Ok let me get this straight. They are in a semi, have a shootout with police in or near Amarillo. Police only find 64 pounds of product in the truck? Not making sense. Too little product for too big a risk. I’m betting that the majority of the product was offloaded into several SUV’s and they were dropping off the 64 pounds to a “personal friend of a cartel member “ as a favor and before they had opportunity Texas law enforcement caught up with them. Had they not had the 64 pounds on them then they would have had no problem with the Texas cops but more importantly they wouldn’t have had to worry about DOT on the trip back to Tennessee where they would probably have met back up with several SUV’s. Just a thought because 64 pounds in a semi going from Texas to Tennessee MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE WHATSOEVER
You didn't hear that those 64 pounds were worth $3 million? Drug smugglers do not fill the vehicle up front to back, floor to ceiling with drugs. They hide a package or two in a secret compartment or in the case of a semi, hidden in the middle or the very front of a huge otherwise legitimate shipment so that there's almost no chance of it being found. If 64 pounds is worth $3 million, then a whole semi at legal weight would be over $2 billion.

They were trying to stop...a big rig
It DOES say BOTH of them also shot at police.
@@randallsmerna384 "It" as in the news story, which is completely the word of the police. All of it. Except for what little we saw on video, we don't really know what happened here and probably never will.

They left their meth at home?
They had a small amount on their person for personal use
That's meth'd up
That's how you know this is bs..no trucker leaves their meth at home
They were meth preppers getting ready for "the great reset."
That was just their WW-3 battle pack. 4 Slim Jims & a pounder. 😂
Trying to stop drugs getting in the country is like trying to heard cats.
Anyone know if that Kenworth is for sale yet?
IMPOUNDED FOR PROFIT TO COPS
The cartel would've dealt with the couple even harsher for having lost that much coke.
How do you know that s--t wasn't paid for? Everybody's not a broke dk! Since guessing ,cartel could've tipped off.
That's a big truck for that small amount of 'product'
They were probably trying to hide it with normal goods being transported.
That’s the point dummy, easier to hide in the regular cargo 😂
What, you were expecting the whole truck to be filled with drugs?
$3 million worth of product isn't enough for one trip?
So... How many movies and TV crime series did you watch to learn about how drug smuggling works?.😂
They were the crash dummies while 1000s of pounds were being transported in 18 wheelers up the road I promise 😂 they let the lil 63 kilos go thru so they can move 63,000 kilos while they are distracted they were the distraction
I am sure it was hidden in other stuff.
Couple: "We'll die before we surrender". Police: "That can be arranged".
That did not look like an arsenal
Only in Texas could you get away with wearing that sport coat
Nah, Ron Burgundy wore his with pride in San Diego…
Floridians might not agree.
He's in Tennessee
Surplus suits from Cleveland Ohio.🤣🤣🤣
Gregg abbot and the gop texas cabal wouldn't allow it cause it's too LGBT

Modern day Bonnie and Clyde they weren't getting taken alive and I can't blame them. They are protecting the rat by saying it was a suspicious neighbor
Taxpayers saved a lot of money.
not on cocaine
That coke was tax free though
well agreed but they could have waited until they sold the cocaine and then used the money to lower taxes and help the community.
taxpayers were very much at danger when this reckless option was taken
Taxpayers lost a lot of money on a pointless and harmful drug war.
Those cops party for a few days after this.
the “war on drugs” is stupid.
💯
Was it really worth shooting it out with police? It wasnt like they were gonna get life sentences for that. Probably 5 years at most these days.
Well, then there's the cartel that they'll have to deal with...in or out.
Oh well. And by the way that isn't a "arsenal", its really not much at all!
Well walking around the capital is an insurrection........
WKRN gun propaganda. The photo they showed was not an "arsenal" as WKRN stated. "Tactical Vests" are not illegal. Lots of folks in Tenn have more firearms than shown in the "arsenal". Don't get me wrong the dead couple seem to be criminals but that doesn't make their gun collection an "arsenal".
"64 pounds of cocaine...the forest equivalent of three bears..."
The real crime is the guy wearing that crazy color coat lol.
I don't believe it was a tip
That cop looks as much of a criminal as anybody I've seen!

That is far from an “arsenal” of weapons
Awesome Story. It's a shame how the national media is silent about this incident.
Citizens solving crimes as per usual...
So instead of just lying low following the truck and busting the dealer that this shit was going to and the couple 🤫
They had rammed several cars at this point, they had to stop them

@@terryowen6759 NObody just goes bat shit and starts ramming cars. The cops probably were being super aggressive after hearing about the HUGE "Arsenal" and the "tip" of how they would suicide by cop. Then they started running. So, @Scottybravo1 was correct in his assessment and question. Same in car chases. Why chase? Just follow... and bust later.
@@terryowen6759 because the cops shot out several tires making it harder to steer.
I rewatched the video, apparently they hit the cars during the chase but I doubt it was because of steering, probably speed and the size of the vehicle@@robertsmith2956

Ramming families in cars on the highway? Not a fan.

What a nice story to cover up two informants and make the cartels think they are dead.
Ohhhhhhh I never thought of that
It does seem odd that they have video of the chase, and cops shooting out their tires, but no video of the actual "shoot out" that left these two dead. Yeah. They'll end up in WIT-SEC in some tiny no-name town in Vermont.
