1:16 I feel bad for Moe he doesn't seem like a bad guy, he's just lonely and wants someone in his life.
Im pretty Sure thats why He Opener the bar. So he could Talk to someone.
It's because of his big ears.
He seems great with kids but doesn't tolerate stupid adults, but yea I agree with Dany that he opened the bar to have interaction with people.
I am a real life version of Moe.
He is a bad guy, he keeps a killer whale in the backroom of the bar.
“And then they realize they were no longer little girls...... they were Little Women” 😢 😭
"And then he realised they were not booing. They were saying 'Boo-urns'."😢
I genuinely thought that this was actually how the book ended for years.
@@emSeq How does it end?
@@donaldpump3072 I wouldn't want to spoil it. Let's just say it involves a runaway train and a vat of boiling molasses.
I love how Moe pretends to not care about people and then secretly goes reading classics.
That's the essence of Moe's character. Deep down, he has a heart of gold, but fights to repress it for some reason. A really funny inversion of the idea that someone lauded for good works has 'skeletons in the closet'.
@@bludbruva yeah, not to mention the diaper jokes that started coming all the time when Joe changed to his loathing self pity character, plus he thought that everyone, including Peter, wore a "poop sack". With earlier Joe, the show made it clear that he was previously not just a normal adult, but a tough efficient cop, who obviously knew that normal adults don't wear diapers
@@kisbie Moe didn't so much fight to repress it as he fought to hide it from everyone he knew, outside of the hospital and the homeless shelter he helped out at. It was his tough as nails image he was desperate to keep. But he definitely did not repress his sensitive empathetic side once in the hospital ward and the shelter
Dat's da joke
Thanks for spelling that out there Chief, I was having problems following what was going on 🤤
Little thin man accused in robbery
I was waiting for someone to point that out😂
You saw that too? Lmao
LMAO!!!
Can somebody explain? I don't get it
So.... Mr.Burns? Not yet it of character but why?
The good old simpsons. Every moment is funny , the whole episode is a masterpiece in comedy and sometimes drama too.
yep. It was 'cant miss tv ' in the early 90's
@@daveyboy_ Lis, when you get a little older, you'll realize that Friday is just another day between NBC's Must-See Thursday and CBS's Saturday night Crap-o-Rama.

Yoster Schnauss @ me commie fuck
Micky OSully has shieet for brainz
Remember when Moe had hidden depth?
Moe reading to children weirdly seems in character since Moe's entire purpose as a character is to be Jack of all Trades and be interested in all sorts of different activities most people wouldn't tend to think at 1st glance.
@@KnightofFunnyJunk Yes but mostly they skewed toward 'criminal'. Here they found some heart.
@@onlythequestion
Ye true, I found it hilarious in the episode when Homers crayon needed to be reinserted that Moe was an unregistered surgeon 😂😂
He'll never have as much depth as that fancy store bought dirt which is loaded with nutrients
Actually, he still does. King Leer introduced Moe’s family and established him as the white sheep of his family of backstabbing mattress salesmen.
“Uncle homer” aww
Sakriya Stha Baral uncle Sri Lanka
Brace Pobo ?
@@TehPobo wat
That "muffled by your own butt" threat actually got me out of a potential bar fight.
Uh, based? :D
I am interested in how that went
yea it sounds pretty grim lol
"Thats all well and good for sheep, but what are we to do?"
Thats subtle and genius.
Really good writing
Underrated joke and comment.
I don't get it
@@mlalbaitero Not sure if my analysis is absolutely correct but the way I understood it is that it's making use of the double meaning of sheep (blindly following like sheep), suggesting he doesn't realize he's a sheep as well, just in a different sense.
Wouldn't have caught the joke without the comment though.
Yeah and the boys look so uncomfortable at their conundrum lol
Moe reads to kids? I guess that ties in to a later season where we find out he wrote a few children’s books
Better continuity then in other shows.
He's read the entire Sweet Valley High series
He has a heart. He's just rough around the edges but deep down he's a good guy.
@@barbiquearea Yah, he's a generally good guy that just wants others to care he exists.
@rezdout Yeah I remember that. Rather than use that contraption to annoy people like the Fan Man.
They’re rare but I love moments when they make Moe out to be more that a piece of crap
"I've done stuff I ain't proud of, and the stuff I am proud of is disgusting." -Moe
One of the best Simpsons endings is when Moe flies off in the fan-man contraption and the credits sequences shows Moe helping people around the world.
To be fair, Moe's no great man, like Bob Seger, or Haystacks Calhoun.
It's one of those, I can do good but maybe I've done so much bad it just doesnt register with others possibly even me.
I mean the man use to punch people with a barbed wire boxing glove.
This 2 minute clip from the golden era of Simpsons has more jokes than the last 10 years of episodes.
Joy Orbison Wow, such an original comment...
Mika de Grote yeah I realised that when I read the comments afterwards man.
You couldn't be more right. The show just completely changed their team of writers after the 7th or 8th season. The first inferior season was season 9, which had the awful Skinner is an imposter episode. A concept that the new team didn't understand, if it ain't broke, don't fix it
@@alvexok5523ah another 1to9er
For those wondering, that’s not how Little Women ends.
How does it end?
@@drowldr no it’s not, look it up
@@joshuaferguson698 Oh, sorry. I was mistaken.
Benjamin Pickles Fuck u Ben
It's not only that the book doesn't end like that, but (if I remember correctly) that line doesn't occur anywhere in the book. But it is still a funny scene.
"I want you to get to know my family"
*scene cuts to homer taking Ned to moes*
LMAO 🤣🤣🤣
The comic timing is gold.
"Helter Shelter" lmfao
True genius even in the smallest details. Amazing
"And then, they realized that they were no longer cheering for Bret Hart.
*They were cheering for Stone Cold* "
"And that's the bottom line... *SNIFF* ...cuz Stone Cold said so!!!"
And then they realized the main event wasn't the match they loved. It was Psycho Sid vs. The Undertaker.... 😭
'Little Thin Man Accused in Robbery' might be my second favourite Simpsons headline joke after 'Dick Cavett Born'.
remember when I saw this episode for the first time...burst out laughing when Homer show up in that green and orange sportcoat:D
Also nee trousers
Moe broke my heart in this episode tbh
What does tbh mean? Teach meeeeee :D
@@robertoenriquechavezrodrig731 I believe it means to be honest. I could be wring, but that's my interpretation.
@@kerriethompson2073 You are correct. It stands for "To Be Honest".
When you use acronyms you ensure less than 100% of your audience understands you.
Thank you guys :)
Peace from Russia and happy holidays.
I'd seriously listen to any audio book read by Moe.
With AI text to speech, we can now make that happen

