see my comments above. Woman shot son in the large 3-story apartment building spanning Francisco & Lakeside in the Brighton Beach neighborhood. Around 8 AM, police shot woman 6 times with a pause between 5th and 6th shot. She died on the spot. Son lives to regret the incident. Police trying to figure out what went wrong.

Better reporting than FOX! We had a great police chief for quite a while in Pacifica, who recently retired. The new chief must take responsibility for this tragedy. Why do they shoot to kill? At around 8 AM, i clearly heard 6 shots: 5 shots consecutively with a short pause before the 6th and final shot, which was probably the fatal shot. Overkill, I'd say. And what about the children in the area, walking to school. Very irresponsible! Very stupid!
