Played for 25ish years and nothing works better for me than an SG I have tried all types, shapes and sizes but like you say there are so many variables in play, I also prefer medium jumbo frets.

My hands are quite small as well, and I own various guitars, but my ltd ec with 24 frets and 24.5" scale is the easier/most confortable to play.

yeah i have the first version of that combo if you have everything set to noon the amp will sound scooped i couldn't figure out why my tone kinda sucked until i realized you have to turn up the mids another issue is if you turn off the amp while it is on the 2nd channel you won't hear that click you have to put it onto the first channel when shutting it off then you'll hear it yeap or else you'll get the speaker popping sound i've never been to find anything on the web on why that happens it is an awesome sounding amp once you realize you have to turn up the mids i paid $600 a couple years ago now it's what? $1000.00? nice vid thanks

My les Paul plays so much better to me than my strat

I’ve owned everything from Gibson, Fender, ESP, PRS etc.. 24.5 seems easier to play, but I feel it to be more of a preference related to string tension. I have small-medium hands. Huge palms, short fingers. I don’t struggle with 25.5, or nut width. Neck size does play a factor and action. I’ve always struggled with complex jazz chord shapes that stretch across the fret board, but speed and vibrato never a problem.

What’s the signal channel? Like is it straight amp or did you have to boost it.

Wgat about acoustics

This boost sounds good in the Stealth ! I have the same amp and a bunch of different boosts, I think they all sound good with the amp just different. Do you have a favorite with the Stealth ?

I went to playing the 5-string banjo, but fender- or ibanez narrow necks have been good too.

24 3/4" scale length " nut to the bridge saddles" 12" radius fret board, medium jumbo SS frets. A torrefied / roasted maple neck can solve alot of issues. Finding good fretwork and a straight neck on mass produced guitars is a major issue. You might find one good neck out of 20. or if the torrefied process is done to quickly you get issues. I'd never buy a guitar online period! They used to care about quality now it all about profit, makes no difference what the product is, i digress. Big inc. plan on your ignorance.

I have always played Strats but a couple years ago I decided I needed a Les Paul so I got a 50s Standard. WHOA the neck is fat. Thing is, having that bigger fat neck/fretboard it made me slow down and really focus more on my chords and chord progression. It actually made me a better player. I now use my Strat (American Standard) for lead/solo/shredding and go to the fat Les Paul Standard for drop D chords and rythm.

Hello Neil, The other guitarists in my band uses the EVH 5150 half stack with a boost, I play my Blackstar stage Ht 60 combo MKiii with a sparks mini for a boost , long story short Blackstar always prevails !!! 😂😂🤘🤘🤘

These without question are the best "lunchbox" amps ever. Soldano and PRS come oh so close, but the EVH LBX series whoops them all 🤟

I’ve never been a fan of wizard necks. They seem to cause me thumb pain. In general, Gibson necks suit me best, though I’m also very comfortable on Strats. Nice to see someone out there trying to help us baby-handed folk 😂🤘🏻

Either guitar is fine, neither alone will make you a better player. Practice enough, you can make both expensive and cheap guitars sound great. The audience will never know the difference, in tone or the price of the guitar. Most of them would guess "the blue guitar" to be more expensive. Other guitar players know, but they don't judge, they've all been where you are. Just go for it with whatever you got!

They all sound phenomenal I liked all three but the 50S had some more mid aggression or something lol It would be hard choice to make but man that wall of EVH heads is a dream for me! The lunchbox head is very impressive I really liked that one too. The EL34 was awesome too but you could hear the difference between the 50s and the EL34 like the 50s was a little more forward and brighter. Freaking awesome couldn’t go wrong with either of those three.Great demo bud🤟🏻

I would recommend Charvel Desolation series, the DC or DS range. The weight, neck and access make these the easiest guitars to play with small hands

I find Ibanez fretboards to be too wide. Some Kramers and EVH have 42 nuts

The emulated out sounds great! I suppose this set up would sound a little different with a different distortion pedal. I have the Wampler Plexi-Drive Deluxe.

I really didn't hear anything on volume control play it live to see if I can hear anything at the end of it I started hearing some volume control sound of pretty good

I have a first version ID Core stereo 40 that I bought used a few years ago. and love it. My V-1 has all the original controls and built in effects of it's line without the new additions which i don't really need anyway. when i plug in my Stellarcaster. with it's 3 quad rail/coil HB's wired like a 50's Les Paul with coil splits it sounds out or this world. I can get even more out of it when i plug in from the headphone out of the amp into the CD input of my surround sound receiver for deeper tones with the subwoofer and the rest of the surround speakers.. I plan to add a pair of switched 1/4" extension speaker jacks in the speaker circuit to drive a pair of 4X12" ported tower speaker cabs I will build for it. these cabs will have buitl it mini stereo amp boards with power supplies. more power is more better right. I'm Gen X, a child of the 60's so I like it loud and proud.

How do the bass amp models sound clean?

Hi Neil. I must admire your guitar techniques and your Beautiful schecter and Dean models , often though guitars are like Beautiful Women 😅. Anyway could you Demo us a Hi gain rock patch next time with a Good HG amp and cab with some delays and Reverbs with a dash of chorus. I'll probably get one . Just tried a Head Rush I couldn't get a decent sound out of it. Thanks 👍 Best regards. John.

The 6505+ is balls tight, no boost needed. I like the OG 6505 but the added clean headroom and brighter gain tones have me sold.

Same here. I’m thinking after years of different guitars and rigs …there’s a special combo of the right “eq”? The fret work, neck and action that works with your hands
