This is just real life
And the lyrics are just screams
Hey Nik!! Super glad you watched my shitpost 😭
This is just a fantasy~
NIKK
Caught in a landslide~
It went from "we can't hear the bassist" to "we can't hear the guitarist"
Guess what’s next 😂
We can't hear anything (because we're deaf)
We can't here (because it's too loud)
We can’t (I shit myself)
We can (not hear)
As a drummer I can confirm we hit drums with our heads
What about hienz beans?
Yep! It's true.
it's just the most efficient way
I mean, it's all the percussionists at my school do on a rest of any sort
i can imagine you have some "fun playing" with the drums aswell
Bro this actually hits really hard, although I do feel bad for drummers having to do all those complex prog type beats nowadays 😔…
nah bro's having a great time just look at him
Support your local drummers 🫡
Nah that shit's fun as hell. I prefer playing complex rhythms and a good portion of other drummers do too. It's a question of how cleanly you play them.
Fr, I just started some drumming like maybe 9 months ago and yes it is very fun playing more complex beats but it does take a lot of talent that I have just slightly reached so far 💀
yeah my drummer always give me shit on the guitar for me not coming up with complex enough time signature changes LOL
the drummer gave up his human form and turned into a drawing, to be able to perform on a higher level then a normal person. we thank this man for his sacrefice.
Edit:
Me: "Hey god I'm doing this thing I'm really passionate about, can people pls notice?"
God: "No."
Also god: "Member that thing you did on a whim? That shit be bussin."
But still thanks for the likes on this :)
This made me cry
Bro basically said, " I found this human form limiting it must be shed at once," and it went crazy.
yeah and? so what if I did
@@RedYellowBird6889 “From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me.”
Yes indeed. He became a vtuber. A metal vtuber. Ive seen it happen.
I still think the guitarist is putting in too much effort 😂
Extremely technical 🥵
Metal guitarist when there's a solo coming up: *Super Saiyan mode*
Yes, I noticed down AND up strokes..
Up strokes?
This isn't jazz buddy...
Found the guitarist, lol
>dude these drums require enormous talent!
>drags a midi clip from the ezdrummer library to the daw timeline and adjusts it a little bit
enormous talent to hit that hard and record then mix like that, that is.
if you're really fancy, you will edit velocities of every single drum hit.
gaaawd how I hate this procedure
Not quite my tempo, but it's all good.
@@supremeghost7950were they rushing or dragging🤔🤔🤔🤔????
@@alrecks619 Samples are a thing -- but thank you for at least acknowledging that mixing is a legitimate skill.
I love that this was making a bit of fun of modern metal, and 80% of the comments are like, "This does sound incredible" and "Can we get the full song?" 😄
I did make fun of modern metal but I put a lot of effort to it because I LOVE MODERN METAL SO MUCH
@@YangJinHyun That's why the best people to make fun of something are the people that care about it the most. They know how to hit it where it hurts lmao. Like when I saw some videos making fun of old-school metalcore kids and I was like "hahaha yeah that me but like .... can this be a full song?". Also, "Bad Guy" from Anthony Vincent with Jared Dines (Bad Guy - Billy Eilish in the style of Breaking Benjamin) is an amazing example of making fun of something while also making it sound amazing.
That’s the beauty of liking and critiquing things at the same time. I know, an extremely foreign concept to how most people think nowadays!
So there is a full song then?
Now I want full song fr
Honestly, the animation for the drummer is pretty smooth.
Check the original creator! @PoorDesign
It’s not accurate
@@damiendenton3235 No one said it was buddy
I just went to a concert where 2 out of 3 opening bands were like this lol
I can tell you are living in a modern society 😂
The Mastodont-Gojira event? jejeje
Hell, rap concerts I go to with my GF open with screaming and distorted 808's shaking the whole damn building
@@hadookin47 I've been to a couple and rap is easily the worst to watch live...It's all backing track, the performer is really just his own hype man...80% him holding the mic to the crowd, show lasts almost no time...Fuck rap concerts.
@tomsnowden6201 yeah thats what I was afraid rap shows would be like lol like at that point just hire a dj
production goes a long way folks!
Seems like it's everything these days 🧐
If you can't just play on the spot with a real set or an amp, you can't really play.
@@Trahzymost modern metal guitarists can do that easily. they just choose not to
@@queefmasterr Keep telling yourself that buddy lol
OMG IT'S RAW DAWZ I LOVE THE DOOPTAGE
vocalist: BREEEEEEEEEEE! BLAUGH!
as a metal vocalist... sometimes you just gotta BLEAUGH
And of course the non-existent / inaudible bass lollll.
