Our school has the teachers take all their stuff down from the walls and we have to wipe the walls. Which is an absolute waste of time. Because 90% of what we’re wiping is clean. No dust, no marks, no anything- because it has been covered by posters and decorations all year.
I wish that would change! It’s very time consuming!

Wow we have the same red/gray and green /gray floor patterns at the middle school I work in Long Island, the school was built in the 50s so stripping and waxing is a challenge every summer… summer cleaning starts tomorrow 🤦🏻‍♂️

Since nobody replied to you yet, hello. So i applied for a custodian position at a local school district. I had 4 months of bakery maintenance experience from Costco and multiple years apprenticing in construction. Since the position involves not just cleaning but also fixing, I felt confident. Took about 2 weeks to get a call back and luckily I got the full-time position with NO PRIOR janitor or sub-custodian experience. Go figure! Hope this helps, good luck. I start December 1st 😁
