I might be 6 years late, but I feel the need to correct you through the ages. The Gayborhood is something that exists in every city. Philly actually has an official Gayborhood. It’s official because that’s the name. Most cities have some other official name though.
O. Sun An Tzi gayborhood is a term that’s been used for quite some time. When traveling, I’ve used it on google to search for the gay part of whatever town I happen to be in and I’ve been doing it for almost a decade. I’m fairly young so I can’t tell you with any certainty how old the term is, but I’m sure it was around long before I started using it.