Man it's only 20hz so don't listen to it. Count the number of vibration it creates.
And don't forget that every time you hesr the bassist speak (savour it, you don't know which year they will let him on the mic again) you realize that the man is actually a beast that knows music theory way too well compared to the rest of the band and you start asking yourself a ton of questions
I absolutely love the heaviness of modern metal but I miss those days where songs have technical and fun to play riffs. I used to practise a lot to cover those songs but nowadays I just go 000000 on my 8 string with pitch shift thats low as hell. It is heavy but sometimes boring to play.
Thankfully we still have Tech death like Inferi, but I miss the days of Monuments by This or the Apocalypse (Now HAWK), Infinite Death by Thy Art, Common Man's Collapse by VoM and Rareform by ATB. None of those bands are anything close to what they were.
If it makes you feel better, no one's stopping you from jamming to those tunes
Bands like that are still out there, you just have to look past what is considered popular "modern metal"
Why do you miss this? There are a FUCKTON of bands out there with technical and fun to play riffs.
Well not sure if it's metal or electronic music or both but Onus Rēgulus by ludicin kinda portrays the video
It’s insane the difficultly change they gave the drummer in the most recent update
As a drummer myself though, I’m all in
Your deeds of valor will be remembered.
"Most recent update" LMAO
Finally, the drums are animated correctly.
Although I think he is using a can as a weight on the tom rather than the snare.
Ow XD
him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t worry. The drummer enjoys it.
can attest
We're categorically insane
He’s having the time of his goddamn life.
Yep
I mean i get the joke, but i actually like it lmao, has a nice groove to it! Also great guitar sound man sounds heavy AF
Thank you so much! Even though I made fun of this kind of music, I actually love it so much 😂
@@YangJinHyun It is kinda true though hahahah, but also who doesn't want to have a drink while playing a set😂
@@koolin3613I mean the problem is it getting kinda oversaturated when every other fuckin band uses them
@@Ilickmyballs That is very true! But i still love low tuned guitars, with moderation it stays fun! Drop D can also be heavy as fuck just listen to Lamb of God as proof haha
@@koolin3613 I also love it.. Humanity's Last Breath and many Buster Odeholm's music sound like this and I love it..and you don't have to tell me to listen to lamb of God... I've been in this community long enough 😂
I love that he's not even fretting different notes, just changing the pitch shifter in post

I feel called out
This comment feels personal
would've stuck around if it was UmanskyBass
The age of the bedroom guitarist babyyyy
many such cases
He looks so happy awww :3
He's crying inside. Stop abusing drummers 🥲
I love how peaceful and happy bro becomes in the halftime hehe
Bro needs a break 💀
And the guitarist also gets all the praise.
I mean, all you should care about is sound, else you're not "listening" to music. So, if the guitar player did all that research to get his tone like that while maintaining it THAT creative, I'd say is respectable. A lot more than a "virtuoso" who never learned about sound.
@detuneCris Cope, if you can't plug into an amp and play good, you can't play.
no they don’t, everyone is always going off in comment sections about the drummer in this type of genre 💀
@@Trahzy there are sounds that you can't do naturally just plugged into an amp. And those sound really cool. If you play electric guitar and think everything should be "natural", then you're playing the wrong instrument.
The drummer is MIDI, why should he get praise? 😂
We live in a day and age where you need a computer to play guitar
the animation is so beautiful and i love the bell hit with the beans 💀
At this point the bass left the chat . . . 😂😂😂😂
I'm not a metal fan, but would go to metal shows often with a friend. To me, it sounded like a competition to see who could make the most noise (the drummer is using the footpedals at 1000 bpm, and he's winning by a lot). I really love the enthusiasm from the whole band tho.
Different styles of metal with different sounds.
Then go back to listen crappy pop music, it doesn't require talent that
@ihatehumans487 Sorry. Didnt mean for you or anyone to take it personally. To each their own lol
@@ihatehumans487As an old school metal fan I can confirm: there are a lot of pop artists that make a good job and have real talent.
Truly
Did no one notice yet how that dude held a fret with a frickin bottle at 0:03?!?!?!
and i just love how drums got the focus they always deserved
We need the full song!
avg humanity's last breath song
💯
ABSOLUTELY TRUE 🙌🙌🙌🙌
I need a full version of this
Drummer: 🤖
😂
As someone who played percussion for about a decade, there's a reason I'm a metalhead
ive been playing for 2 decades
The animation is incredibly smooth. Hitting snare with head is cherry on top
The drawing is DOPE
Metal guitarists spending $600 on mods to chug 0-0-0 on the low E 💀
Lmao if I ever lost my fretting hand in an accident I would still have a chance 😂😂😂
It's the soft headbanging between that really does it for me.
