@@NinecoreNeil it's very faint on mine and was fixed with a better strap. Also mine has a five piece neck where you can feel the grain, fishmans, and wheel truss rod adjust. So a few differences that I didn't notice right away. But definitely a great guitar.

@@RomanChugz hmmm the Schecter website would be correct I’d assume Not sure where I got my info from with it being an old video I can’t remember I had to send the guitar back it was the only model in the Uk at the time and was needed for guitar shows .
I have the Evil Twin-version that is a bit similar. Bought one used for $650 including a hardcase. Changed the pickups from Fishman Fluence Moderns to the FF Classics, just because I’m more into the early heavy metal style, Accept, Mercyful Fate, Priest, +++ A great backup for my white Gibson 1995 Flying V.
What a machine. From the very first chug, I was like... yep, there it is. Two of mine have EMGs and they do it too. My other guitars, as nice as they may be, don't do it. EMGs do it effortlessly. That's why I've used them for almost 30 years.
Neil, have you ever tried an EMG JH "Het" Set in any guitar, even a buddy's? I stuck them in a guitar that sounded a bit lifeless and now it is my go-to 6 string if I feel the need to sound huge. Bonus, the neck pickup is a beauty with a clean sound. My Het Set guitar is very different from my guitar with an 81 in every spec so I cannot personally do a good comparison. The 81 feels more mid heavy and capable of certain "grind" but the Het bridge pickup sounds like I have an extra cab plugged it. It's just a wall of crushing rhythm tone. I'm not qualified to speak on lead tones.

I have one of these in satin black. It's an amazing guitar. Little bit of neck dive but otherwise it's an incredible beast of an instrument.
