hi back, im dad
damn too slow
Hi dad, I'm dad... Wait.
Once you're a dad, it never gets old.
Got em!
🏆
Thank you for featuring my cable clips, Michael!
I was perplexed by yesterday’s download numbers and just saw a comment from the user goTVm over at Printables, who mentioned you'd posted this video.
Let me point out that not only KLAMMA, but KLIPPT as well is “tape-compatible” with the other base plate (At least in light-duty applications.) This makes once printed clips even more versatile because you can interchange them easily.
Same here! I was wondering why there was a spike in views and downloads. Thanks for featuring the Diffusion Panels. That timelapse looked amazing!
These were modeled so that the deepest point on the front would touch the back panel in vase mode, making it more rigid and stay flat, assuming a .4mm nozzle and .3mm layer height. I am curious what slicer settings could be tweaked to make that happen on his and other printers.
Always appreciated! good recommendations as usual! I love the head-rest clips and the velcro trunk brackets work fantastic!
i can confirm the broom holders are great. the design is very creep resistant (the biggest problem with load bearing 3d prints) and the 10 or so that i have printed are still working after more than a year. they also work just fine when all parts are printed at 80% scale. i use rubber bands for grip and dont mind having to replace them every few months or so when they inevitably degrade and crumble.
That gravity broom holder looks way better than the commercial one I bought and don't use because the brooms etc. always slide down over time.
I'll be printing a couple of those for sure.
Awesome! Thank you, Michael! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I will be printing the angled business card holder and the velcro trunk organizers. Thanks for another helpful video. Joel, Texas.
The Gravity Broom Holder is my favorite by far, very clever
Wow, that broom holder surprised me. And the trunk velcro was a great idea too.
I am 100% using most of these prints!!! Had you not made this video I would have never found some of these. Thank you so much!!!
Some good ones here! On point as always. Thanks again!
I've always loved watching your videos. Now that you gave my Universal Key Cover a nice review, I love them even more! Thanks!
Another great video which presents solutions for everyday nuisances or ideas for doing something better.
Congrats for another great video with many really usable items to help us daily. Cheers !
Got to love 3d printing for custom storage solutions!
FYI, I am 99% sure that the sound panels won't help at all regarding sound diffusion or absorption. The only thing I would find use for them are for aesthetic use.
Plastic isn't a good material for any acoustic purpose.
Btw I am a sound engineer so my comment is really to help you out so you don't waste filament and time with these "sound panels" 😅
I heard you could recycle with cartons as a sound proof material
@@jpeero For sound absorption, you want the sound to travel into the material and then get trapped within it until it looses all of it's energy.
So carton isn't a good material in terms of sound absorption.
Solid materials only reflect the sound and although carton is somewhat porous, it's mostly solid.
If you want to recycle materials, think of anything that's thick and porous, like foam.
A mattress does more than any amount of carton you can think of haha.
Also, thick rugs or heavy curtains help in terms of sound absorption as well.
A good and cheap material for sound treatment is Rockwool, look up "DIY sound absorption panels using Rockwool" and you can see how cheap they are to make. That's my go to budget and effective suggestion.
Yeah the author of the model notes it is for "sound diffusion", but I wasn't quite sure what the perceptual impact of that would be so despite it looking cool I didn't bother printing them.
@@coreyward sound diffusion is another application within acoustic treatment, and even tho it "looks" like it was designed for that purpose, I'm here to let you all know that the little sound diffusion it would actually achieve wouldn't really matter enough for you to spend the time and money to print them.
You would need to print them solid (not in vase mode like it's suggested) and even then I doubt it would do a good job at diffusing.
They're pretty, but if you are looking to get any practical acoustic use out of them, you're better off making other DIY diffusers.
@@ZomBmusicHQ Appreciate the confirmation!
I’m always impressed by the simple things we can print to help organize.
I need to print the drain snake and the trunk Velcro holders
I could definitely use the cable clips and trunk organizer. Might try replacing my broom holder with this one too.
Over extruding in vase mode might help the waviness. I've had good results up to 2x the nozzle diameter as wall thickness.
He is back and he is still adorable. Bro Hugs.
That broom handle holder, a thousand year Idea repurposed for today, is a simple design that will open many lay peoples eyes to the potential of threed. Finally.
Perfect garage shop front sales item.
Very useful! Thanks
Some great ideas, Thank you
Cool selection, thank you
I need to print some of those broom holders, such a jungle of tools in the shed :)
This is awesome! thanks for the video!
Those velcro trunk holders are genius!
Didn’t think I would print anything, but that car hook was something I didn’t realize I needed!
thank you! just printed out a drain cleaner as second print (after a Benchy) on new Bambu X1C :)
Actually searching for usefull design that make my life easier since I have a brand new creality K1, and this video is just Perfect I love all the idea pretty ingenious! 🤩
I really like the locking cable clip and think a version of that would work awesome to keep spark plug wired nice and tidy.
