This was a fan-made project I put together with some friends of mine, which started with the question "What if FFXIV had an Anime Opening?" and ended with us writing a FFXIV vocal song, then creating an actual Anime Opening video with footage from the game, and also a lyric video for the song itself as a separate thing.

Also, this has shot up to one of my favorite tracks of all time. This is a representation of 11 years of a life shaping game, encapsulate perfectly. Thank you to You and everyone involved, Alex.
Masterfully done. It screams "we've been through hell and we still are together". I'd be more than welcoming an FFXIV anime with this as the opening theme.
You know what, I won't be ashamed to admit this;
I've almost lost hope in my composing skills, feeling like I'm just hitting wall after wall of creative blocks - to the point i've practically halted my attempt at creating a career out of music.
This track Alex, that you, Husky and Nicktendo created ... It's re-awakened the Light of Music inside me.
Darkness nearly took hold and snuffed it out... Thank you, fellow Warrior of Light, for guiding me back home
I've been there lots of times, almost gave up on music once. It gets better!
I recommend you to just let yourself write whatever comes without judging it. That's what I did for my vocals here to be honest.
I currently know SO many singers who would've done a far better job than me here, and I will very likely look back to this track five years from now thinking something like "oh my god my vocals were so bad back then".
But that isn't a good reason to not write the music I can write today.
Learning is part of the journey, and people will criticize you at every step of the way no matter how good you are.
Critics don't matter tho, the only thing that matters is you having fun creating and sharing your joy with the world.
So cast perfectionism aside and get back into the fray, embracing whatever comes. Something great will surely come out of it!
At least, that's what I did when I was on the brink of quitting due to an incredible writer's block in 2015.

If FFXIV doesn't get a movie/show adaptation of some sort in the future, I will be shocked and severely disappointed!
There has already been a tv series announced, though no news for over a year. The only things we know is that it's a live action and doesn't follow the MSQ
There is “Dad of Light Final Fantasy XIV” on Netflix, it’s based on real events and super cute
There's one that already exists that relates to the game, but follows the story of a real player. There is an actual live action adaptation in the works, that I believe follows the stories of other characters in the world of Eorzea, but not the WoL/Scions.
If there is a show, this needs to be the opening
It better not, its not something that can just be transplanted into a tv show or a movie

the style on that part sounds really familiar, i wonder why
if anyone can enlighten me to what you would call that style or technique in music and/or have any recommendations of other songs that sound similar to that or have a similar part i would be really grateful!
My inspiration for that specific portion was "Blinded In Chains" by Avenged Sevenfold.
There's a passage in that song where the singer breaks out in one of the coolest rhythmic-singing verses I've ever heard personally! I knew we needed something similar in this passage so I tried to sing with a similar staccato rhythm there

Coming back here after beating Endwalker. The song really hits different for how -accurate- it is to Endwalker's themes, story, emotions it makes you go through.

Love it. FF music is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Since FFVIII from when I first played the game in high school and seeing the opening song, I kept wondering why people didn't recognise this masterful symphony. All FF music deserves mainstream recognition and I'm glad I'm alive to see its fruition

This is downright amazing, and I think you've certainly captured the feelings of the journey we as Warriors of light have taken though the land of Eorzea (and beyond!) The lyrics are just so awesome. I can't think of anything constructive over than amazing, awesome, so cool, brilliant. :)
I just started a new character with my brother who's getting into FF14 for the first time.
To think of our journey:
From killing wildnerness critters to prove ourselves "worthy" to be the envoy for a city-state coming back from the brink of Calamity
To fighting the literal embodiment of universal despair at the edge of all known creation.
Just, wow.
A year and a half later, it's still KICKING me how Denmo's lyrics make this feel like it was written by someone on the team, a time traveller, a psychic or some matter of those three, because DAMN. Sure, some of the stuff is pretty general, but some of it is pretty on the nose, it's insane.
This was pretty rad. I especially liked the "We remember -" line with that shot.
Very emotional.
"Remember Us" makes me feel a million things at once. Those two words and I'm nearly crying.
This is beyond amazing, i can't stop listening to it. And the best thing about it, cause it's made from themes throughout ffxiv it feels very nostalgic. You guys nailed it!!

I love the inclusion of lyrics and chords from the music and songs of previous patches, but you also twist them in a way that makes it your own yet a wonderful callback to our journey as a warrior of light. Wonderful job Alex never stop jamming these bangers out.

They may have released that "Fly Me to the Moon" cover as an official thing, but honestly the song keeping me company waiting for the game to come up at Endwalker's release was this one. This version is great to have but I think I was way more hyped just from hearing you go through the creative process so I’m especially thankful that we got that video first because it’s the producer side that I find super fascinating.
