Ok. So I have a theory. I once heard Kevin Eastman say he would love to do a sequel to the last Ronin and we now have 2 turtles whose Bodies were never found as far as I know. But if Baxter Stockman survives Last Ronin I could imagine him taking the corpse of one of the other Three Turtles, giving it cybernetic parts like he did with Hiroto's foot Ninja and using it to fight Ronin/ Mikey. I realize Raphs body is probably at the bottom of the ocean but remember this. Mikey was the youngest of the Turtles and his body's mutation progressed forward. Whose to say Leo or Raphs bodies didn't already go through similar mutations that just barely saved their lives.

@@steviedepievie3996 yea ikr. Because they are focusing on how much bigger and stronger Mikey has got over the years and how his mutation has only made him stronger and heal quicker for a reason. It's a good possibility something like this could happen
The mutation is definitely going to be in play somehow. I'd love for Mikey to find one of his brothers alive but if it's as an adversary controlled by Baxter...that would be heartbreaking.... It may be heading to his mutation could help Karai and they could defeat Hiroto that way, with Baxter being the real villain who has been manipulating Hiroto though there may still be another villain somewhere else out there. Hiroto may have even genuinely wanted peace at one time. After this issue though, I would say the old Mikey could see him as salvageable and more damaged than evil. TLR Mikey though? Not too sure yet. He honestly doesn't seem over the edge of the dark side now. He's clearly still thinking, planning and caring about everyone else.
I've thought the same thing. I really believe that the other turtles are still alive somehow.
Another little movie nod is that one of the human fighters/purple dragon types has red and white gear and the word “Keno” is written on it.
Man it all begins with Raphael if he hadn't ran off and stayed with his brothers they might of had a chance. But I understand his anger.
just like the 90’s movie. once he leaves he gets his ass kicked and everyone else is forced into the fight. Ralph is the best turtle though.

Did anyone else notice how closely those robot Foot soldiers resembled their 1987 cartoon counterparts? They were basically those Foot soldiers only ten times as nasty.

The foot robots that baxter has at his disposal seem to resemble the old vintage action figures a little.
See I got all kinds of things running through my head and little tide bits I've noticed myself especially with Kevin Eastman and Roland issue 3 cover. But I'm definitely looking forward to issue 4. Why do I have a gut feeling that the foot clan have Raph, Leo, and Donny's bodies and the last ronin will have to fight them at the end.

SPOILERS ALERT IN THIS COMMENT.
As I had mentioned in another site..
Anyone noticed that the remaining turtles never got a chance to recover Raphael's body, neither Leonardo's or Casey's?
Since Donatello and Splinter are in the dark of the betrayal and will probably be killed in Japan as well. With their bodies also not recovered.
Why Do I feel like that there are 2 posibilities.
1) Iroto has all the mangled corpses of all of the turtle family and will display them to Michelangelo in the last fight as a big F** YOU.
2) Iroto and Stockman have experimented on the corpses to create other stuff as well. Hell, can you imagine if she tried to insert mutated turtle stuff into Karai to keep her alive?
I also know some don't like the way Leo went out, but could you imagine anyone really being able to take an Older much more skilled Leo out in combat? Leo was always the one who sharpened his skills to be able to handle any opponent. Baxter's freaking Bomb trap is the only way I could see Leo taken out. My only gripe is that I wish Leo had taken out some of the robots first. But like I said earlier, We now have two Turtle Corpses out there. Raphs could.either be at the bottom of the ocean or it could have washed up somewhere else. And Leo, even if he is dead. If Baxter did a sweep of the area with his little drones like he did when they blew up April's Apartment in the 2003 show. He could have found Leo's corpse and made it into a Cyborg. Honestly I'd rather it be Leo That Ronin/ Mikey would have to fight if there was a sequel. Don't get me wrong Raph vs Miley would be Cool. But Leo vs Miley would be so great because the two of them are so different. Leo was always the serious one who had to be disciplined to protect his brothers while Mikey was always the guy who partied and tried to show everyone a good time. I could see Mikey having so many regrets that the brother who tried to look out for the other three so much that he barely had Anytime for himself would really cause some inner turmoil for Ronin/ Mikey. But that's just my saying on it. I'm sure plenty of fans could see many reasons for it to be Raph or Donnie (If Donnie's corpse is still intact.) To be the cyborg Turtle. (Hahaha. I talk about this like Its really gonna happen, but for all we know the Last Ronin team don't even wanna touch a cyborg Turtle. Which is understandable we did kinda get that with Donnie in the Image Series.
He actually demolished a ton of robots. and concur on the sweeping. Even on dead the corpses would be extremely valuable for Baxter. Or as a trophy for the foot clan.
I would be surprised if by the end of the book Mikey's Mutation helps Krai in someway

Love the series but to me this issue was confusing. Like they tried to cram so much into just this issue. And the way Leo and Casey went out was underwhelming.
But the big image of the aftermath of the explosion still goes to the feels just like with Raph's sai sinking, plus each death signifies their personality almost or how they act
Ralph ran off to do his own thing which was to kill Karai but he failed since she ended up in a coma, Leo went down as the leader who helped get his team out alive mostly, and soon we'll see what they have for Donnie and Splinter

Donnie’s outfit was used in the old comics issue #11 I think, the farm?? It’s the same issue Casey says “Goongala Goongala” for the first time, witch he copied it from the old Tarzan movie. Casey is a huge movie buff.

