I have pain in my cheek bones. Headaches at times. Lower lip and tip of tongue numbness. Tightness in chest (similar to phlegm buildup in the chest area). I choke sometimes when I swallow or am drinking water. Feel like a little bone shift in the throat when it happens When I sing, my vocal cords and area around larynx hurts and burns. Feel loopy. Go sideways as if in a drunken state. Forgetfulness. Pain in my joint from arm to shoulder. Very bloated. Nausea (at times). Burning posterior part of neck and upper back. Hand finger numbness and pain. Pain and burning numbness feet and ankles. History of lower back pain. Diagnosed Friday Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Sent for MRI of the brain. Operated from hypoparathyoidism found beginning of cancer. Just got bloodworks done waiting for results. Neurologist prescribed pain pills...I am a horrible pill taker...I...AM extremely positive.😊👋👍🙏 God bless you Doc and God bless you all!!! Thanks Doc for this video. 😁
Great summary as usual, Dr. H. The only thing I would add in my exams for these folks are palpating for tenderness or taut bands in the pronator teres just below the volar elbow and ligament of Struthers just above the medial elbow. Those are often missed entrapment points of the median nerve. It's interesting that not everybody has a Struther's ligament but 100% of people with carpal tunnel have this ligament suggesting the so called double crush phenomenon which leads to other potential sites of treatment. Of people that clearly have carpal tunnel syndrome and had a suboptimal surgical release of the median nerve at the wrist when I inject those above sites with D5W (via perineural injection technique) they get immediate relief.
Is relief because of healing?

Just got my mri xray results back. I have c5 c6 nerve compression. I struggle with numbness on right side. Made worse by strenuous activity I get no pain just swelling which results in further dept of numbness. Muscles on right feel like rubber. My specialist is referring me to get 'electrical testing' I'm not sure my specialist realizes how scarey it is when the back of your neck numbs as I tried explaining. But at least something showed.

Great question Don, first we are sorry to hear that you are experiencing finger numbness as well as neck pain. Unfortunately, it isn't a clean cut answer. Everyone experiences symptoms differently, especially depending on the instability. Although, we will say that the longest the instability occurs, the more magnified the symptoms become. It would be wise to get an evaluation!

Can loose or stretched ligaments cause burning small fiber nerves in or under the skin or nerve pain in muscles? I have no numbness.