Heinz Beans gotta be the best ride cymbal
I only use Heinz Beans.
Goregrind moment
The tin of beans made me laugh
I loled at the transition from super fast drumming to super epic. Literally half of the music i listen to.
Literally the reason i love playing drums
As a rock drummer in a band like this, I can agree. This exactly how it is.
Why animation is sooo cute ❤
that intro really reminded me to the intro of "sunset heights" from sonic forces
New reflections song just dropped
We enjoy this stuff lol
Until it becomes too much of a pain lol
I don't know if anyone else does this but I do kind of find it funny that I'm looking to program drums for tracks even though I'm primarily a drummer over a bassist and a guitarist...
Recording drums is way too much effort 😭
That being said, recording actual drums does allow for a lot more articulations and timbres than programming!
Recording drums is just pure pain... and editing drum tracks is basically a torture 💀 Of course it's better than programmed drums in every aspect if it's done right.
@@YangJinHyun FYI Meshuggah's Catch Thirtythree is all programmed drums and I'm pretty sure it's amazing.
You gotta always evaluate the character of drum machine vs actual drummer.
I prefer Drum Machine over an actual drummer even in metal since it sounds unnatural but also more unique.
For a good album thats almost all Drummachine Nailbomb - Point Blank comes to mind.
Sadly no one in the band remembers what drum machine was used anymore.
P much all my black metal stuff was 808 since its suprisingly good for blast beats.
@@eightcoins4401well that's sad.
@eightcoins4401 And that's why I hate modern metal. If you're gonna fake the drums, why not fake everything in midi? Might as well make music completely fake by that logic, the technology is allowing it these days.
As a huge Humanity's Last Breath fan, I absolutely love this!
Another fan here! Glad you liked it.
what about vildhjarta? like them?
They were the first band I thought of when I watched this lol
Love the bass
very true, the bassist simply does not exist
Drummer be giving it the beans!
This video totally misunderstands the concept of modern metal. The drums should be programmed.
guitarist should be programmed too. and the video should be ai generated
Are you sure that I'm not an AI?
@@YangJinHyun i’m pretty sure ai generated people play guitar really well with the amount of fingers they have
@@katekilerhilarious
is this the return of true_hilarity?
DUDEEEEEEEEEEE, I listened to your songs on Spotify, now you're one of my favorite musicians. I don't know what else to say. Your songs are just perfect.
Thank you so muchhhhh!! It means a lot to me that you like my music 🥹
Good stuff.
As someone who is only able to play Mary Had A Little Lamb on the flute, i can wholeheartedly confirm this is 100% accurate
I really liked how the drummer smashed his face onto the snare
This is why it's my favorite genre to play. The pain of it is pure pleasure
Yeah this sounds fuckin awesome
I am on my phone so I don’t know if any other instruments are mixed in. I normally don’t like this kind of metal but this was nice, I could hear each instrument and it had some rests to let my brain process for a second, I like it!
Glad you liked it!
actually this is a reason i like doom metal. it has more guitar most of the time
I appreciate you including the bassist in this video too.
I love when he hits the snare with his face
Меня всегда удивляет то, насколько расслабленными выглядят гитаристы, когда играют такие динамичные рифы!
Unironically, this sounds really sick. How did you create the ”sucking in” sound at 0:09 ?
Prolly just a guitar bounced, reversed and automated
@@TachyBunker Usually just a reversed snare/hi hat hit
@@SuffyANX ye, here it's clear that's not the case though
@@TachyBunker Hmm, that's what I suspected. It doesn't sound like a guitar though. Perhaps a reversed snare reverb.
Reverse cymbal into reverse snare for sure
As this surveillance footage from a music producer's home proves.
Honestly I'm just here for the drummer animation that was sick
I have tried to resist the boomer urge to dislike new things because new, but this prog-djent stuff is on its, like, 10,000th distillation and there's no flavor left.
Prog and djent have become so manufactured to my ears that as soon as I hear something new I can't help but think "I've basically heard this before", the same way I used to do with mainstream pop songs. It's rare for a metal or rock band to get me anymore
@@RasheedKhan-bm8fm Battle Beast would like you to visit.
