Hey Jai! I purchased mine on Walmart's website. A whole lot cheaper than Amazon and I was able to do curb side for pickup. Just an FYI.
@@Mary-gb8li oh that’s great to know. Thanks for sharing.
I have no idea what hydrostone is or why I was recommend this video but I love your energy and I ended up watching it all anyway 😂
Well that is awesome. I am so happy you stopped by.
Always enjoy your videos, Jai. This one is no exception!
Awww. Thank you so much. I truly appreciate you and all your work!
LOVE all your tips and tricks! I thoroughly enjoy making my own candle jars for my business.
@@countryblends Thank you.
You are the best 😂😂😂
Thank you for taking the time to make this. You crack me up! That water ratio was helpful as well.
@@onyaeonyae7 Thank you for always supporting. I truly appreciate you.
Great video and thank you very much for sharing.😊😊
@@yvencia1150 You are very welcome.
thank you for your amazing videos, i have a question , should i use the sand and plaster formula or hydrostone to have more smooth and stronger jar?
Your very welcome. If I had the choice I would use hydrostone.
Hey Jai, first of all thank you so much for all of your passion and dedication to the community. Your videos are so helpful! Quick question, do you think it’s safe to create my hyrostone vessels in my kitchen? I plan to use a respirator, gloves, and clean thoroughly. I’m just concerned about my family and pets. Please let me know your opinion. Thanks 🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words!
As for creating hydrostone vessels in your kitchen, it's great to hear you're planning to use a respirator and gloves-that's a solid start for safety. However, I would recommend setting up a separate, well-ventilated workspace if possible. While thorough cleaning helps, the dust from hydrostone can linger and pose risks to your family and pets. If you have no other option but to work in the kitchen, try to keep pets and family members out of the area during your work and cleaning processes.
Hope that helps.
@@upvibecandle This definitely helps, thanks again 😊
Great video you are correct I’ve tried the sealant you use for cement on hydro stone it does not work at all so with that I bought the earth safe finish and it works amazingly also with jesmonite if anyone is starting on that journey. I use more jesmonite now even though it may cost more I found a distributor in Canada who has amazing prices. Also any information he is a great person to talk to I spent a half hour on the phone he gave me so much info. I love learning about different materials.
@@CGKreations Thank you for sharing that information. I would love to know who your contact is on the Jesmonite. Would you mind sharing it? You could always email me directly if you’d like.

Can you use Hydro Dip for cement all ?
@@karenfrancisco4912 I’m not sure but I would imagine that you could.
I've been using pigments, cement colorants and rit dye for different effects and they all work well however on some darker colors like black, a white haze is developing over small areas while the hydrostone cures. Do you know what may be causing that? I'm using water filtered with a Brita and am using only 3% or less of the pigment. Thanks. Love your videos!
Sounds like efflorescence.
@@upvibecandle thanks, what causes that?
@@SylvrSharp It's caused by excessive water or humidity.
@@upvibecandle Ok I'll have to adjust my water percentage. Thanks!
Do you happen to have a video on how to figure out how much wax your concrete vessel will hold? My 1st trial vessels are cured, sealed and ready for candle making... but now I'm like uuuhhh...I have no idea how much wax this sucker will hold and therefore no idea how much fragrance load to add to wax....soooooo many questions!!! 😳

Eeeeeweweww ...I saw a hair!! :-D
FYI…great story, however, as the story goes, the item was a Ham, and grandma had to cut it smaller to fit her baking pan.
@@countryblends Sounds like a riddle.