Huh surprised he didn't mention how the robot foot soldiers in the past look like a more realistic version of the 80s cartoon foot
They did my boy Leo & Casey dirty. Blew 'em up! Damn!!! Leo deserved a more hardcore death.
So... this issue was a bit of a let down. In order of minor grievances to worst. Along with a proposed solution. Hear me out please:
1st - So there's an explosion as we know and its like... really?? Would Leo protect everyone? Absolutely. BUT there are sure a lot of convenient situations. Stockman's here and now he knows where the base is. Yeah, I suppose he can track this energy but why is this never mentioned before?
Here's where I wish they would have added some background. Yes, its closer to the original Image/Mirage comics but still... not everyone knows who is who. Not everyone knows Fugitoid or Stoockman and what they can do or what he means. A brief set of panels or some monolouge would have helped Which leads me to...
7:20 "Fugitoid knows Baxter is after him and he'll self destruct before he lets him capture him or hurt his friends."
Also Fugitoid: Must have figured out they are tracking them. Wise move here is FLIGHT vs. FIGHT and fall back early. Maybe they can track him but get to a better position, more room, and fast. Moves closer to everyone else instead of staying away. I imagine a self-destruct would cause some damage. Instead, he goes in closer. Plus, it was mentioned 'no strikers can be seen' or it could be used against them. Leo is cool headed. I don't think he would try to escape or at least TRY. We don't see it. A trap for sure!! FALL BACK!! (This will probably be used against Don/Splinter upon their arrival in Japan)

2nd - In a earlier video, the Den pointed out that it looked like Donatello was fighting someone with a tazer weapon, next to the gameboy panel (heh - nice touch) on the stairs right after the ambush. But here we see that's NOT him because Don went to Japan. Some 'individuals' (Purple dragons perhaps?) Or this one guy even wearing wearing similar clothing (with blue headband) that looks like Leo at a quick glance. A distraction perhaps. Still, I know some people are thinking its silly to suggest the Turtles are not dead. But we still have not seen actual bodies. I dunno. If Splinter can be assumed dead in issue #2 and then (POOF!) he's fine in the next...
i.e. The arm in the explosion isn't Leo but the armor from one of the team. And in Raph's case, Karai went for one of the kunai knives but all we REALLY SEE is a punch, or even if it did stab and they just couldn't show it, who is to say Raph didn't swim up to shore somehow. Very weak, confused, lost... but not dead. I'm starting to think there's more to the Turtle Ghosts. In the 1990 movie, we saw them talk to Splinter (who is NOT a ghost despite being exposed to the mutagen also... hmmm) and that meant he was alive. If there are so many call-backs, I gotta wonder.

3rd - Last issue isn't even addressed AT ALL. Like it was self-contained minus one Turtle. No explanation whatsoever about what happened. No mourning, no "Hey, where is Raphael?" because Casey and him were best buds and these guys were all brothers and Splinter calls them his sons. NOTHING. No mention at all. That honestly pissed me off the most!!
And now after that, they decide it's OKAY to split up and go on this journey where it is most certainly a trap where the enemy is their strongest? How about a neutral meeting point at the very least?
Donatello is NOT THIS DUMB!! It feels lazy and setting up an easy way to be on the enemy turf at such a disadvantage. Death due to coincidence!! We're weakened so let's both leave, with this machine that leaves us with NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYONE.... Because that makes perfect sense!! There isn't even a discussion about it. Just a 'yep let's go. It worked so well LAST TIME!'
I realize it was 10 years now. But still, that would be an Anniversary. They should have it fresh in their minds that their brother is missing and/or dead. Some kinda ceromony? What IS his official status? Do they know he's dead, missing, did they toss the city looking? Casey an him were best buds!! No answers given.
Imagine instead with a picture of Raph draped in black ribbon. Splinter is crying, saying he feels lost, like he has guilt for not training him well enough, or to control his anger enough, and is lost without his son. The other turtles chime in and it doesn't have to be a long scene, but a touching and heart-breaking scene nonetheless. We get NONE OF THAT.