but... I... allright
They also did that Smell joke pony episode .Pet owner also smell homer as well.
Ha ha, I love how the bums are hanging on to his every word. LOL
Helter Shelter is so funny
Moe reading to sick children and homeless makes it even more painful to see how badly writers treat him.
Moe is a jerk with a heart of gold.
"Big fat man has big fat heart." Oh my God, it's so simple yet hilarious. 😀

I constantly quote, “That’s all well and good for sheep, but what are we to do”.
“Ned, since you’ve let me spend time with your family, I want you to get to know MY family.”
*Hard cut to Moe’s*
Classic Simpsons really knew how to perfect the balance between comedy and seriousness
Big fat man has big fat heart laughing 😂
It's great and all but I still help but think about how that line is uttered nowhere in Little Women. I haven't read My Friend Flicka but I'm pretty sure that's not the last line either lol
1:13 And Truly she was my friend.... Freka.
1:52 And then they Realized.... they were no longer little girls.... they were Women!
718Kipkila I'm pretty sure it's 'Flicka' ;)
And also too, little women.
This show was gold in the early years. "Helter Shelter" is such a great one-off gag.
"...and we'll do what we can about the smell."
Flanders and Smithers are like the perfect behaved men
Except for Moe's, you know, occasional violent outbursts
@@lionelhutz5137 Who said anything about Moe?
@@PANZERFAUST90 LOL my mistake
@@lionelhutz5137 You're a terrible lawyer....
Both have severely repressed feelings towards the people around them. Flanders hates just about everybody in town but religion keeps him from calling everyone out. Smithers just lives to serve his crush Mr. Burns and escapes through his dolls.

That “Little Women” part at the end better be in the new movie

Truth be told homer was doing a better job doling out soup. The people are hungry, ned, get a move on
Why is Homer dressed like Doug Stanhope?
Doug's real clothes mostly come from homeless shelters too lol

janosrock Shit I must have Alzheimer's... cuz I don't remember asking
Ahhhh these old episodes are golden... legendary even.
I wish The Simpsons would have just ended gracefully 20 years ago
Simpsons used to be such a funny and well structured show
Its nice to see that Moe has a lighter side never judge a book by his cover even though hes ugly from the outside his beautiful from inside.
Golden era Simpsons, always funny
20 mins of quality every episode back then
I love moe. I lose my shit every time hes on the screen
Moe deep down inside is a sweet wholesome and pure person who cares for others, but he puts on a gruff exterior to keep his facade going lol.
"Big fat man has big fat heart"
"Little thin man accused in robbery"
😂
Tip: Always watch a 90's Simpsons episode before you sleep.
How did Moe go from secretly reading to sick kids and the homeless to committing outrageous crimes in his bar to wanting to kill himself all the time? Pick one and stick with it, Simpsons writers.
How are the two mutually exclusive? He has lived a troubled life and shady dealings are how he knows how to survive best. As for K-ing himself (Sorry, pretty sure that would get censored in my region, if I wrote it), it shows how depressed he is. Reading to the homeless and children showcase his deep feelings, and the fact that he cries at the and accentuates his inner sorrow, which comes out in response to sentimental stories. Anyway, his outwardly persona is a gruff, tough guy, and this more gentle part of him is one he's embarrassed about, so it doesn't come up normally.
BIG FAT MAN HAS BIG FAT HEART
LITTLE THIN MAN ACCUSED IN ROBBERY
Just realised none of the books Moe was reading actually contained such quotes, he's just namedropping the title of the books! Does that mean Moe is making things up on the spot when he reads to the children and homeless? 🤔
Pairing this with the fan back pack clips. He's a damn saint
Syndicate vest
Moe is a good person that has a tough exterior because of the stuff he’s endured in life
We all know a Moe in our lives and in attention to them we must be empathetic and kind.
The plaid sport coat killed me!
Man this brought back so many memories. The animation style and sound quality just makes it to Nostalgic and reminds me of more simpler times 🥲😪
He pays (we know he pays for it) for cable just to have it all blocked.
Wait a second your the man at the hospital who reads to sick children
Theory: Moe is illiterate and just improvising the whole book, which is why what he reads doesn't match the actual text.