I really like all of your videos thank you for making them
Yes for the cable organiser, not so much though for the plughole hair extractor demo!
Those GOATs are the fourth-most-popular folk duo in Australia
I'm trying to convince my family to get a third one to manage the other two. Maybe call it Murray.
@@TeachingTech Have you considered printing a fake broom? 😄 Or just make one with leftover filament? Would they eat it?
Gotta like that I saw this right before the US Grand Prix F1 Practice 1. Ha ha. Nice treat before the meal.
Those clips look great!
I always watch your videos and noticed your love for Danny Ric, you've had Red bull, Renault, McLaren and now Alpha Tauri merch. Hopefully it'll be Red Bull again next season.
i got the broom holder already, its awsome
Awesome
great stuff!!
I love the business card holder but i've already set up gridfinity for most of my organizational needs
Yeah, I put Gridfinity on almost everything other than decorative items. I don't really use baseplates though, I like making large trays that can stack, but are big enough to stand alone, and stackable filament hinge boxes
many thanks.
have these enelope batterirs and charger😃
Greetings from the Galilee
I just wanted to say I noticed you have a PS Vita and that makes me happy
Actually useful prints! Too many videos out there with retreds of non-sense dollar store junk, but this is another one of your videos with good info!
exelente video muy explicativo y cosas muy utiles gracias por compartir exito y salud
great stuff as usual. Im sure you have plenty of 3D printed accessories and upgrades for sim racing rigs. Could you please make a special for your fellow enthusiasts?
me encanto el porta escobas muy ingenioso
Reppin the DR! Love it!
Ahahahah perfect timing, I was about to start listing all the things I need to queue in my printer
It's not just about organization; it's about creativity and making life more enjoyable.
4:40 Bro you need to spend some of those prusameter points! 😂 loved the video! I have several friends who would be interested in the business card holders so I will be printing some of those for sure!
He's back, baby! 🤘🏼
the key thing and broom holders are getting spun up on the printer for sure...great tips
Nice t-shirt mate!
That last one seems extremely useful
Great video as always.
What's the best platform to share files on? I tried thingiverse a while ago with no success, I want to share some designs like a bag hook with print in place chain amongst other things
3:09 While the reflection looks good, making the surface fuzzy (in Cura, fuzzy skin) would probably make it more effective. This will mimic the porous aspect of foam panels. You'll also want to print it with a couple of walls to make absorption better and stability for the fuzz.
I've never used fuzzy skin on vase mode. What do you know. I just fired up PSv2.7.1, loaded a built-in cylinder, turned on vase mode and then fuzzy skin. It sliced w/o problem. How well does it print, I wonder.
@@Sembazuru I haven't ever used fuzzy skin and only used vase mode once for flow tuning (from Teaching Tech's calibration video and website). I suspect a fuzzy vase will be really sketchy to print with all that shaking and no wall to support it.
The best is the last one!
Thumbs up for the AlphaTauri shirt!
Had to get one before they changed their name and because Danny Ric was there.
do you find the sound panels to help or is it more for decoration?
This is a great video, but I do feel it's worth pointing out those acoustic panels must be printed in something non-flammable like PETG. PLA is highly flammable and flammable acoustic panels have been cited in so many fires as being a significant cause of the severity (The station nightclub fire is a significant, and very tragic, example). Usually it's flammable acoustic foam, but the same would apply here if you don't use the right material.
Your goats are a reference to flight of the concords right? Amazing show.
The goats had that broom down by the end of the day 😀
I wonder how much weight those broom handle hooks can hold. I'm thinking of shovels and rakes in rhe garage.
I would have the assume the acoustic dampeners don’t actually work, since they aren’t at all porous and just add more smooth surfaces for the sound to bounce from. Maybe because they’re thin they can kind of help but they wouldn’t really work anything like actual acoustic foam or custom made acoustic treatment that you can still make for super cheap. other than that really good designs
Those clothes pins would be good chip bag clips too.
I'd be highly skeptical of the hollow sound panels. They look cool, but being hollow, there's a huge range of frequencies that they really can't touch.
I think most of those panels are only good for sound reflection in the room anyway, so maybe it could do as good of a job in that regard.
Yes it actually just shit tbh
@@IrocZIVyou can't exactly place those willy-nilly...
Thinking about drilling a hole and adding sand - but you are right and they are really more for looks.
What did you use to mount the panels
3D printed organs for your life! Hurrah! (misread title at a glance)
I sense a remix here. Combine the Trunk velcro holders with your video on 3D printed Velco.
