Have a 2008 titan and the slip light is on and the 4x4 icon has gone. No abs issue. Thoughts? Brake fluid max, tires up, no abs sensor issue. It came on after i switched the horn relay, that's likely unrelated.
My abs and slip light are on. And 4wd light is on but doesn’t flash but when I put it in 4 wheel drive the front tires flash and my 4 wheel drive works perfect every time even with all the indicators on. But sometimes it gets stuck in 4wd so I have to turn the truck off and start it up again and then it will come out off 4wd. Idk what causes this and haven’t tried to find the problem yet I’ve just been doing it the way I explained. Another issue with 4x4 I only had it 2 times but when I was in 4wd it would not let me turn to the left at all I couldn’t even move the steering wheel an inch to the left. Took it out of 4wd and it was fine 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
So I replaced a relay for the horn and the slip light came on and stayed on. All electrics work, no issue with brakes, sensors, all fluid levels maximum.... Checked the fuse box ground.... Did the whole drive straight and unhook the battery things.... No luck, still on. It's the only light on. What can clear this darn light out? I can't see the 2wd 4x4 icon and select drive mode with the slip light on. Any ideas on the fix?
Hey Jonathan! Locks like, probably, horn relay circuit pulling down another circuit. Did you replace old horn relay with OEM new one or some auto market comparable relay which fit? Does horn work now? If you remove horn relay, is there any difference? Does 4x4 actually works without illuminating the 4x4 symbol? Do you have any confirmed or pending DTC (codes) related to instrument cluster module, transmission ect.? Hard to tell without seeing the truck. Could be just coincidence, not related to horn relay replacement.
@@PistonShack I put in an OEM one but no difference so switched them back. The 4x4 icon is not showing, just the SLIP light so even trying to select 4h before starting the truck does nothing. I had a low voltage and CAN u1000 code but the battery is running 12.87 turned off and 13.83 turned on so no low voltage. The u1000 is so generic, no other info. I do agree though, likely the horn circuit pulling down another. Which one I don't know how to diagnose.
U1000 is CAN communication fault code due to some harness open, shorten, poor ground or failing one of the ECU drivers. Especially on Nissan Titan, I would go to check transmission main wiring harness connector for any rusties crustiest and moisture intrusion. Inspect connector for bridging rusted pins / terminals ect. It's pretty common problem on Titan. Connector is located behind front passenger wheel plastic liner next to the frame rail underneath a truck. This harness connector causing so many electrical transmission malfunctions.
@@PistonShack checked the ground locations for ECM and abs and took them off, cleaned, checked ECU connector for dust.... All clean and back together.... Same SLIP light error and u1000/1 codes that are to check those grounds anyway and related to the SLIP light on.
Easy peasy, great video. Those ABS sensors are very expensive and not need to replace it, if it ain't broken! What happened to the cluster panel on dash?
I didn’t watch the video lol…sorry. If its not engaging because ecm is not reading anything or no voltage. Maybe there’s short circuits your abs wire harness . Needs new or the sensor is dirty. It happens to all nissan trucks or suv. I subscribe your channel ❤
Exact symptoms on my truck, hope its just the wiring as well. Will update comment when I figure out what broke
Did it work out?
Thank you for the video my friend, I have the same issue with the ABS light. I will take a look at the harness in the morning.
You're so welcome Bill. Let me know if you have any questions. Btw, thanks for your feedback.
Yes thank you!

I have that problem brother, let me know, if you I control that problem, my 4x4 dont work
Very well presented and explained. Nice job.
Thank you kindly!
Did you cut the ABS and wire the two or did you have to wire off for back going into the wheel
My 07 titan makes same clicking noises from the dash.any idea what causes the clicking?

So I just got mine and on the little diagram the front wheels don't illuminate and the middle blinks but no other warning lights. What does that mean?

replace your front wheel hub bearings and problem solve
NICE VIDEO!

One of the display soldering joints doesn't make good connection.
@@PistonShack mine does the exact same thing. Maybe we could get a repair video for that in the future? It drives me crazy.
@@7Monkeyfish same mine does to and it bothers me lol
Good job
I tried;) Thanks Loki!
Whats the code reader you have?
Hey Acapla! I have BlueDriver OBD reader and Launch 431 V+

Everything is good on mine I just have the slip light that stays on
Same thing with mine, did you ever figured out what the problem was?