I switched mainly to Japanese music because their musicians are going so hard. Nemophila for heavy metal, Band-maid for hard rock, Lovebites for a bit of power metal, and Hanabie for more creative cutesy mixed with super deep screams. They're also all female bands so to me Japanese women are the face of heavy music now. @@RasheedKhan-bm8fm
listen to some metal other than djent then@@RasheedKhan-bm8fm, there's lot of exciting new bands that don't sound like any others
@@RasheedKhan-bm8fm Simple fix...Take a nice long break from music....I mean NOTHING unless you play it yourself.
Please, turn this into a full song.
You will get a full song when Thall gods give me inspiration to finish it 🙏
@@YangJinHyun I see, i will pray then
@@YangJinHyuncollab??? i mean i don't play a single instrument but i can produce lol, ive always wanted to collab with a metal guitarist
its called humanity's last breath lol
This breakdown goes hard.
That’s why I love that one video of Infant Annihilator where musicians are so funny animated
The drummer was the character with the most development in the entire history of humanity, going from the background to being the key piece of rock or metal.
PS: What is the name of this masterpiece turned song?
Drummers are carrying the metal genre rn
This is true
Drum machines are carrying the metal genre.
yeah, if you ignore all the vocals, guitar, bass and keyboard, drummers are definitely there... doing something, i think...
Superior drummer 3 is carrying the metal genre
Thats why i love the drums
It sounds so peaceful 😌
Do we call it post-metal?
The video itself is inspired by Buster Odeholm's work (e.g. Humanity's Last Breath, Vildhjarta and Reflections) and people call it 'Thall'.
@@YangJinHyun I got that Thall feeling in the end! You are right, as much as i like HLB and Vildhjarta, some HLB riffs are literally what you portrayed in the video lol
post-metal is already a genre, bands like Neurosis, Isis, Cult of Luna, etc.
@@SpookyApparitionThose are amazing bands. Pelican is another great one
@@SpookyApparition I was just memeing with the comment cause I don't really listen to metal.
I was playing off of the rock/post-rock relationship.
But if you could expand on the "etc", that would be great. Mkay.
I prefer the more heroic and fantasy aspects of Power Metal, but this absolutely deserves respect for the musical skills.
The casual head slams, yeah. That is quality good right there.
That type of production looks excellent on Cyber Metal
High key, the drummer is having way more fun than the guitarist.
Yeah actually this video is made to raise awareness of sad and bored guitarist.
Just how i like it 👌
the drop is just straight doom
That animation is good
То, что мы так любим. Идеально.
I 'liked' this, but I don't know if that was the right thing to do.
Feels right to me! Thank you!
Congrats on getting the bass sounding right!
I like how he chills while the song with drums still playing
* PLAYS IN BLUETOOTH *
damn dude this goes hard as fuck do you have a full version planned or anything?
Not yet but you can check out my other songs!
linktr.ee/yangjinhyun
Can confirm we drum players do slam our head into the snare for no reason when playing
I knew it
This is very for some bands. Everything else is dreamy as usual, but your mind just zones in on the drums and thinks goddamn that's fast
Now if you want funeral doom, keep the guitarist the same but make the drummer 10 times slower
I feel like this is a result of audio-engineer metal, stuff like Mick Gordon's work. You can just program the drums to be crazy and they'll sound real/good enough, and then just do basic downtuned super prod'd guitar stuff, and you'll sound super heavy and "pro" without any actual instrument playing ability.
You don’t like mick gordon?
but mick gordon does neither of those things
The sound engineering is actually quite hard to get those industrial sort of sounds.
If you just programmed drums without a good idea of sound design itd sound like absolute shit.
It's really hard to make any programmed drums sound good enough, be that some overpriced hi res drumkit sample pack, a drum machine or a crappy 12 bit rompler sound library.
Pretty much half of the sound people associate with most metal genre comes from post-production anyways.
There's alot of old death metal and black metal demo tapes which would be a great example of how alot of the heaviness comes from a studio engineer putting delays and compressors on things. Hell even the Trve Kvlt stuff people still fight over nowadays is basically amateur sound engineering.
To be fair, I actually think Mick Gordon’s soundtracks are better than all those djent/math metal albums you see on bandcamp and such these days.
And then they try to do a live gig and whole thing falls apart because they can’t play their own material.
(Like one of the bands I saw recently)
Those calves could stop a coastal defense gun shell.
time to do this on a bandlab song
"Metal"
Core
Every metal album you listen to now is layered with a drum machine. That one metal drummer you love so much is nowhere nearly as good as you think they are.
