Hi i ise castmonite sealant and i use the standard hydrostone from barnes
Do you seal after the water bath too ?
Yes i do. After the water bath you need to let it dry for 5 days then seal then wait another 3 days after sealing
Beautiful vessels! Does sanding make the hydro stone shine or does it dry matte?
It drives matt.. it needs 5 days to dry out

Hi…what’s the difference between this and normal cement? Is it just the colour? Thanks
They are different products. One is cement without the aggregate and the other is a plaster/stone/casting material and lighter
How much does each one cost to make? And where do I buy the cement stuff?

hi there. the cost despends on so many thing. the size of the mould. some moulds stand the same size but take more weight in ingredients so therefor it costs more but id say anything from $1 for a small one to $8 for a large mould. you could work out the cost in a app like inventora and then get it right. it does take time to make them so i suggest its not a cheap easy fast way but more of a hiigh end look

Barnes but they are sold out and it wont come in for 4 months.

Hi there i brought it from a german maker on etsy. I yhink its called a honey pot mould
I like that new one I really want to try this but I don’t know yet lol😂it is cement still 😂 how much wax goes into it I’m glad your feeling better
These ones will take 210 grams wax but you can get larger ones. I’ve found that people generally want the 200 grams or so one as they don’t want to pay a lot more for larger jars
Well most the candies I buy are small decorations ones or 6 to 9 oz is really the most ones I buy too so I can’t blame them but I have bought a hugh candle It cost a lot I can’t remember I do believe it was over 60 dollars but it was very unique and very different so it’s on display I don’t burn it 😂 I do love theses tho and bigger ones would probably be a lot in shipping too the more you make them one day I’ll try it for myself lol yours are very pretty 🤩

Hey do you know what kind off concrete they use in the uk for candle vessels I’d appreciate any help you could give me thanks

@@Owa24 I don’t use it as it’s impossible to get here to but you can use either castmonite , jesminite or hydrostone

has anyone had issues with Hydrostone staying wet/moist for a long time? My object is thicker then hers and weeks later my piece is still moist! Am I supposed to cure it with heat?
No heat. When its going hard you should feel the mould getting hit and thats the hardening process.
All the people i know that use it have a thinner consistency like mine. If you are weighing 3 parts powder to one part water then it should be like mine . If not id be contacting your supplier as maybe something is wrong with the bag
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery thank you! I actually used a cement sealant on it. Now I’m thinking this could be part of the issue, sort of trapping moisture in the object.
So the powder... was that hydrostone?
