Not only do they look at his awesome new Schecter sig, but also check out the rest of Brownes mighty guitar rig, from his choice of Dunlop guitar pics and strings, through to amp rig - which features awesome Synergy Soldano preamps and Mesa Boogie Power amp!
Monuments guitarist John Browne is one of the most technically-proficient and creative metal players of the last decade. But with incredible ability, comes the need for an instrument that can keep up with his blistering picking pace and sophisticated fretting work. Schecter answered the call, co-designing a bespoke signature electric guitar packed with modern appointments and contemporary flair!
Scheter John Browne Signature TAO-6 Satin Transparent Purple Key Features:
    - 5-Piece Wenge/Padauk Neck - Layered construction improves strength for exceptional tuning stability, and even comes reinforced with carbon rods!
    - Bolt-On Construction with Ultra-Access Heel - Enables unrestricted access to the higher register, all the way up to the 24th fret.
    - Ebony Fretboard - Dark and silky material with an exquisite grain; adding brightness to the tonal mix.
    - 24 X-Jumbo Stainless Steel Frets - Large size offers a controllable feel for wide vibrato. Stainless steel material is corrosion-resistant and harder to wear down than conventional fret-wire.
    - Schecter USA Chaosbreaker/Colossus Humbuckers - Searing-hot pickups optimised for high-gain distortion, yet crystal-clear and vibrant with clean settings.
3-Position Pickup Lever Switch - Yields 3 sounds: bridge humbucker, neck humbucker and a blend of the two.
    - Push/Pull Volume Knob - Splits the humbuckers so that you can attain jangly single-coil tones too, providing 3 extra sounds for 6 in total!
    - Hipshot String-Through-Body Hardtail Bridge - Enhances sustain, with individual saddles allowing for precise action and intonation settings.
    - Hipshot Grip-Lock Tuners - Ingenious locking mechanism makes restringing easier and means less string winds around the tuning posts; resulting in better tuning stability.
    - Graph Tech XL Black TUSQ Nut - Low-friction material minimises unwanted tuning slips.

and of course they offer this awesome rift machine in a left-handed version kudos to schecter for thinking of us lefty’s , if I saw this before I ordered my Kiesel I probably would’ve got this one

Love them so much for it, I currently have a Schecter 8 string and I’m considering selling it so I can buy the 8 string John Browne model. Pretty much every other brand doesn’t care about us in the slightest but Schecter makes almost all their guitars left handed, so much respect to them for that!!

Am a lefty, looking for a (my first) 7-string, and became more motivated after the release of In Stasis. Was going to buy the Keith Merrow KM-7, then these released. My favorite colour is purple. It must be a sign.

The fact that he's used them in the studio for the last year and tracked the album with them says a lot.
He could have used anything he wanted and nobody would have ever known.

I love the fact that how intricate he is, paying attention to rhythm and melody. And the attack on the note, a man with truly a sense with hearing that is just amazing. He is so right about tone and things that just come across differently in the studio, or a live setup.. so awesome to hear people knowing what they’re talking about playing amps again because I’m a true believer in tone it’s just a feeling that you get when you’re playing with an amp and speakers.

The TAO seems to have taken notes from the KM series, SLS, and the Reaper models. Thats awesome.

Leprous live sound was the best I’ve seen in probably a decade. If they are having “problems” and sounding like that… damn. Monuments was a bit muddy, I could not really hear the guitar that well, it just drum pummeling all set, maybe they don’t have a sound guy or whatever, or maybe was just the room but I don’t think it was the room, Leprous sounded perfect.

Man the whole going on and on about digital gear is getting so old. The reality is that using something like a quad cortex, axe fx, or Kemper is going to save you money in shipping all that gear. 1 quad cortex can also do everything that Browne has mentioned here, with the footprint of a small pedal board. No one in the audience is going to hear any difference either. I’d love to drag a tube amp with me everywhere, but in an industry where you’re ripped off at every turn, it’s just not viable anymore these days.
