You should match the metal zone and make it sound better, I'd bet that in the end it will sound nothing like it! 😆 And since you were comparing the similarities on the look of internal components of Bias' pedals and physical pedals, this gave me an idea. What if Positive Grid created a feature where after you'd match your pedal and modified the components inside it in Bias, you'd be able to print schematics of your pedal in Bias and it would tell you which components to use. That way, when you go get your real pedal modified, you'd be able to give the schematics to the electrician and he/she would already know what to do. That would be pretty cool! 😊

I have FX desktop. I've seen nothing but PG stuff from Fluff, PG stuff from Glenn Fricker, Jared Dines, and now you, since I got it.

DS-1 matched didn't really match all that well - there's a quite important loss of high end there.
+Mario Krušelj When matching the pedal the software gives the option to tweak the EQ to get it just right, so you can factor that back in.
I didn't show how the software sounded before the match, which was probably a bad idea as it would have been a good reference to see how close it did actually get.
Hey Colin, long time viewer first time commenter. I wanted to ask you about scooped, "saturated" guitar sound you have expressed your distaste for. You know the one, from bands such as Metallica, Anthrax and Pantera. I love these guitar tones and very much so enjoy playing in a setup involving: scooped mids + EMG pickups (het set however) + cheap digitech "death metal" distortion pedal. I wanted to ask what exactly what it is you don't like about this sound. I enjoy this sound immensely as it gets me sounds very close to: 'AJFA', 'master of puppets' and 'far beyond driven' (maybe appropriately titled album, not sure). I know you have talked about this in previous videos like your EMG rant and: how NOT to dial in an amp, but a response to this would be greatly appreciated even if it just turns out we have different tastes and tone is a subjective thing. love what you do, thanks for being you.

I think this is the 200th video that I've seen of this software. To me, it always sounds somewhat inferior to the real deal, but I suppose it must be useful for practicing. Do you need anything special to plug your guitar in?
+ShinyPants Everyone says it sounds very good but it always sound very fake. I suspect the reviewers are just being bought. So far i have heard maybe 2 videos where bias sounded close enough to real pedals.

Nobody gonna mention how the Matched version sucked the life out of the tone? It went very dull.
I wonder, how do these add-ons deal with pinch or touch harmonics if your inputting a clean signal? Also, does this work standalone without Bias FX? Keep up the informative videos!

Am I going crazy regarding the Bias Pedal? There is a 9v Negative tip input on it but it does not accept a standard 9v negative tip 2.1mm as used on most pedals like Boss etc... I did not get a unique 9v power Supply in the box except for the Giant Square US, Europe, UK one that only connects to a USB cable? Since the input jack for power will not accept a standard tip 2.1mm like Boss etc.. what are you supposed to do? Really seems crazy not to use the same jack type as almost all other pedals so it can easily be placed on a pedal board if desired. Please help and thanks!
Barry Steindel I too didn't receive the power adapter with my purchase of this pedal but just like you got that Universal Cube nonsense that does literally nothing if you don't have the power adapter for it. just awesome to receive something like that and it not come the power adapter isn't it? I know I'm still thrilled about it.
Worst customer service I have had in a little while. They passed the buck on me but since I am a designer of circuits for guitar pedals as a living I realized their mistake was a production Snafu. They used a 2.5mm jack on their box but the industry standard as we all know is 2.1mm. So anyway I suggested they make an adapter. Months ago. I already made one but it should not have been up to me. Make sure you use 9v negative tip or it will be a problem and will not work. Huge disappointment being told in an email to use the tiny C type phone plug to USB in the back of the unit to power it since the slightest bump would knock it right out of the unit. Rubbish service for such an expensive piece. Needless to say my reviews have been pointing this Snafu out and I will not endorse. Imagine if something worse went wrong??
