As someone that's enjoyed Necrovalley since Structure Deck Marik, it's very frustrating to face Yubel and likely more decks that can get things out of the graveyard as cost rather than effect, such as by summoning Phantom of Yubel. We've already had to get an errata to stop things in the graveyard from getting themselves out, at this rate it'll have to be buffed to say "cards in the graveyard are unaffected by other cards and effects" and then every Gravekeeper's card that can't be negated by Necrovalley gets errata'd as well.
The crazy thing about Obama king is that it will break duel links if they release ojamagic, since it would lead to an incredibly consistent lock down deck with the Ohara country skill. Edit: someone call help, I've been murdered by autocorrect
That would at least lead to a meta with decks that have 2+ attributes or where we have at least some other option than the tier 0 mono-attribute. For example you would see Snake eyes and Umi control being "Evenly matched" for some time before something else with wind element is released, which is amazing a diverse meta is always more fun. The only real downside I can see to printing imprisoning mirrors is that all side-decks would include at least one copy of each. Which is bad for the game, example being Maxx C forcing MD players to use more than a quarter of their decks to nullify his existence. But also... Why would you not have any Anti backrow in your deck? Specially now that Twin twisters is also a setup card for gy.
@@yuricahere Not really. Floodgates are everywhere and anywhere these days and continue to get made because the pace of the game has long since become absolute lunacy. For countless years now the object of the game, in essence, has been to essentially keep your opponent from playing as much as possible because there's simply too much a player can do at any given time. Whether you like them or not, floodgates aren't going anywhere until the game itself receives either some sort of reset, or a massive overhaul of the rules.
Skill drain and necrovalley can still have a lot of impact on the game. You also have Vanity's fiend, which when paired with jinzo and horus (or a similar combination) means you win. Idk if vanity stops handtraps but stopping all special summons is awesome in the modern meta...i have Jinzo and Vanity in my old Monarch deck.
@@keyblademasterclark I see people say this all the time, but they always ignore that Marik only played the way he did BECAUSE of the shadow magic. Marik deliberately held back on multiple turns because he wanted Joey to suffer more. He never intended to win by bringing Joey's life points to zero. Even in a theoretical scenario where it wasn't a shadow duel and it went exactly the same until the final turn, Marik simply wouldn't have revived Ra with Monster Reborn.
