If your on the fence about taking Eddies course GMM to really learn how to play. It'll be the best $47 you will spend. Whether your a newby or intermediate level player, It'll really help you learn faster.😎🤘🎸🌴
Dropped the well deserved $47 the other day & am ready to quit my $25 a week instructor because he misunderstood what I meant by fast tracking, he's not giving me anything to work with for the week. This course, in just the first module, which I basically knew already, brought me up to where I basically keep quitting in the past. Now I'm learning to solo & improvise but with an understanding of key which I was confused about. If you can commit to these simple lessons, you'll accelerate with both mind & hand together actually fast tracking you for less than 2 pro face to face lessons. In some cases, less than the cost of 1 lesson
@budgreene8142 Absolutely dump the $25 a week guy, you don't need him. I just completed the Master the Fretboard course. Its amazing. Put the time in and you'll be playing so much better. Enjoy 🤘😎🎸🌴
I may have said this before, but l really like guitar teachers that can get to the point and demonstrate as they teach, no 10 minutes of explanation and 4 minutes of instruction and then the video is over- you are EXCELLENT at teaching, keep up the good work!!!!Thanks
So it's basically the Pentatonic shape, but you broke it down for the beginners, I love that. This is what teaching should be, adapt to your students and break down every bit till they understand. Bravo man keep up the good work.
Dude. I’ve been banging on a guitar for years. My soloing has improved dramatically (read they finally exist beyond scales lol). Thanks for these tips. They’re crazy helpful.
Sometimes, if you're a beginner & have a clip on tuner, it will also confirm that you are hitting a G or an A. I actually don't do that but after watching this, for beginners, I thought that could possibly help you to the point of memorization. That tuner, if your guitar is setup well, should be able to register any note on the fretboard.
This is the video that I knew had to exist. I think the breathing really helps with the phrasing. I feel like my soloing has no intentionality. Can’t wait to try this.
A big thank you you have a way that turn the lights on and when my buddy's come over I show them it's just too damn cool thanks Eddie thanks for the book also
I guess depends on what connotation you see theory to when your using it or not I love how he references theory terms like “root note “ key “ chord and yet contradicts by saying it’s NOT theory
Is it a rule to start on the root note & end on it too? Do you just need to include the root note? It's my understanding, that you must start & or end on it. If someone can elaborate? Am I wrong in thinking as long as you start or end on the root note, you're in business, or do you start & end on it?
I had not played in front of my girl for a while I watched all your videos I feel like it's definitely leveled me up she said wow you have gotten good 😊
I’d say most often I do. No particular reason other than it’s high enough to hear clearly when clashing with a lower root note. Plus it can lead to a nice ascending lick!
I read the comments to see if it was just me struggling with yes, it's just me. Mind you I've been playing chords/power cords for years. I just don't get it this lesson. Everybody's comments state how easy this is. Not for me lol. This vid made me realize it's probably time for me to give up the dream lol. unless someone can recommend another lesson that is very very very slow. I just want to say it's not the teachers fault. I just dont get it. Should I find another hobby if I can not comprehend this easy lesson?
Appreciate your honesty here, first of all - no don't give up especially if you are enjoying playing and learning, this might not necessarily be THE lesson for you. There are many different ways and directions to get to a desired result on the guitar, hopefully we have a lesson that "clicks" with you better. Our goal is to help players like yourself become lead guitarists! If you have been playing chords and are more of an experienced Rhythm guitarist, we have a fantastic lesson that turns chords you already know into solos which helped tons of Rhythm guitarists, let me know how you find it, and feel free to reach out again and we will try help find THE lesson that makes that connection for you :) Here's the lesson i think that could help: th-cam.com/video/C5_TGzGraws/w-d-xo.html
@GuitarMasteryMethod hey, thanks for reaching out. The lesson you recommended definitely looks more my speed. I am looking forward to giving it a go tomorrow. Thanks again!
@@GuitarMasteryMethod perfect response. I've been struggling for about 2 years. I love the guitar but as for learning, I am very literal so sometimes get confused with phrases people use. Also I assist from aphantasia which basically means I have no "minds eye" to see things in my mind Gmail no creative imagination. If someone is just telling me stuff then I can learn it. If someone is demonstrating them I can learn to mimic, but when they do both, it breaks my little chimp brain! However, I keep plugging away and sometimes things just "click"! It's amazing when they do and I often sit there giggling to myself😂 Sick with it my friend, the juice is definitely worth the squeeze!

