A site called StarForce Media reads narrates, sound effects, and voice acts comic books. They actually read and play out these comics. Blew my mind because comics cost too much. I'm not sure why they do it but I'm not complaining. It's called Star Force Media. They do not disappoint. I think they only did up to episode 100 but it's better than nothing
Man, the whole Donatello recreating his family business always reminds me of MNT Gaiden so much, that was a great ride. Makes me wonder how Tigerfog and the people from the forums are doing.

appreciate teh full summary. The IDW Turtles are awesoem and I agree, that it should be some kind of animational story is needed for this story. Although I still felt not so satisfied with this conclusion, although it will get a sequal series. Lila becoming human was oneo f the saddest moment, I needed that turtle girl. And now the first part of the Hamato Clans story has ended, and we have no idea what happes next. But, we saw the future, and maybe then it will become different. mystical and deep, well talked recap. One can understand it now.
Congrats for the new podcast! it will be great! My favorite tmnt is probably idw. But the Matheus Santolouco run. I loved his art to death and for me it was the most memorable moments of the idw version. But overall is kinda hard to say if it really is my favorite. Every comic, cartoon movie or whatever is a unique universe and most are very cool. I love some of the cartoons too like Rise of the tmnt and the latest movie Mutant Mayhen. Its all great and its own stuff.
i am sad that Letta was demutated meaning she lost her future and connection to her family sure was likely taken else where. but the legacy bob took was a dick move. while i am also sad to see venus gone. but either this will be revisited someda.
I mean, this is still a comic book and things could be either ret-conned or changed. There's also nothing to say she couldn't be re-mutated in some fashion.
Venus's death was really sad and yeah Lita's demutation was a dick move but I think they'll somehow manage to find a way to turn her back in the future Otherwise it's just gonna create huge plot holes... If she doesn't mutate again there won't be a Lita in the future to help the present Donnie...
Up until the end, the IDW turtles run was far and away my favorite comic run ever. The rat king story ending in such a lackluster way with the lost pantheon brother showing up and just sort of ending everything, was real lazy writing. And then all the time travel stuff with Donnie felt out of place. Time travel is something i hate, i know others love it, but I just did not like the final arc at all. Venus was great, though. Really hope she comes back.
To me the ending was very anticlimactic. It didn't have any big buildup or payoff. It just seemed to happen and then stop. It felt rushed or not well thought out.
It's likely the relaunch was last minute deal between IDW and Nick renewing their rights and the writers (mainly Sophie Campbell) didn't knew until was too late. Like out of the last few arcs, Armageddon Games feels like the true final arc of the 2011 run. You have all the villains working together and all the heroes uniting for one final clash. By the time the game was over, there's only one villain left and he was quickly dealt with in the following issues. The ending felt so sudden because it was sudden. Sophie likely planned to make more arcs or plant seeds for future writers to make their own arcs and they would expect TMNT will move on pass 150. It can also explain how there's a sequel to 2011 TMNT during the same year 2011 "ended" because 2011 didn't truly end. 2011 is still on going with a time skip, and IDW just wanted to bring the turtles back to their roots with a new writer. A lot of people didn't like Sophie since she made the comics less action oriented and focus on other characters aside the main 4 in their main series, and while the series did picked up speed and became more action oriented, a lot of readers already dropped the series. (I'm a bit of a minority where I actually like Sophie's comic in terms of expanding the side characters, but I understand people's frustrations of the series becoming more slice of life fanfiction). IDW wanted to bring old readers back and intrigue new readers with a relaunch. So far, a lot of people really enjoy Jason Aaron run of TMNT along with new side comics like Mutant Nation, so the relaunch is just a marketing ploy
What did exactly happen in the finale? How could Donnie recreate the conditions for the turtles reincarnation if his existence depends on...himself already did what he will do in the future? It's the typical time-travel paradox or there was someone else who interfered with the QNA of the Hamatos? And when is the new Aaron run settled?
if you haven't found it already, it's a summer short from 8 years ago. look up the short "turtles take time (and space)". it's a nice short of the bros hopping time dimensions

We know she turns back to a turtle at some point because we’ve seen future Lita. Any predictions how she turned back into a turtle? Do you think it will ever be discussed?

@@ReddVencher oh really, and where do you get those numbers and why was IDW losing a ton of money if it’s flagship title was doing so well? I’m guessing you don’t have any sales figures. And yes the comic was 💩 when he took over. His artwork was ok up until around 100 then it was bad and the writing was just his terrible deviant art fan fiction.

It's interesting what they did but I think the "everyone is reincarnated and fated to fight" stuff was just way out there. TMNT works best when they're little turtles that fell into a sewer, and Splinter saved them before getting hit with mutagen. Human Splinter makes way more sense for him being a ninja master and for Shredder to have a history with Splinter as well.
In my opinion this is the definitive adaptation of the ninja turtles, although I also have to admit that I am not a fan of the theme of reincarnation in the origins of the turtles, it feels strange knowing that the turtles used to be human, I mean it's strange to see Rafael together with Alopex knowing that he was a human once while Alopex was a common arctic fox that mutated, I don't know It's uncomfortable to think about those things 😅 but other than that, in my opinion, this version of the Ninja Turtles gave us the definitive version of Leonardo, even much better than his series versions animated and live action
It ended with a whimper, not a bang. So bad that they had to relaunch the whole comic with different , big named writers because they gave the original comic to a furry obsessed dude who likes to dress and pretend he's a woman and put his politics into the comic.
I didn't enjoy it even back in like 2012 or 2015 when I first got into it but it was cool and interesting or different but call me picky but the story from this was very wonky or very weird how plot or the story sort of moved 5 steps forward and three steps back also is it me or does each issue sort of change artist or art style I never noticed it until you put every issue next to each other but I'm pretty the illustrations are made by the same person but I still think the 2003 tmnt still has the best story and I know its a show but Dreamwave comics were pretty much the same as the show but the IDW comics do have the best action scenes I've ever seen in comics
...stick around until the end of the video
