My 4wd just went out as we just got our first snow of the season. I will be using this video as my guide. You are very good at explaining and showing your work. Well done sir.
So it was low oil in your front diff? My 4x4 chassis light is out with the SLIP light on. No issue with fuses or relays, no vdc switch on the truck, battery new, brake fluid max, abs sensors good, no idea how to fix?
mine goes in and says its in . i can hear the actuator doing its thing. i get no slip light or abs light ,i get nothing but it saying its in 4x4 ,but it doesn't fully engage and it makes noise when turning like the front hub isn't fully connecting.im driving the 2008 titan ..really wish it was an easy fix before winter

Driving with a flat tire is a bad idea. Glad it was only that and didn't require costly repairs.
It was pure insanity to keep driving!

I am glad I could help, buddy!
Awesome angles on this one!! Great filming.
I watched the whole video, very interesting. How did the axle fall out in the first place? From the initial flat tire and driving on it?
Thanks a lot!
We will find out pretty soon! I will let you know.
Interesting how that would pull apart.....I would of thought there would be a snap ring or something similar to prevent that
If axle will pop out again I will replace the diff and tear old one apart as well.
