TD! I have been looking for solid sales content for years. You are the only person i've found with different and great info. Everyone else is vague, says shit you already should know, or is just a clown like you say. i have been doing the "How are you" forever. it works. But your hook about following up from a previous email is genius. Do you still use that? I am about to get back to celling next week because ive had a full calendar from follow up meeting etc.
Trent! Your videos were SO helpful to meet when I was kicking off my BDR journey ➡ now I'm in the marketing space, but learning these basics is KEY to knowing how to run discovery on your audience as a marketing content creator. Wish you the best in the new year!
Great and Awesome content my brother from another mother !!! I'm that much closer to finishing my Course Fam, I had a short setback because I had Co-Vid and a temperature of 104 for 9 days but I don't have time to be sick... I've got goals set and people to help and lives to change and a brand new grandson !!! As always, sending your way much love, respect, support and blessings King... The T & T or TNT Show... TRENT AND TRENT... Just a thought, me being silly... 😁💯💪♥️🤙😎🔥🙏
The 30 second permission based question doesn’t come across like a gimmick if you don’t make it sound that way… I’ve used that line and others and booked and closed sales… tonality plays a big part in how prospects react to your opening
S/O to you for the advice. Hey man I m in my first week as a sellers. I do cold calling to sell payments terminal that take credit card. Got 1 sales. Would like to know what script would you use.
Hi Knock Knock✊ Cold calling still works but with strategy and its crucial to monitor your sales team progress. Why not consider a mobile app to effectively track and monitor their cold calls? Let's discuss
So it seems that everyone has their own selling style which makes sense. How would you go about partaking in a mock cold call for an SDR role? Assuming you get some good information on the fake company to prepare with and expecting some common objections.
Learn about the product and keep the mock call simple, not there to close, just set another meeting. I'm down to role play with you if you want coaching - calendly.com/trentdressel/coaching-with-trent-dressel-30m
Hi Trent, how when you barely get to introduce yourself and they just hang up... No objections or anything, just hang up and that's it. I haven't had much success beyond "(my name) from xxx"
Trent do you have any advice for landing an SDR role outside of your home state? I'm in Florida and there isnt a ton of tech sales jobs here and the 5-6 companies I have gotten interviews for, I dont make it past the first round since im not a local. Ive told the hiring mangers I am more than wiling to relocate at my expense.
@@TrentDressel Yea i do disclose that i would move at my own expense, but some still prefer local. I guess they view me as a risk because id have to move
I think these days its better to let your clients know that its a cold call right from the beginning. It shows transparency and sincerity which alot of people want
directly addressing them by their name isnt that casual? i mean you can be semiformal thats fine i think, but at the end of the day they are a customer so we dont know how they are gonna react thats why asking, one thing which i was wrong at was that can i have 5 minutes, thanks for that
I respectfully disagree with you. When a telemarketer starts of with "hey" I am immediately on defense. And when they ask "how are you" I begin to tune out and end the call. Do you really want to know how I am? I prefer the clown approach that you mentioned.
It’s a little bit confusing when a lot of people advise you to use the “this is a cold call” and other people says it’s bad. Or “how are you doing today?” So many opposing lessons
Well done! Hate that nonsense permission based opener - it works for an incredibly small sample size of people and it's generally because they have a specific accent alien to the domestic market or they're simply BSing
Agree on the assumption you are speaking to the actually prospect...but what if the guy's name is "Jake" but a woman answers the phone? Obviously if you say "Hey Jake" and go into your pitch, you are behaving like an idiot lol.
Why you always try and ask how are you when you never spoke with this person, are you going to call them for Christmas again to say hi?😂 Can't you just go straight to the point instead?
Whether you believe you can or you can’t, you’re right
Did you get that from DDPY?
Also great video and advise

Please time stamp this video thank you
Getting ready to start my first full time role in less than two weeks. I can’t wait to use these tips. Great content as always Trent.
you will crush it
Hey man, hope you’re killing it now 😄
after a year how is it going? I just started on this role, never done cold calling
this is the best cold call advice channel on TH-cam and I hope channel keeps growing subscribers

I still use it, also, "how have you been" works well too. Blow up your calendar
@@TrentDressel I am going to use it. I'll let you know. Do you ever use email?
Love your passion for sales.

Great tips for top success in cold calling!
being an sdr for 5 months i set my first outbound meeting through a cold call last week.
🔥🔥🔥 great job!
How much meeting did you set in the past 5 months?
@@rogerslogan34 35 but they came from some sort of campaign so it wasn’t a full fledge outbound.

Amazing video. This deserves 10x the views.

My favorite video can you please make one on how to get passed a difficult gate keeper 🙏 please.
yes I will
What if you do not know their name? How should you ask them for it and when should you ask them for their names?
Then don’t call them
So it seems that everyone has their own selling style which makes sense. How would you go about partaking in a mock cold call for an SDR role? Assuming you get some good information on the fake company to prepare with and expecting some common objections.

how do you get that type of energy and confidence? I am strugling to book meetings

amazing video thank you bro
I fundamentally disagree with everything he says. "can i take 20 seconds from your day" works so well
You are not there to take, the goal is to give
THIS IS GOLD!
pumped to hear

apply to those companies, network with them on LinkedIn, & be willing to move

You need to come work at my company! You would be a great asset to them and I believe you would be very successful there!

Today
Me:"is customer and employee experience important to you?"
Prospect:" well thats kind of a stupid question isnt it?"
More surveys are always the answer
@TrentDressel I just switched it up and say it as if I'm assuming instead of asking, and it actually works great.
Can you make pdf scripts for it?
you can find what you are looking for here: softwaresalesguide.com/software-sales-guide/p/the-ultimate-cold-calling-strategy-script-for-b2b-sales
I've been doing sales for 12 years and this opener rarely worked for me in that tonality.
You know the game
excellent vid .
Thank you
I like the calling out of some of the clown lines out there.
Have to
It’s a little bit confusing when a lot of people advise you to use the “this is a cold call” and other people says it’s bad. Or “how are you doing today?” So many opposing lessons
Hello sir can I edit your video professionally and design tumbnil attractive
Hahahaha. It's like UK's Best Cold Caller's exact opposite. The question you have to ask is why do both ways work?
your eyes look ginormous because of the glasses lol
Please time stamp this video
Instead of saying, hey i am XXX from XYZ, can i say, hey, i am XXX, i represent XYZ ?
Jake from Statefarm - it flows and that's why I do it
You assume right person on the line. This is my name from company the reason I am calling is because.
so "are you gonna hang up" is gimmicky but "is making sales important to you" is not? lmao
60,000 calls
I think God
something is good
because no one the money

Question for the people
I see no one
Bro needs to get some furniture.
still no furniture
I like people help me
because no one
Iam be honest

Hey there I was looking to speak to Jake, can you help? If it's the receptionist, go right into the pitch
Please look at your second camera if you're going to use 2, you kinda just look weird talking off to nobody.
Why you always try and ask how are you when you never spoke with this person, are you going to call them for Christmas again to say hi?😂
