Thanks brother Ceasar. As an artist with brown skin. Its great to see a master show their technique when it comes to mixing and applying color for a person with darker skin. Wonderful.

My favorite of Santos' work. Hands down (for me) the sweat and sclera of the eye are just perfect. Seeing the olive hue come through the skin, its perfectly done.

In an interview Ceasar explained that after college his only option job-wise would be teaching. But he wanted more--to be an amazing painter--of course, that is what he is, but I'm so thankful he decided to be a teacher too!

Yo uso cualquier papel fuerte de 170g o mas. Lo preparo con dos manos gesso.

I ask because I am finding that depsite trying the very best of taking good photos when I print them the colours, value, temperature are all different from what i expect. Are there any ground rules in how to print a photo reference?

Hiya from another gray English morning. Loved the video as always. One thing I learned very quickly from painting flesh is that we really are all the same colour no matter what our background. It's so crazy that we still live in a world where some people use the colour of someone's skin as a reason to hate and fear rather than see the beauty. Lots of love as always to you. X
Master Painters I myself don't think people discriminate black people for their colour. I have noticed people discriminate them because most of them are not good looking. Don't forget that!

May I ask did you use linseed stand oil as a medium?
Yes, mineral spirits (if needed) for the underpainting, cold press first painting and stand for the final stage.

Hello Cesar Your are what I see as perhaps, the most admired young artist in the world! Just wish the likes of you existed about 40 years ago, maybe i would really have become talented by now! With that said, I follow you daily to say the least trying to keep up with anything you are presently doing! I purchased your Secrets to Portraiture, and wow; has my process and style changed and improved! I also purchased the Charles Bargue Drawing Course, which I am practicing on my own and that is going okay I believe! I was in Italy a short time ago, but was unaware of the Angel Academy but after seeing you and Mr. John Angel carry on, I was Cooked! Can't afford to study in Italy, but I did text Mr. Angel and told him I planned to return this summer: He said if so, He would give me a personal tour of the Academy: I freaked out! I also just call the Florence Academy In New Jersey to day to see if I can get into some study the spring or summer: can't afford to study in Florence at present but I hope to should I experience some sudden financial windfall. Would love to meet you one day: I am often in Florida, maybe one day! Thank you for all you have exposed to the public to help me! You are as generous as you are talented!

Hi Cesar, how long does the gesso take to dry when you put the light coat over your drawing? Do you have to leave it to dry overnight before starting the actual oil painting process?
