do anything? He could have done all the things, preventing wars and 9/11. But all of that wouldn't matter when he cames back to the original timeline, erasing his timeline with Peggy. You can't change the past, just the future from the time you are in. That's why they couldn't prevent Thanos from snapping, but still get everyone back a few years later.
The internet has it all figured out by now.
The alternate time line Steve lived in could have been erased but we could also look at it with the idea of the multiverse in play. Think of the Quantum realm as a bride between realities.

I would really like where you got those infos? Do you just think they would change it or are there some sources?
I feel like Captain America went back to his past as his future version so there was already someone fighting while the future Cap was living out his life with Peggy
This makes the most sense, especially given what we saw with Future Cap fighting 2012 Cap and the Nebula offing Nebula scene. He didn’t just disappear from the past timeline.
14:03- from the timeline as I understand it, asgard was basically Undefended, and not defending the other 9 realms. Wasn’t Loki impersonating Odin, having shipped Odin off to earth for retirement, and Thor running around doing his own thing, playing with trying to find infinity stones and stop Ragnarok.
point 2 is incorrect, in the movie they told us already that you never change the timeline when you go back in time. that is why all the stones where stolen back in time and also brought back to the same time afterwards when everything was "fixed" and they won from thanos
and also changing the past doesn't change the present, only create alternate timeline. this is not like back-to-the-future time concept. i dont know why until now people dont still get that?
Okay, Steve may just save bucky in his alternate timeline. And in his alternate timeline, things play out differently
What alternate timeline? He was in this one because Steve handed falcon the shield in this timeline so went back in time to this timeline not an alternative time line.

The last thing is one of the best changes the MCU made.
What
What??
CBR, Zoloff's Algorithm had the ability to predict an individual's future in detail according to the explanation given in the Winter Soilder

The point of project insight was to eliminate threats before they became threats that's why Stephen Strange was targeted before he became a scorcerer
WHY DIDN'T CAP GIVE HIS SHIELD TO BUCKY THEY HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR 90 YEARS! AND WHAT HE MET FALCON A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO!!!!!!!
In 30 years the MCU will be completely different and I’m honestly so excited
And the 5 years of quantum energy Ant Man absorbed. Should have given him almost super power.

To him it was only five hours though, as Joshua belleza said. However, you'd think it might have ramped up his powers a little at least.

The way Marvel is treating Captain Marvel now suggests they're trying to erase that abomination from existence.