Awesome to hear! 🤘
You got me messed up. I’m praising everybody but the real one. You have taught me so much in the last two months.

finally a soloing video that isn't confusing. THANK YOU
Dude, thins kinda makes sense to me. Im not sure why, nothing in music ever does, but this kinda did. Awsome
The greatest compliment a teacher can hear!
I appreciate the practical, non-theory presentation. I suppose we eventually have to make friends with music theory. For now: Thank you!
Some of the most practical advice I've ever gotten.
Great to hear!
@@GuitarMasteryMethod I really would love lessons
Excellent presentation. Easy to follow. I played bass for years and now moving to electric guitar as a novice hobby player. Great for beginners.

This is so great!!!!! Thank you for providing guidance beyond just the notes being played. I love the breathing technique
Great lesson, thanks!
PLEASE Make another video like this with other chords!

Telee! Great lesson. Clapton has excellent timing.
Thank you so much for this lesson. This was a real eye opener for me 🤘🤘🤘
The solo demo in the key of G reminds me of the solo Tony Iomi does after the harmonica in the intro of The Wizard. 👍
Really good simple concepts that you highlighted for me, thank
Best lesson i followed on this Subject and it works out 🎉😊
This lesson opened the door for my music to start to soar. Succinctly said.

Mee😂😂
On classical here

Cheers Ray!
Love it! Great trick
This is magic and great for beginners like me lol😮
Seriously bravo 👏
😎🎸
Great tutorial
Omg this tension and release stuff just clicked and im starting to get it
It really elevates your solos, sometimes its the small and simple things "behind the fingers" that make the biggest differences!
Like to hear about major vs minor. This show parts of the pentatonic scale minor playing with a major chord. Like to see how you would find major.
Instant solo great !
🤘🤘
I’ve learnt more useful stuff in watching 5 mins of your content than in hours of other people’s
Ingenious!!!
🤘🤘
awesome !
You're awesome!
Great stuff
😎
Wow ❤
thanks
just let the note breath a little or short breath but the point it let it breath so you can hear it and it helps the ear 😊 ROCK ON

Howdy…. I’m new to this but it appears you’re playing the G minor pentatonic scale with the G major chord… do I have that right?
Its the G shape (as in CAGED) but he's playing that shape at the Am position
Yes thats blues - play minor pentatonic over same named Major chords.
@@nickjames_at_the_trajectory got it thanks!!
I had not played in front of my girl for a while I watched all your videos I feel like it's definitely leveled me up she said wow you have gotten good 😊
bot
New to guitar but he has a pedal going right? For the distortion sound. Or is this just like amp over drive to get that sound
solo over backing track to learn how to stay in key and on time. You will learn a ton from that
.....Mahalo😎
Bring it on home yea
COOL😀
😎

Eddie, are you technically playing G pentatonic pattern in Am and Gm?
Yes, they are pentatonic notes found within that pattern!
Cool, son
What brand tele are you using?
It’s a build by Ian Anderson of IA Guitars!
So do you always look for the note on the D string?
I’d say most often I do. No particular reason other than it’s high enough to hear clearly when clashing with a lower root note. Plus it can lead to a nice ascending lick!
Congratulations, you can now play "a Forest" by the Cure.
Why find the root note on D string?
Do I want to solo in 5 minutes flat....or 5 minutes sharp? OK, but seriously I never put this 6 note thing all together until now.

Check your spam folder! If it’s not in there, send a message to GMM support
I didn't hear the tension release
How is this not theory?
That said, great video!
Be better off actually taking joy in learning the intervals and theory application.