I feel the reason April MIGHT be taking Mikey's blood to to make something that she and the others could use will help them. I think that's obvious. Just like I see a trap in the future for Donnie. I hope these are just red herrings. But, sad to say, this is a 3 out of 5 shells issue. Ronin started very strong and kept most of the momentum going but now... I thought this was THE LAST RONIN as in Mikey's story of Gritty Revenge. Why are we spending so much time on Casey Marie??? Sorry but not so sorry. I don't give a shit about her. The Turtles, I want to know how they died, so I can see Hiroto and Stockman rip the smirks off their damn faces when Mikey impales them on top of each other!!
I love TMNT... its my childhood in more ways than one. That's why I hold it to such high standards. But when I take my red mask and rosey glasses off... the mistakes of this issue (again IMHO) become way too obvious and I cannot forgive some of this. I appreciate the work everyone is doing but dammit its either a bit of a bad issue or a bump in the road and time to get back to where we were. Mikey is healed up now. Time to get back into the action and kill each one of these f**kers!! The flashbacks are needed, kinda gives us our motivation and some sadness, but I don't need the 'Marie' crew... I'm here for Mikey and his journey of revenge and redemption in his eyes.
The problem is, Raphael took a knife right to the brain from the base of his jaw. He's freaking dead. XD
Concur about the mourning. Perhaps they are going to address that as a flashback. They are giving us so very sporadic parts.
@@TravelWithCesarin That's what I thought at first, too. But if you look closely, she's gripping the handle, and I don't see that in the next frame even with the enhancing/zoomed software. Not saying it DIDN'T happen like that... just the possibility that it's a "What If?" despite the 5% odds of survival or it struck somewhere else. Raph is a hard-headed guy (LOL) maybe it didn't cause fatal damage or Raph himself didn't use it because he knew that it did something else. (shrugs) Maybe I'm just being hopeful.
Regardless, thanks for the comment and like (I'm assuming it was you?). There are just some things not adding up. Check out the Den's video on the first few enemies of he TMNT. They go to different dimensions, there's time travel, there's everything as insane as Mutant Turtles with Ninjas training and weapons. (heh)
@@jiryensaber6090 Agree on things not adding up. We still do not know if Iroto really wanted peace and Stockman manipulated him. Or if everything was like this.
As for the handle, Lets say I disagree, because you can see the blood coming from the mouth area and he sank to the bottom with the "darkness" foreshadowing as he went deeper. I do not think the turtles can be that much time under water either.
Changing subjects for a minute, someone said something about how heart-breaking it would be if the Turtles DID survive but were 'mostly' brain-dead or something else.
That scene where Hiroto jumps off the building and is caught by those arms or whatever. Notice they have three fingers. Three metal claws like. Know who else has three-fingers? Our Turtles. Posing this to anyone, but... you don't think??

Here is what I think will happen in the future issues....Issue 4 will begin with a flashback of Mikey arriving in Japan,and he will meet up with Donatello and splinter.the peace offer will turn out to be a trick,and Donnie and splinter will die protecting Mikey from orku hiruto and the foot soldiers.in issue 5 mike and Casey’s crew will raid hiruto’s compound.Mikey and hiruto will fight to the death,and when Mikey is done with him he will walk to Karai and murder her for killing his brother Raphael.

I love how the turtles books are so dark
I hate to be that guy, but I felt like issue 3 was the weakest entry so far. NOT THAT IT'S BAD. It's not. Just underwhelming. I wish we actually got to see more of Mikey's internal thoughts on being the last of his kind. That, and I hate how they only give Raph a "hint hint" reference after he died without even saying his name. I just thought this issue was missing important scenes. Oh well, I'm confident issue 4 will be better. I mean, it'll be about Donnie and Splinter dying and we're finally getting back into action, so we HAVE to see some of Mikey's inner thoughts.
It's a shame it isn't longer - more issues to explore all this would be great. I found it quite a hard read as to what exactly was going on at times as well

@@Salik96 don't get me wrong i love the series so far but seems like they made, the turtles, and splinter as well some not so smart choices that i don't see them making on how I invison and have watched and read. Seems like splinter and Donnie would be to smart for this. And the way Leo and casey went out was so underwhelming. Like they have faced mousers plenty of times. Just seemed like this issue was confusing and they tried to cram to much into it.
@@TimScottDT I mean I don't think the turtles would expect an attack from Baxster stockman and I don't think they would have expected him to blow the whole building. The attack was unexpected and there was no time to think but I respect your opinion.

I mean if they had help why not have them watch over the lair and they all go to Japan. Just seems to me like splinter would be to smart for some things that's happened or maybe at the time all this was going on they were just outnumbered and outmatched. Im looking forward to the next issue got a feeling things are gonna heat up and I got a feeling there's gonna be some sort of twist we don't see coming. I guess i just liked the first 2 so much that this one felt underwhelming for me and confusing.

I feel like that would have been the obvious choice.
Leo's death was underwhelming. Raph went out with weapons sticking out of all his sides.Covered in his blood and foot soldiers blood. Dead bodies of foot soldiers everywhere. He did all this by himself and still managed to kill Karai but she had more plot armor than him and is in a coma.