I would say that the cable organiser where the cable wraps around then is covered is a fire risk the coil will act as a transformer winding and could melt etc
Don't know if it will be a risk here. Think the cable is too short and loosely coiled. But my last workplace, they used an old welding thread roll to roll the extension cord around. One day one of the workers was making waffles and didn't unwind the cables and they melted and shorted.
Casually having 6k prusameters in his account lol

What printer is that?! I’m a sucker for clear technology and I gotta know.
what app r u using to print
The sound panels are awesome. I’ll def be making some to experiment in locations behind the tv for optimal sound.
just use a curtain offset a couple cm from the wall, way better than printing a load of junk
FYI, I am 99% sure that the sound panels won't help at all regarding sound diffusion or absorption. The only thing I would recommend them for is for aesthetic use.
Plastic isn't a good material for any acoustic purpose.
Btw I am a sound engineer so my comment is really to help you out so you don't waste filament and time with these "sound panels" 😅
@@ZomBmusicHQ just what I thought, but would a curtian of some sort suspended from the wall that sits a couple cm away from said wall help at all?
@@bradley9856 For sound absorption, you want the sound to travel into the material and then get trapped within it until it looses all of it's energy.
So yeah, curtains work better than not having anything at all.
The heavier the curtain, the better it will perform.
Solid materials only reflect the sound, so the curtain has to be made out of porous material (as in, more fabric, less plastic)
A good and cheap material for sound treatment is Rockwool, look up "DIY sound absorption panels using Rockwool" and you can see how cheap they are to make. That's my go to budget and effective suggestion.
Having kids means i always need clothes pins, definitely checking that one out
These could all organize my house but I'm not sure about my life. I don't think any of these prints cure crippling depression or loneliness.
I can't wait to get my first printer! Need to find another job before I can buy one 😢
Just be careful that it will become the gift that keeps on "giving"... errr, taking. It's not just the initial cost for the printer itself, you'll also need rolls of filament in different materials (and possibly also colours) at around $20-25 a piece, filament drier, many upgrades (if you're buying a cheaper printer to begin with), maybe also carbon filters, an SBC for Octoprint or Klipper, maybe also a web cam for it, etc etc etc.
Do you feel your life is better organized with sound panels? ;-)
Yes.
You look like Alpines Ocon 😊
Missed opportunity to "test" those Velcro corners around a track day
The organizer at 7:06 seems like a good idea, but won't the coil create an electromagnet? That could be an issue with anything magnetically sensitive and possibly vampire out some electricity to keep the EM field energized.
No, because when current flows in both directions, magnetic fields cancel each other (in very close range not completely, but in practice well enough). If you separate L and N (or + and -) and coil them in _different_ directions, that would be quite different (better not do that though 🌩) 😉
I honestly think the loose corners look better on the tensegrity card holder. When you first see the illusion it's easy to think that the strings are "fake" in some way; like they are stiff. With them loose it makes it fairly obvious that there isn't fakery involved.
You should tell yourself and friends to make a parabolic plastic bowl shape device for painting with zink for wifi band dish reflection and maybe make a mesh dish backing with like speaker wire and copper wire so you can make your own wifi reciever sender for a laptop wlan card adapter for high priority use at like 760 characters per second for long distance simple internet use
Should have put a USB thumbdrive/SD/Micro SD organizer. They help out!
Have you found any good microsd organiser? I'd love one that packs ar least 15-20 cards, allows for some form of label/id for each card, and it is small enough to throw in your laptop bag
3 minute - It's not a sound absorbiing panel, its only diffusion panel and because of thin walls works really poorly. But looks cool.
11:32 I've watched so many detailing videos I was expecting a vacuum to pop out there..
7:32 yeah don't do this, what you just done is create a heating coil.
Even though the printer is pulling maybe 300W from the wall, cables are not designed to work while coiled up and depending on the cheapness of them can overheat, melt, short and start a fire. Look up the difference in amperage ratings for "chassis mount" and "power transmission" modes, chassis mount means loose cable, power transmission means cable in a bundle (or coiled up like this). Generally, the amperage rating of a coiled cable is about 1/6th of a normal cable.
Please don't burn down your house with sketchy solutions like this, just buy a shorter cable or make a new one yourself.
But no links to the other videos in the description?
The links have been there the whole time.
5:20
Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?
I want another video 🤣
Make coil from AC wires (7:46) isn't best idea.
Obviously that velcro part should have printed velcro as part of the design.
What’s the vase mode?
This will help: th-cam.com/video/dtU9N-2Mimw/w-d-xo.html
Honestly my life would be more organized if I would stop printing stuff LOL
woo
Are the goats named Bret and Jemaine like from Flight of the Conchords? lmaooo
Correct :)
I really like your broom holder, but I think it should be developed a bit so that the orange spindle doesn't fall out - one option is to create some sort of track behind the spindle... but a smart idea.
Nice Shirt Bro😅
1992 called and wanted their business cards back 😂
