Modern MMD videos are oversaturated with overly polished models and effects. They are nice but what a lot of us don't know is that early MMD videos with buggy models and robotic movements have their own charm. This video made me smile. You did a nice job!
This brings me a weird sense of happy comfort. I didn't even live through the 2000-2010s Miku era; yet, when I became a fan back in 2018, the old songs were always my favorites. Nowadays I feel like vocaloid songs tend to be saturated/cluttered with lots of effects, which can still be enjoyable. But songs like these, simple, slow and with catchy melodies, together with the nostalgic and unique MMD you managed to put out, really feel like a remnant of the old style lost in the vast sea of vocaloid today. The fact you included different vocaloids throughout the song and the video, and that you are purely doing this for the sake of art, is such a wonderful cherry on top. Thank you for this masterpiece. :]

Besides, I think it's got to do with how producers have been able to experiment with all the tools they have been getting this decade. It all just happened so quick (just like the Internet tbh), so now that we're getting a chance to sit down and appreciate vocaloid, we realize how much has changed and the nostalgia hits way harder. Like, I'm not even over 20 yet, what's this feeling? :(
