I was so nervous about using the straight razor, even practicing using it. But this guy just made me feel at ease and confident about using it on my next client. Thanks Bruh frfr 💯✂️
I have just bought myself a straight edge razor to use at home because I like the super smooth edges around my beard. But I was super nervous about using it, as I hadn't used it before. I watched your video, and the advice you give is so good! I followed the instructions perfectly and It gave me a super smooth shave with no cuts! Respect from the UK!
This is the best video I've come across on how to use a straight blade razer, and I will be referring back to it a lot when practicing. Thanks for taking the time to make this for us!
Now that I've watched this after watching others, I'm actually gonna pic up that straight edge today! It's taken me years to muster up the courage, but this is the only video that's given me enough to go ahead and finally do it! Cheers bro, this tutorial is MINT! 👌🏼
Thank you so much. I’m a new barber and shaving is my biggest challenge i could NEVER get it right. But now i know it’s because of the angle i was using and putting too much pressure.
Thank you for sharing! Needed to fine tune myself after doing hair for 30 years and going back to some shaves. You really sparked some good facts and teachings!
Great video, broke it down nicely. I've been cutting hair since '91 but never owned a straight edge razor, so even I have to start from the basics. I'll definitely be using these techniques on myself, thank you. Oh and that beat slap!
My brother this video is needed, you made precise and very knowledgeable points, quick and in detail. Blessing and more blessings to you and your family in Jesus name Amen
Thank you so much for this video. This is definitely the most helpful video I've seen to use a straight razor. I really appreciate how thorough you are, and that you address reasons why people might be afraid to use razors. I'm saving your video to use for later!
Woah pulling up on the skin and following the natural line creates a perfect curvature. Thank you! I was always put a 45° angle but 30° works way better.
great video bro...was also nervous at first but watched some videos n it helped a lot like another thing is don't press too hard...lighten up with the pressure...also, out the razor felt down and cut at a slight angle while stretching the skin...
I've been using a straight for 6 months So far you are the best teach. PS It sounds a lot like smooth rap when you are talking . Get that shit out there you'll be fucking Great. Stan A.
This is the 1st vid I watched on using a razor. Love it! Great job with the explanation. I’m sure most of the techniques you gave would also apply to using the razor on yourself? Can you make a video on that if you don’t have one? Im gonna check out the rest of your vids. Thanks again bro!
Good tips on how to handle and use a razor, quick question 🙋♂️ on beginners, can you line up on dry skin or you have to always apply some sort of razor gel.
Thanks for watching bro and if you apply the tips I showed you’ll be fine using it dry skin just remember to stretch the skin but for the neck area I would recommend some shaving cream or gel just because that area is a lot more sensitive
Thankyou so much I’m a 16 year old barber I had my first client I only accidentally cut him 1 but after I watch this video I gave him 0 cuts Thankyou so much bless you
I do over think 🤔 it all the time! Thanks for that knowledge you shared with us. The technique with the 30 degree angle was a lot of help I’m learning something new. You help me! Thank you so, so, much Keep up the great work. You are a great teacher!!! I give you a A+ I have a question? On the video you show us to cut the tip off new blade. Is that for better results? Have I been doing it wrong 😑 this entire time? lol I’m an airhead 🤦♀️ Thank you 😊 again.
Thank you so much for watching and your appreciation 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 and great question and the reason I break off the little piece on the bottom of the razor blade is so it’ll be easier the press the rest of the way into the Turkish razor handle but there are many other razor handles that don’t require breaking that piece off. I hope this answered your question.
I'm having a hard time finding a straight razor in stores. I thought that Sally's Beauty Supply store would have them. I picked up what I thought was a straight razor yesterday and it turned out to be a darn feather razor! Lol!
Great tips 🙌 I currently use a Gillette Mach3 cartridge razor for lineups. It’s just alright. I need to get the balls to use one of those straight razors for more crisp lineups 😂
Been trying to learn to cut my hair I'm using the same blade as you them derbys but either I'm using it wrong or there not sharp enough I can just never seem to get a perfect Line I even got a beard shaping tool to use on my forehead and still can't get that line it's not bad but not great
It’s a preference bro but me personally I like the hairline and beard line areas dry if I’m lining it up but if I’m shaving a bald head or shaving off a beard I’ll use a shaving cream or gel to lubricant the area so the blade glides smoother.....I hope this helped and thanks for watching bro
Great tutorial.
Different holding techniques, loading/unloading, and using corners to cut raised skin were all gems 💎. Thx for sharing
Thanks for watching

Hey bro! I am Turkish and you are pronouncing "Sedef" just about perfect man... I am surprised too. Keep up the good work.
It is actually a woman's name. Name of my ex-girlfriend was Sedef, so I am some sort of an expert on the topic lol.
