Purchased my gallon of hydro dip !!!!
Love your content! Thank you!
Here first 😊. Came just for this love your content. Have a couple of questions
1. How to paint in gold / silver details with hydrostone. What paint to use or which one do you recommend.
2. How do I know the sealer worked what to look for if it didn't. Planning to use hydrostone for candle vessels.
Thank you!
I love working with acrylic paints, and my process is similar to the one shown in this link:

To get some specific tips, I recommend watching this video, especially the part about sealers:

🤦♀️ I just ordered the quick dip 😖 now I have to order the hydro stone and the hydro dip. “go big or go home” I’m with you on that one 🤦♀️🤣
For real!!!
Another great video, Jay! I was just wondering if you were planning on making videos talking about using a 3D printer to make silicone molds. I remember seeing one of your videos where you talked briefly about having one and was just wondering if you were gonna bring those type of tutorial and advice videos to your channel. 👀
Yes I did mention that and got sidetracked with other aspects of the business. I will add it on my list. Thanks.
@@upvibecandle Awesome, looking forward to it!
Love your videos
OMG I can't stand you so I'm subscribing! 😂 your energy is frigging great!
Sounds like my wife! 😁
where can i find hydro dip in canada thank u
has anyone had issues with Hydrostone staying wet/moist for a long time? My object is thicker then hers and weeks later my piece is still moist! Am I supposed to cure it with heat?
Is there another sealer that works with Hydrostone? Unfortunately, I'm not able to get Earth Safe shipped to where I live in Canada
How long after the vessel is made that you can seal it
My question too.
You are correct I tried using the same sealer for cement on hydro stone guess what happened? You guessed it a lot of leaks and it mixed with the wax after a week while melting the wax.
Isn't it depressing when that happens? I made the awesome hydrostone jar with siliver flakes. It was amazing. Lit it up and then... well you know the rest. Depression!
@@upvibecandle Yeah but keep on creating👍
Hey jai do you recommend an alternative for cement all for those of us with health problems? I want to make candle vessels but I can’t use cement all in my house, and I don’t have a garage.just curious before I purchase you class
Hi. Hydrostone is a safer material but I always wear a mask just because it's better to be safe than sorry. Check this video out here. th-cam.com/video/viz0A_MNtfc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=U83ClmbBdA9qq0jr. Hope that helps. Looking forward to having you in the community.
Can you do a video about shipping hydrostone candles please? It's one of my biggest concerns, I'm pretty new to working with it.
Do you mean shipping so it doesn't crack?
@@upvibecandle Yes.
I'll add that to the list. @@shinningstar439
@@upvibecandle I'm just now seeing your reply and thank you!!!!!
Hi Jai! I got in touch with Nancy about shipping me some ESF. In the meantime, is there possibly any other sealer I can use for hydrostone? Something I could be locally. It will take 3 weeks for ESF to arrive. Thanks!
I have not found a sealer to date that can handle the porosity of hydrostone.
I want my hydrostone jars to be gloss finished. Is Water-based Polyurethane good option before hydrodip?
No. Use either bit.ly/3DChNXg or 1 Gal bit.ly/3OqDFKq
@@upvibecandle that's perfect! Thank you..
I'm seeing reviews that say the dip is not actually matte when dry, but has a sheen. What is your experience? I'm looking for a really matte finish for Hydrostone.
To me the matte finish is fine.
@@upvibecandle OK thanks!
earth safe sealer i cannot find in canada any alternate
thank u
This is right from her website under the FAQ section.
13. Where do you ship? We ship worldwide.
Hi Jai! Happy New Year!
Omg - I just found your TH-cam channel and I’m loving it so much! Your energy and humor is infectious! Thank you for creating this awesome content and sharing your knowledge, it’s greatly appreciated.
I am just beginning this journey on making my own vessels and I was thinking about using hydrostone for the safety reasons. I have asthma so I would like to take extra precautions.
I really love the look of a matte finish on the outside so I would prefer not to add any sealant to the outside of my hydrostone vessels. Would that be okay? Or with hydrostone do you have to apply it to the outside for durability and to prevent any seepage from using them for candle making?
Again, thanks for your awesome content!
Thank you. Technically you don’t have to seal the outside but it’s very porous so you run the risk of multiple things staining the surface. Check out the ESF hydro dip (link in the description). It is a matte finish.
@@upvibecandle Ah ha, that’s great to know. It gives me something to think about and consider. Thank you so much for replying! I just checked out the ESF and I’ll be purchasing it. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!
Likewise and thanks again. @@georgina1921
So I guess eco advance sealant won't work on hydrostone either? 😢
Would i still need the earthsafe preserver/sealer for concrete vessels or could i use the hydro dip on both concrete vessels and hydrostone vessels instead of buying both
If you want to save money I have used the ESF sealer for concrete on both concrete and hydrostone. The top are matte finishes and the bottom gloss.

Hello! Is it necessary to varnish the jar after Hydro dip?
No, you don't need to do anything after sealing the inside.
@@upvibecandle thank you!
And to colour them what you use mica powder
