I love how Jim is arguably one of the most famous people on the planet and he'd wander out onto stage in his comfy jumpers looking like a dad. There's no pretentiousness or fakeness. Love him.
As a kid, who grew up when Jim Henson when Jim Henson had already passed away, I never really had a face for the guy but I saw his name on many things related to his Muppet media be it the Muppets themselves, Sesame Street, or even movies like the Dark Crystal or the Labyrinth, there was a sense of this genius. I saw his work and saw what he did and how good it was. I placed these unconscious ideas of this person who was perfect and flawless. Seeing him in these interviews shows me the man was very humble and down to earth and just very much a human being. Perhaps this is why I like him now as a 34 year old adult. I had these unconscious ideas of who he was since I never saw him face must as a kid but as adult, I see he was truly a wonderful human being.
@@Barnaclebeard it was funny that a contestant on wheel said as a kid she once camped in the backyard and got scared and said "I thought I saw monster eyes inside, but it turned out to be the pat sajak show". Pat just flatly joked, a lot of people in America felt that way about my show.
I was born a year after Jim passed , so I've grown up with Steve Whitmire doing Kermit, thanks to Disney + I've been able to relive the Muppet show from the 70s and see the glorious work of this man , Jim isn't fake he doesn't try to be , I love how he just comes on these shows with a massive comfy jumper 😂
In terms of interviews, I think Pat is a decent interviewer, but I think he was trying to go into "darker" territory with his questions. Jim had little to work with in terms of answering Pat's questions with funny replies.
@@dwigamaniac Yea, both the daytime and syndicated versions at the same time. He stopped hosting the daytime network version of Wheel to host this talk show. The daytime version of Wheel of Fortune petered out when Pat left, it had become the lesser version of the two for some time. The syndicated version continues to this day.
Do you happen to have a clip of Jim on Johnny Carson with Dr. Teeth? I’ve been looking for it but haven’t found it. I would appreciate it if you uploaded it.
a bagel I saw a picture of Jim and Dr.Teeth on a talk show on Muppet Wiki and I thought it would be nice to see, I hope you find it... I bet you wish you had it too because Dr.Teeth is not the character you normally see with Jim in interviews.

Jim Henson had a skill that most people never master. How to keep the puppet alive when not saying anything at all
"Is this the kind of thing you wanna do all of your life, Jim? Puppeteering?" This was a year before he died.
The sad thing is he wanted to do it. But he'll never be able to.
He did it up 'til he died. He did it all of his life.
Sad that in a little over a year after this aired Jim would be gone :(
I’m not even joking you guys, but I just had a dream where Pat Sajak was on Sesame Street.
Wow, Jim visited all the shows back in the day, didnt he?
Never knew Pat Sajak had his own talk show. This was less than a month before I was born lol.
It was brief and derided.
I forgot he had his own show too

Look at how skinny he is here, in contrast to his appearance on Arsenio Hall 😭😭😭 He was SO humble 😮. RIP Jim Henson. Gone too soon. ☹️
Jim Henson played a great role in my childhood,he truly inspired me as an artist and creator, truly missed and never forgotten,so inspirational 🙌🏾

I am so grateful, that we had sooo much joy and laughter
with this sweet and beautiful person Jim.
Thank you, you lightened up our days❤❤❤
In 1999, Kermit the Frog and Gonzo appeared on Wheel of Fortune to promote the new movie, "Muppets from Space".
A true legend truly Kermit and Ernie
And Guy Smiley
And rowlf and Dr teeth as well
Also Waldorf and The Swedish Chef.
Lovely jim and kermit 🤗🤗🤗😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I remember Piggy dumping Kermit was going to lead into a new Muppet movie with Disney, but that didn't happen for about 20 years. 😔
Kermit's hilarious in this
Pat seemed to have pissed him off by the end.

Poor kermit
Why dont I remember
Pat Sajak later became a host in the Wheel of Fortune.
He is the host of the Wheel Of Fortune nighttime version since 1983
Why would they have a puppet Pat Sajak hosting sequel of fortune if this was before the show?
He was hosting Wheel, long before he had a talk show.

I don't, but I've actually been looking for it, too.
